Changpeng Zhao ”CZ” offered a fresh perspective on Bitcoin’s trajectory, suggesting its price might climb anywhere from $500,000 up to $1 million in the ongoing market phase. Speaking on a recent podcast, Zhao expressed confidence in the continued growth of digital assets, though he avoided tying his prediction to an exact timeline.

At press time, Bitcoin price was trading close to $94,779, after reaching a peak of over $108,000 in January 2025. Zhao has previously made forward-looking estimates, some of which have played out. In 2020, he spoke of Bitcoin eventually crossing $100,000 — a mark it finally broke in late 2024.

During the same discussion, Zhao added that he sees the overall cryptocurrency market reaching a combined value of $5 trillion within this year.

CZ has officially joined the 1 Million Dollar Club with his latest prediction on what can happen to Bitcoin though he is not giving a timeline for the said forecast which is to me is just rationale. Names like Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" author Robert Kiyosak, Samson Mow, the CEO of Jan3, Balaji Srinivasan, the former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Coinbase, Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy,  Maelstrom CIO Arthur Hayes and maybe more are personalities who expressed optimism of the 1 million prediction with different timelines.

it is indeed smart a lot of us believe that bitcoin will eventually reach $1 million but as usual the question is when, not if

high profiles stating an exact timeline does nothing but embarrass themselves they appear to be too optimistic and sometimes can come off as unrealistic and illogical when people say that $1 million can be achieved this year a lot of people grow suspicious and this sentiment only undermines the things that bitcoin is achieving right now so better to not put an exact time on something as big as hitting the $1 million mark

I'm not exactly sure what basis CZ might have for making such an overly positive prediction. Personally, I have no way to chart or draw this price zone because it's just too positive, too optimistic. The only possibility is that BTC changes its behavior and no longer reduces its growth amplitude with each cycle, or this cycle will turn into a supercycle and BTC will continuously increase in price until 2029 without experiencing a crypto winter 2026-2027.

$150-170K is the most feasible price zone I can think of for BTC in this cycle. I will be extremely cautious as soon as BTC approaches that price range. $500K or $1M are indeed attractive, but I haven't dared to think about the opportunity to take profit in that price zone yet.

ye i would like to join if there is no membership fee.  being a bitcoin investor i think one should really be joining passionately like wearing laser eyes.

the list goes on by the way. its been so long time that Cattie Woods said its going to $1M, these people really want BTC investors to just keep holding while they also also tried to manipulate the users who panics every time.

I think that's a reach, even for BTC. A more realistic figure would be around 150k if we get another bull run.

Anybody can make a prediction, and it is even easier when you do so without any timeline. I can just throw out a prediction on how i believe BTC will reach $500k, and if it happens in 10 years time or so, people would say i was right, lol, even though i was just making a prediction without any rationale behind it.

CZ said this, a lot of people have also said the same thing, nothing new, we'll see what happens in the future.

Now I'm in the club of rich people then because I made that prediction. :D

Kidding aside, I'm done with almost very optimistic predictions where they don't have anything to back it up. Like what others said, anybody can make their own prediction. It's just that, they are very successful and rich people that's why their predictions are the ones that are being put online and creating an article for it.

Will it happen though? Anything can happen as always, but the chances are low. Close to zero percent for me.

I think CZ was predicting the price of bitcoin in the future and can't be this year. There has been several predictions about hitting $500k to $1m but most of them are long forecasting of Bitcoin prices.
I am just particularly concerned of the price on, or before the end of this year, 2025 and looking at $125k to $150k level.

The group have very few members, although there are more, but still I welcome CZ haha, 1 million dollar target seems a big deal and I searched each person you mentioned, and the common timeline of all of them except Balaji, is around 2026 to 2030 to 2035 and speaking of Saylor especially, he is one optimistic dude who even said BTC can value 12 million dollars per coin till 2045 haha that's really insane.

Well, after seeing the prediction of all of them, I think maybe till 2030, BTC might value half million dollar but 1 million dollar is a big target and I don't think even till 2035 it can acheive it. And yeah I excluded Balaji, because he predicted in 2023 that in 90 days, BTC will hit 1 million target which it didn't so.
