I don't call it risk but rather a smart way of diversifying my portfolio. Normally, i invest for long term with the large cap coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, EOS etc depending on the trending coin at the moment. The short term investment goes for newly listed coins as these coins normally follow the pump and dump trend, hence the smart wins at the end of the day.

I also do the same as like as you. Becuase this is the perfect diversification for the coin market investment. Though sometimes I also try short-term plan for ETH & BTC to make extra profit.
Thanks.

the short term for now may be very dangerous because the market is currently downtrend.
maybe if we have a lot of Bitcoin it is better to buy Bitcoin at a lower price to look safe.

I'll be honest, I've been left holding a few bags, and not entirely over awed with some of them. By and large I'm pleased with what I have, even though I could have got in at a lower market rate. Some coins that I intended to be only short term investments have turned into longer term holdings simply because of the market situation. I tend not to buy anything that I'm not happy holding for the long term, even if I only plan on keeping them short term; makes it slightly less of a blow if the market drops.

Many investors diversify their risks by investing in the following way: 50% - low-risk investments, 30% - medium-risk investments, 20% - high-risk investments. The higher the risk - the higher the financial profit. I also stick to this strategy.

I believe that in cryptocurrencies you need about 40% to invest in Bitcoin, and everything else in different coins, this will help you diversify your risks, considering that the crypto market is much more risky than traditional investment tools.

If you are professional , I think You can try short term . I prefer long term because I dont have alot of time to do short.

Yes very true. Long-term investment is only for potential coins in the future. Bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, ripple are coins that have a high potential value. I am not interested in short-term trading because it is very risky if we do not know which coins are traded.

For me the long term would be for bitcoin ethereum litecoin. Cryptocurrency that has a high volume and market share. Short terms are for some altcoins with low volume.
