Title: Updating the Translator badge
Post by: God Of Thunder on May 09, 2025, 07:20:34 AM
Hey there.

I got the Translator badge last night. However, the white background color of the badge image makes it look weird and does not match the forum background. I checked that almost all the badges look good because they do not have background colors, or even if they do, they match the forum background color. I request the admin update the badge image when you have free time.

Current badge image:

Suggested badge image:

Or any other image that the admin picks.

This reminds me of the redesign of the Japanese flag

I personally think that there are too many badges here. Some users have a large number of titles like this, and for me personally, it all distracts my attention unnecessarily. That is, it was distracting, now I don't pay attention to it anymore and completely ignore them.

Regarding your suggestion, I would always prefer to choose an image without a background.

I've never been bothered by such things, especially when it comes to static objects. I know that on BTT there is an option to block signatures and avatars, but as far as I can see there is no such thing here. Maybe there's a browser add-on that would block all images, so you could try that if it really bothers you that much.

Frankly speaking, it doesn't matter much. Whether it's a white background or a transparent, many of us wouldn't even care, since there are only a few translator badge holders in the forum. Another thing to consider, if we're talking about changing or modifying this old logo, then why not update all of them? Maybe hire a skilled graphic designers to redesign them into modern artwork, because most of the logos I see gives off an old, retro, or vintage vibe. Don't you think? My two cents... ;)

The forum admin did what their have to do innthe designing pf those badges, of a truth I just recently noticed the badge titles amd knowing what each really means, just like the two previous comments mentioned, it doesn't matter any ways as there are more important things to Upgrade and improve on over here.

But overall it's worth celebrating to have the translator title badge ans it worth all the suggestions and corrections, but the admin may or may not fine this as a necessity.

+1 karma.

At first reading the post I was really wondering why bother so much for something that ain't worth that much stress? I mean it's not like the badge does any special effects or something although I understand it's your earned identity or title but some of the things we stress about is really not something to worry.

Well the admin can look into changing it but I believe admin was discussing of lately why there are some updates to some of the logo's here which is to give them a refreshing vibe as new so...

I don't think it is a big deal. I also don't see it as a weird background. If it isn't very suitable with forum background, it doesn't mean to be weird.   :-\

If you have a problem with the number of badges, you can suggest lowering its number. However, kindly purpose it on your own thread. Have you created such topic?

Well, it depends on individual perception, I personally have no problem with number of badges because it seems like a unique feature.

Or any other image that the admin picks.

It doesn't matter to me for a suggestion and that is the right for all members to give advice to be better for the user interface at the Altcoinstalks forum. I will also describe some badges that have a variety of background colors from members @alltalk (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=33725)

(https://i.imgur.com/h1kHgrD.png)

High Sherif = Background --> Orange
Envoy = Background --> White-Orange
Judge = Background --> White-Gray
D. Team = Background --> White-Red (addition badge)

The White background Translator for me is not a problem because the others also have many colors such as orange, gray , red etc.
Basically, this Altcoinstalks forum may be created by Admin so that it is full in color, not monochrome so that it is more aesthetic or more attractive. This is my mind.

I fully agree with OP and the rest of the responses here. The suggestion is good and maybe if admin can have the time he can look into that but this is not a priority, of course, as this is just a very minor thing that has no bearing with how the forum is functioning. Let's allow the admin the discretion on this subject. But I always admire suggestion from any members of this forum because that is telling us that we are really active in here.
