Title: Bitcoin holding and trading
Post by: DavetJack on May 01, 2025, 09:45:27 PM
We have seen since 2024 that Bitcoin is now pumping much more than it was in 2017 to 2018, which has enabled many prominent investors to earn a good amount of money. But what should we do now..?? We have seen that when the price of Bitcoin was very low, the price of all coins was almost good. Again, when Bitcoin pumped 100k from above in 2024, the price of Bitcoin along with the price of all coins was very good, but suddenly the price of Bitcoin decreased slightly, the price of all coins decreased a lot. If we take a look, there are some such coins that now have no value.

What do you think we should do now?? Share your opinion.

When the price is down or discounted, the best thing to do is to buy as much as possible - because bitcoin will surely recover faster.
Utilize the DCA strategy as it can be a great solution to continue accumulating bitcoin regardless of the price, which is what I do.

So buy and then HODL.
There are people trading bitcoin on futures then it's too much risk, so it's better to just invest far less risk.

From what I understand of your question, you're talking about altcoins that haven't recovered like Bitcoin has, right?

If that's the case, the altcoins market is like that, it has a lot more risk and more return, they go up a lot, even more than Bitcoin, but when the fall comes, it's usually strong and many altcoins don't recover and can be almost “forgotten” for a long time
Bitcoin is a safe haven, I only recommend venturing into altcoins if you know what you're doing and don't follow too many influencers
Some altcoins have fallen 50% for example and haven't recovered while BTC is at almost 100k again

Just like the post above mine pointed out - most of those altcoins whose price have fallen significantly might not ever recover again. That’s why I have very little altcoins in my portfolio and I’d advice you take this opportunity to learn more about those few coins that are capable of bouncing back after experiencing a price drop.

Bitcoin is definitely going to get back to the ATH soon enough and even hit a new one and some altcoins will gain some price momentum along this bitcoin movement while others will remain the same or just have a little difference in price and that will be all.

If you still trust your coins/tokens, just hold them until it meets your selling target. There is still a chance that we will have good market again in the next few weeks/months. It is not the end of the bullrun season yet, so we don't need to give up earlier. As long as there is still a hope, I think it is better to keep holding the coins/tokens.

Bitcoin seems trying to cross $100k again. You must be aware that the price is crossing $97k today. It may be around $100k again in the next few days/weeks. If this positive sign continues, the price of most altcoins will follow it. Everyone must realize that altcoins prices also try to increase very well recently.

Do not invest in altcoin because I believe it was from altcoin you are having this experience, for me I wouldn't for any day stick with altcoin while bitcoin is there. Just buy bitcoin and do away altcoin except you want to go for short term investments then you can likely hold some other reputable altcoin and after which profit is made then you can sell it off and hold back bitcoin for long term.

Yes, brother, we have seen that many people are dumping Alert Coin compared to Bitcoin. In that case, we have seen that among some of the top coins of Alert Coin, ETH SOL is now in the market at a much lower price. Since Bitcoin was worth 100K, the price of the top coins of Alert Coin should have been in a good position. However, if we invest in the short term, it is better for us to do it in Bitcoin for now. Whether it is short term or long term, we can do this for you to earn here.

Have you lost your confidence, my friend? So you complain about it?? If you are sure about the coin you have, then just hold it... whether it's Bitcoin or altcoin, if you have full confidence based on mathematical calculations, just hold it... some people think the cycle is over, but there are also some who believe the bullish period is still going on... so there is still a possibility to get a moment where you can sell your assets and make a profit...

If the asset you hold is Bitcoin, you will never be wrong to hold it for a long time... even though you will see the market is very volatile, in the end the direction of bitcoin will still be up in the future...

lots of people are wanting to diversify their portfolio which i have no problem against since it is their choice and i do believe that diversifying can actually be advantageous if they choose the different projects they will invest in but to me the majority of your portfolio should always be bitcoin since it is the safest and would most likely be the most profitable over long term that is the goal to have enough money to diversify portfolio but have most of it on bitcoin

Do with your bitcoin as you please, and if you are an Altcoin holder, do with it as you please also, for this is the liberty we all have as cryptocurrency holders, you don't need anyone to tell you what to do with that cryptocurrency that you hold, you on your own can decide to either hold it or trade/sell at that point in time..

As for the prices, there was never a time cryptocurrency prices are stable except stable coins, price of cryptocurrencies are meant to fluctuate, and at times, the prices can go really down, and other times, it can go up, what you owe yourself as a crypto enthusiast and investor is to always do your own due diligence and ensure that you put/invest your money in the right crypto assets, if you hold the right coins, you won't bother yourself about short term price fluctuations.

Let me highlight a little how the crypto market works. first, it very obvious that bitcoin drives the entire market prices, and most clearly, the demand for Bitcoin surpasses the altcoins on the market, which give rise to bitcoin dominating the markets constantly.
Now, if you are a holder or trader, it is particularly important to always watch the Bitcoin trends and movements to take a buy/sell position at certain market prices, especially when Bitcoin has hit a strong resistance level, and according to your plans, holding/trading strategies.
Again, it also very important to learn the cryptocurrency trading/market trends to get some knowledge, a continuous learning through trading/holding, and asking good questions will grow your experience overtimes.

I will do both, if you have good enough trading skills or knowledge, then use half of your funds for trading and take advantage of any price fluctuations that occur.

Not only Bitcoin, but potential cryptocurrencies with large volumes will provide faster profits.
But of course, do a good analysis and use strategies that can save the trade from big losses.

I'm also holding some of the top Bitcoin and altcoins for the long term, only doing DCA when the price really dips, that's a pretty good strategy, DCA gives a cheaper buying average.

For those who bought Bitcoin early it's best to continue holding it for the long term until they reach a price that suits their ambitions. Of course, each person has a different target for their selling price.

For those who missed out on buying early, I believe that buying at this time will not yield the profits they desire. Therefore, they have two options: the first is to buy Bitcoin at a reasonable price and keep it as a store of value and a hedge against inflation, preferable to keeping their money in dollars or in banks. The second option, if they are looking for profit, is to buy good altcoins that can grow significantly in the future and generate some profits.

Bitcoin is one of the best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency world. So holding and trading bitcoin is also the best profitable source in cryptocurrency market. So if we want to invest in bitcoin we should select down market for best profit. I think that if any person could hold bitcoin in few month, when bitcoin price is remain $80k i believe that they must be benefits from bitcoin. We also know that trading system also a best profitable source in cryptocurrency market. So if we want to trade in bitcoin, i think that it must be benefits for us. Because we know that profitable crypto must be helpful for us.

          -    Yes, we have witnessed and seen that for years, even until now long-term investors in this field of crypto space are still doing it because they see and believe that there are still no changes that its rise in the market will continue.

It would be a good feeling if we knew when there would be a retracement in the price of bitcoin because for sure we would sell, but its price is also unpredictable. If only we knew how to use the timing of selling and buying bitcoin correctly. Because we would definitely get a decent profit in the future.

Yeah - some experts say bitcoin will be above $120K in the future or at least this bullish season, but whether it's true or not we never know - here only speculation can be done, but looking at bitcoin history always shows record highs.
What is certain is to continue to maintain your investment now, if possible continue to accumulate because who knows the price of bitcoin will return to $150K as its new ATH.

It seems that your question bothers on altcoins that are yet to recover after the recent downtrend that they reacted with Bitcoin. If that's the case, then you just have to make peace with the fact that altcoins are very volatile and because of their volatility nature, they tend to reward you beyond you can ever magine and also can make you lose money far more than you ever imagined. Altcoins doesn't have the amount of recovery power that BTC possesses so you don't always expect them to follow the market movement BTC.

And now, the price of Bitcoin has risen very significantly in recent weeks, even now it is in the range of $97k. What does that mean? It means that we just adjust it to our tactics, This is still in a condition that is heading towards bullish, it has not yet fallen, so whatever the market conditions are, we just follow the flow.

Well, sometimes this is quite worrying because the price of BTC has fallen to below $80k, but as we believe that Bitcoin has not returned to the peak of its bull run this season, right, just enjoy the journey.

Because now the increase has been very significant and has almost reached $100k again, we must also be vigilant and ready if there will be another correction before breaking through another high number again.

Like i know there are people who still value altcoin than bitcoin due to its massive profits, this same people are also there calling people names about bitcoin because they don't put their mind to invest in bitcoin instead they keep targeting cheap coin to invest to make millions out of no stress and hustling.

So basically, you are talking about altcoins that dumped hard while Bitcoin moved sideways. Well, this is not anything unusual. When Bitcoin pumps and the dominance keeps increasing, the alt also pumps, but the dominance does not increase. But when the Bitcoin market takes a small correction, most alts start bleeding and losing value.

This has been happening for a long time, and if you are a veteran crypto user, you should not be surprised to see this volatility.

You have no business trading if you have no knowledge in it or even if your knowledge is limited. Trading is not something you should be trying and risking a lot of money on because you could lose it all.

Hodling will work for you so long as you have a consistent source of income.
