Title: Not a financial advise, just my opinion.
Post by: MainIbem on May 06, 2025, 02:43:36 PM
My main priority when it comes to buying and hoarding cryptocurrency is Bitcoin cause it's much more preferable to other ones when it comes to long-term goals, I'll advise everyone to own a fair portion of bitcoin in their portfolio but then nothing stops anyone from diversify to other cryptocurrencies after they've accumulated a fair amount of Bitcoin as well as having spare cash for diversification, anyways if am to diversify to Layer 1 alts, ETH, BNB, SOL and maybe DOT would be the ones I'll focus more on then if I'm to pick memecoins I'll go for the ones that's survived several circles, memecoins like, Doge, Pepe and Bonk, share your thoughts about this.

I also prefer just bitcoin for long term investment. I also prefer altcoins but I see them like I am gambling because of how they are they are more volatile and failing to get to all-time high makes me to prefer just bitcoin. I can trade the altcoins or prefer a very short term holding for them when their prices have fallen significantly and after a long term bear market which their prices fall more.

My investment progress isn't satisfactory yet, so basically i want to remain my stay on Bitcoin, i won't try to diversify somewhere since sooner we are getting into the bear season, rather take charge of accumulating Bitcoin more and taking opportunities of dips when they come.

I also prefer diversification, it’s the best strategy. Bitcoin is the best option for long term investments. Diversifying into top Layer 1s like ETH and SOL for long term is also a great idea as they both have strong ecosystems. Lately, memecoins have also caught my attention especially with the how much they’ve been growing especially the resilient ones, Doge and Shiba Inu. Personally, I’d be on the lookout for emerging narratives too, just in case the next big one shows up.

Your advise is in line with what I believe in, am a bitcoiner although I have not reach the level of my satisfaction when it comes to my accumulation level, personally am not against what anyone believes in or their decision towards any cryptocurrency but one thing is sure in anything we want to involve ourselves into, which is investing in a trusted asset that wont get you worked out in the process, the history of Bitcoin speaks high volume for it, so making it your priority to invest and hodl Bitcoin is the best decision you can make as far as your investment in the crypto space is concerned as for diversification, for me that one will come later when it is necessary, for me is Bitcoin all the way.

This is a very good advice to hold Bitcoin. Bitcoin is an asset that if someone holds it, then it will provide a lot of financial support for him in the future. We create different types of assets, but in the future there will be no asset bigger than Bitcoin. Now Bitcoin is very expensive, but in the future it will be much more expensive when we will not have the ability to buy that Bitcoin. So if we cannot hold Bitcoin from now on, then only we will have to regret it. And our future generations will blame us. So holding Bitcoin according to our ability will definitely be a good decision, say profitable.

My main priority is bitcoin, because we know that bitcoin is one of the best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency world. So i am also agree with your prefer comment. So if we want to invest for our future asset, i think that bitcoin is appropriate choice for us. But if we want to find another new altcoin, i am also agree ETH, BNB, SOL will be best decision for investment. But i actually think that some of meme coin also will be very helpful for investment. But if only one which crypto currency will be best for investment, i say that bitcoin is one of the best and profitable crypto in cryptocurrency market.

Going for other options after accumulating a large amount of bitcoin is also a good idea to many people. Many have used this type of approach and it worked well for them. One thing I notice with using this type of method to accumulate crypto assets is that you need to do your own diligent research for the choices to go for it you’ll end up regretting the choices you made and didn’t make you any profit but lose woefully in your investment.

The layer 1 alts you’ve mentioned will be good choice even if I would also want to diversify. Coins that have survived more that one bull cycle and are still standing strong are also good choice that won’t be a gamble. I have heard a narrative from someone that invest in altcoins and bitcoin, but he said all those coins rugged him and only bitcoin was what could suffice for those big loss in other altcoins he invested in.

He didn’t mention the name of the coins as they were many but I was sure it is among those hype coins that end up being a pump and dump ones. Bitcoin should be your basic and should at least take 70% of your portfolio if at all you want to invest in other alternatives coins.

If I were the only one who was asked and wanted to save for 4 years, it would be better to allocate it to bitcoin (BTC), though not a financial advice either, I'm just saying this because this is what I've really seen that it's 100% proven and tested.

Actually, I gave advice to a friend of mine who said he was planning to put savings worth 10k in our currency here which is equivalent to 180$, so I told him it's better to just buy bitcoin and then put it in the electrum wallet as long as he just keeps the private key and seed phrase and at least I said he himself has control of his fund, not someone else. Because Bitcoin is proven and tested, its price will go up as time goes by.

It's a wrong idea to diversify into assets of the same line. That's as you are investing in bitcoin, bitcoin is the king and unique of all so why do you want to diversify into altcoins that are been controlled by bitcoin price movement. If bitcoin dips, alcoins dip and that's a double loss. It's good that you diversify into a different asset like gold, stock, bond or real estate. The main reason for diversity is to spread out your wealth into various assets so that if one of the isn't doing well in price, the other can balance the loss.

I will also advise investors, especially new investors, to include Bitcoin and make it a significant percentage of their portfolio., It has proven its worth for many years. Investing in Bitcoin is sound financial advice for me, but be sure to accept the market conditions, because its not always good rides.
There are a lot of bumps, but eventually, if you keep your faith, you will keep your profit.

When it comes to investing in cryptocurrency, altcoins are usually not my pick and that's because I consider investing in altcoins as a form of gambling because of the so much uncertainties in them. Bitcoin have been my best option and will always be but on intervals, my altcoins specialist friends do give me signals to buy alts and I do heed to their signals in some occasions.

I don't think investing in ETH, BNB, SOL, and possibly DOT is considered diversification, as they all fall into the same category: smart contract management. ETH, BNB, and SOL are all interconnected, unlike Monero, Bitcoin, stablecoins, and so on (assuming this is diversification).
