For a long time I was looking for a solution with which I could easily jump from fiat to the crypto and backwards. As a result, a local Dad named Google provided me with this solution. And it is called Elegro Wallet.
-
What about me, i found out about PTP Wallet, it's easy to use and you can add and use any tokens
-
Elegro wallet works great. That is what I was looking for a long time. This is an easy way to manage your crypto currencies, change it to fiat and so on. Highly recommend.
-
Hi guys! I am newbie to this movement. Share your experience, please. Which crypto wallet are you using? I came across a couple of them... and chose two wallets for comparison - elegro (https://elegro.io/wallet) and coinomi (https://www.coinomi.co/en/). But coinomi can only be used on the android platform... At the same time, the elego has a web version as well, the first thing which I like that with elegro wallet it's possible to exchange funds at direct currency exchange rates inside the wallet. But still have some doubts... Is there someone who is using this wallets? want to get some impressions and advises
-
For me, Trezor or Ledger is the best hardware wallet. If you want to store multiple currencies with best management and wherein you could export your private keys, use Exodus. Its interface is simple and dynamic. They also update it frequently.
-
First of all, we must understand what cryptocurrencies are, then we would definitely understand the importance of choosing the right cryptocurrency wallet for the cryptocurrency you are holding.
Cryptocurrencies are the digital currency which can be sent or received, without the intervention of any third parties, through the advanced blockchain technology, with the help of a wallet address, which stores your private and public keys.
Now let's see what is a cryptocurrency wallet. A cryptocurrency wallet is a safe digital wallet used for storing, sending, and receiving digital currency like Bitcoin. Most of the coins have an official wallet or a few officially recommended third-party wallets.
There are 5 different crypto wallets (https://seo spamnews/top-10-cryptocurrency-wallets-to-look-forward-to-2019): Hardware, Online, Paper, Desktop, and Mobile Wallet.
Hardware Wallets: Ledger Nano S, Trezor, Keep Key
Desktop Wallets: Exodus, Electrum Wallet
Online Wallets: Guarda
Mobile Wallets: Jaxx, Word blocked because repetitive posts, Infinito Wallet
Paper Wallet

The are lots of cryptocurrency wallets are available right now. One of the most crucial and vital things associated with cryptocurrencies are wallets. By using these cryptocurrency wallets you can buy anything or pay for the bill. Here are a brief explanation of different cryptocurrency wallets (https://cryptolinks.com/cryptocurrency-wallet). You can use them on different occasions and purposes.
-
The best wallet for me is the Monarch Wallet - The all in one crypto wallet!
-
Who uses wallets for certain cryptocurrencies, not multicurrency? This method seems safe to me. The important thing is not to keep all the keys to the wallets in one place. For example, if you lose the key to a multicurrency wallet, then you will say goodbye to all your cryptocurrency. But storing different currencies on different wallets is more secure. For example, ETC I store here https://etcwallet.net/

Cryptocurrency wallets are the type of places where digital tokens can be stored.
They are typically powered by software, which is compatible with the specific type of cryptocurrency you own or wish to hold. The interface and design of cryptocurrency wallets vary, depending on the manufacturer, but most of them are easy to use. You can view your wallet's account balance, send and receive funds, and withdraw funds. It is worth noting that, in addition to making your coins and other virtual assets accessible to you, cryptocurrency wallets are also your business. With the advent of internet, it became easy to create and maintain a cryptocurrency account, which people use to store, send and receive virtual currency.
Invest on the best and secure platform like YuanPay group.

Exodus and Mycelium. I've heard that these are pretty good wallets for cryptocurrency. But by the way, I recently found out a little bit about them and they are also creating wallets that can be used for cryptocurrency as well. In addition, they have a lot of positive feedback, I think they can be trusted. So why don't you try?
-
In my opinion for me the Trust Wallet is the best. It is comfortable for mobile and I connected MEW Wallet into Trust. It has good technical support and normal commissions. Of course there are more safe "cold" wallets. But for mobile phone I like to use Trust.
-
Currently, cryptocurrency wallets are the most widely used, which is why there are so many types of wallets available. This is especially true of the wallets that have the most benefits.

What wallet can I use now? To keep my assets safe. I don't want to put my assets on any exchange. Because there is a problem based on KYC. I think the exchange authority will help the government to pay taxes later. I will fool later. So which wallet do I need to use? If you have any wallet with maximum security, leave their names here. I will use based on recharge. And can I look directly from Visa? Any hardware wallet?

Especially Coin98 Wallet when it supports more than 30 different blockchains, meeting the needs of all investors in the crypto market. In the future, Coin98 will become a launchpad, I really expect a lot from the development of this project.

It seems interesting tbh, I believe VALK's MERLIN smart wallet could reach that top5 soon. It's actually seems very interesting to me,I really wonder what do you guys think about that? Anybody notice MERLIN before?

VALK did great job with MERLIN. I believe they have a lot of way to go but it was an impressive start tbh. I hope DeFi's will last long so VALK will.

Choosing a wallet is one of the most important things for a user. If a user does not select the right wallet then his money can be stolen so wallet selection should be given utmost importance. Hardware wallets are always safe for users and their money is the safest in hardware wallets, but due to restrictions or other complications, many people may not be able to use hardware wallets, but there are some software wallets that are more secure than other wallets. If five such wallets are discussed then the name of Electum wallet will come first followed by the name of Mycelium wallet, Trust wallet, Ethereum wallet and Safepal wallet. I personally like these wallets a lot for security.
-
I like these wallets the most, Metamask, Trust wallet, Coinbase, Bitget and exodus. And I use Trust wallet the most.

For a long time I was looking for a solution with which I could easily jump from fiat to the crypto and backwards. As a result, a local Dad named Google provided me with this solution. And it is called Elegro Wallet.
Yeah sure Elegro wallet is good but according to the reviews in Trust pilot https://www.trustpilot.com/review/allegro-area.com?page=6
it looks like almost every reviews are just few words talking this is good and for me those are mostly fake reviews that is why the ratings is 5 stars
as we knew about trust pilot is not really a best place to check the credibility of each sites.
on the other hand , there are so many wallets nowadays that has serving its users in the best interest but i will always go back
to Ledger Nano to keep safe my altcoins.

Selecting the best cryptocurrency wallet depends on your specific needs, preferences, and the type of assets you hold. Here are five widely recognized wallets across different categories:
1. **Hardware Wallet: Ledger Nano S or Ledger Nano X**
- Hardware wallets are considered one of the most secure options for storing cryptocurrencies offline. Ledger devices like Nano S or Nano X are popular choices.
2. **Software Wallet: Exodus**
- Exodus is a user-friendly software wallet that supports a variety of cryptocurrencies. It provides a sleek interface and built-in exchange features.
3. **Mobile Wallet: Trust Wallet**
- Trust Wallet is a mobile wallet known for its simplicity and wide range of supported cryptocurrencies. It's suitable for users who prefer managing their assets on the go.
4. **Desktop Wallet: Electrum**
- Electrum is a popular desktop wallet, particularly for Bitcoin. It's lightweight, fast, and offers advanced features for experienced users.
5. **Web Wallet: MyEtherWallet (MEW)**
- MyEtherWallet is a web-based wallet for managing Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens. It allows you to create wallets securely and interact with decentralized applications (DApps).
Remember, the security of your cryptocurrency holdings is paramount. Always use reputable wallets, enable two-factor authentication, and store your recovery seed or private key securely. Consider the specific features and security measures of each wallet to find the best fit for your needs.
-
- Hardware wallets are considered one of the most secure options for storing cryptocurrencies offline. Ledger devices like Nano S or Nano X are popular choices.
Ledger wallets used to be popular choices, until they were caught lying that your keys cannot be extracted from the secure element. Ledger launched a feature called the Ledger recover, which proves that indeed your keys can be extracted from the secure element and even sent to third parties across the internet, if you subscribe to that feature , so Ledger is not recommended.
You also have other wallets in your list that are not recommended, i.e. Trust wallet and Exodus, they are both closed source wallet, and if you need a recommended multicoin wallet that is open source, try Unstoppable wallet.
-
I like these wallets the most, Metamask, Trust wallet, Coinbase, Bitget and exodus. And I use Trust wallet the most.
You mentioned here only software wallets but apart from these there are some hardware wallets which are very popular nowadays and they have not been hacked so far. Yes but software wallets are also very important and those who cannot afford hardware wallets can definitely use these software wallets. But a hardware wallet is definitely worth using for more security.
Ledger Hardware wallet
KeepKey
SafePal S
Trezor Model T
Ellipal Titan

Ledger hardware wallet is one of the hardware wallets that should not be recommended if you care about privacy. Also that its secure element is close source.
Safepal is a close source wallet that should also not be recommended. Although it is cheap but it can not be used to also connect with external wallet like Electrum and Sparrow.
The hardware wallet that I can recommend for now is Trezor. Passport hardware wallet for bitcoin only is also recommended.

To Leadger, I completely agree. There can be no anonymity/security. On the website they say one thing - in reality quite another. Without users' opinion, they implemented the recovery function. The purse has become a mess. Soon they will be forced to update the firmware. Or if you don't update it = you don't have access to your funds. ;D
For Safepal - unfortunately I have not heard much. I have never used it. Is this wallet very expensive? If you have used it, what can you say about its safety?
But for Trezor wallet - I heard the most positive feedback + did not find any negative feedback from other users. I have not used it, but I plan to do so.

Safepal is a close source wallet. It makes use of a close source secure element and also the software wallet is close source. Like I said before, you can not also use it with open source wallets like Electrum. I think there are three Safepal wallet now but I am not certain.

I can agree with this point that Ledger is not very reliable in the sense of privacy but still, when a newbie asks a question on the internet about hardware wallet the top recommendation he gets is the Ledger / Trezor and mostly Trezor also gets lower priority the people who are well informed with he ledger policies never recommend but in the case of random search due to long time dominance ledger still gets higher priority.

Thanks, interesting site + handy. The prices of course bite a bit, at $100+ dollars per device. Looked up info on Safepal - didn't like it very much. The market leader (in my opinion) is Trezor. I realize it's as safe as Safepal, but the leader in reviews + convenience is unequivocally Trezor.
P.S. I realize that an ideal opinion is formed only after a long time of use (for I do not use these devices). If I ever get around to buying + ordering = definitely going to make a thread on this topic. But, it will obviously not be soon. ;D

Another option for a cold wallet is to set up a wallet in an airgapped device, but you need to know what you are doing before creating such a wallet, and newbies may have the difficulty of using such a wallet in a safe environment. You can set up Electrum in an old device of yours that you no longer use, and completely disconnect it from the internet, this will keep your funds safe if you do everything correctly.

I want to tell you about one more security method of using crypto-wallets.
1. Buy a new smartphone;
2. Do not connect to a wi-fi network (for security reasons);
3. Install any hot wallet = use it.
P.S. This is one, simple method that few people use. But you have to give credit for it - it's safe! If anyone has used it, please share your experience. 8)

Again, it depends on the task at hand.
1. If we are talking about storage (not long-term) + the ability to store nft - most likely Ledger.
2. If we are talking about long-term storage of cryptocurrency - definitely Trezor.
3. I don't know much about other devices (to be honest). Therefore, it is difficult to advise.
4. Do not underestimate hot wallets, such as Trust, Rabby and similar.

1. Buy a new smartphone;
This is such bad advice.
The smartphone has its OS, so a third party is present and it is not the safest choice. You don't know if a bug will appear (most often you find out about it when it's already too late), plus you have additional unnecessary applications that may also have open backdoors.
Isn't it smarter if you already buy hardware, that it be one of the proven hardware wallets?

Ledger in first place? They lost trust a long time ago because they showed too many bad decisions. Plus is not open source, so it is not possible to prove that their hardware is reliable.

P.S. Again, this is not a call to any action. If this method does not suit you - you have every right not to use it! ::)
If you reason in general, also cold wallets are not reliable (Ledger) is a complete example of this. Believe me, the method I described - most people use it. Cold wallets are not suitable for everyone. + I can also write as an example about the safety of cold wallets: "How do you know that you have been handed a non-fraudulent wallet at the post office?" You realize that in case of a large replenishment, all the funds will go to fraudsters. In my mind, it's best to diversify, even in wallets. In the event of a scam, it won't be as frustrating.

Passport and Jade are recommended, they are open source hardware wallets and they are also airgapped hardware wallets, however a passport device is kind of expensive and costs ~ $199.00, but if you have a large amount of coins, then it is worth it. It is also worth mentioning that Ledger is not a recommended hardware wallet, they are closed source and their manufacturers lie about a lot of things.

Top 5 Best Cryptocurrency Wallets
For me ledger nano is a good and popular crypto wallet that offers good security and support system for a wide range of crypto currencies. It's small device that allows you to store your private key offline, however from any hackers. It's very easy to set up and operate, and it support a wide range of cryptocurrencies. The difference involved is that it's a bit price difference with other wallets, but it security is worth it.

Best wallet
Mycelium wallet
Electrum wallet
Blue wallet
Coinbase wallet
Safepal
These wallets always provide security to the user.
You could have added some hardware wallet names in the list of wallets that you have presented here. The ones you mentioned are definitely the best software wallets but there are some other wallets which are quite safe to use and very popular. User can ensure maximum security through hardware wallet but if it is not possible to use hardware wallet then these software wallets can be used if a user wants and besides these wallets a user can use my ethereum wallet if he wants. In terms of security, My Ethereum Wallet is quite secure

Currently I use Trustwallet because there are lots of members who take part in the Airdrop using Trustwallet.
I also follow this trend because as far as I know, Trustwallet and Metamask are currently the hype regarding cryptocurrency wallets.
Maybe other members will provide more information about the best cryptocurrency wallets, but currently I trust Trustwallet more to store the few coins I have.

If you are storing only shitcoins, you can continue using trust wallet, but if you want an open source recommendation for your shitcoins, there is unstoppable wallet.
However, if it is BTC you have, then use wallets like Electrum, BlueWallet or Sparrow wallet; they are recommended, open source and well reviewed.

I'm sorry but did you ever research everything before posting that non-sense? To give you a background starting with firmware versio 2.2.1,
However, the recent update changes this fundamental security structure 5. If a user opts in for the cloud feature, their seed phrase will be stored online. This is a significant departure from the promise of “cold storage” that hardware wallets like Ledger are known for.

Trust wallet has the option to store all ALT coins including bitcoins but here it is somewhat risky to store bitcoins. Many fraudsters can easily gain access to these wallets through fraud, but if such a wallet contains a large amount of bitcoins, it is of course a concern for the user. So there is no need to think so much, you should keep your money wherever possible where it is the most secure. If user want to keep only Bitcoin then I suggest him to use electrum wallet and if want to keep some ALT then he can use trust wallet.

Take note that while Electrum is a recommended wallet, the safety of your wallet depends on you the user and the device you store it in. Electrum is an online wallet and if you want better security you have to run it in an airgapped wallet and have a very good opsec to save your seed phrase safely. However, if you funds is not so big, you can use Electrum online.

One of the reasons Trustwallet is not good is because it is a close source wallet. It is good to avoid close source wallet because you do not know what the wallet is doing underneath. Open source wallets are recommended. Unstoppable wallet is good for altcoins but Metamask is one of the best online altcoins wallet. For bitcoin, Electrum is good but it is worth knowing the difference between online and offline wallets. Online wallets are not as that safe and not recommended for huge amount of coins, but you can run Electrum on an airgapped device which will make it an offline wallet.

Talking about wallets, if a wallet is a non custodial wallet but closed source, i don't think its still the perfect idea for use, why should they be private or closed about it when it should be available and made open for any interested developer to see, what is best for us is an open source non custodial bitcoin wallet, we should make more research about the implications of using either of the two and compare their respective result to know which is best.

The video link in the post you quoted above seems to have been made private, so the public cannot see what cryptocurrency wallets are recommended in the video, so I cannot comment.
Meanwhile, of the several wallets you mentioned, only MetaMask and Exodus are the ones I still trust enough to use. Both support my hardware wallet (Trezor). However, the Exodus wallet is not entirely open-source.
Although Exodus is built on many open-source components, there are components of Exodus that are not open-source.
Exodus publishes some open-source work used in Exodus on GitHub. You can view the source code, history, and continually published updates by visiting: Exodus Movement (https://github.com/exodusmovement).

I'm interested in the Electrum wallet, can this wallet be found on the Google app or do we have to download the file and extract it to our PC? where can I get information on the steps to use this wallet in a simple and easy to understand way

Your mobile wallet is online. Online wallets are not safe like cold wallets which are offline.
My advise is that you should not hold more than the amount that you can afford to lose on mobile wallets. It is good to get yourself a cold wallet. If you can not buy a hardware wallet, you can go for wallet on airgapped device.
Or you can go for multisig wallet if you need a safe online wallet. If you have 2 or 3 phones, you can use it to setup a multisig wallet.
The wallets that I have used on mobile phone that I can recommend are Bluewallet, Electrum and Samourai. For multisig, use Electrum. Although, Bluewallet has 2-of-3 multisig which is called vault, but Electrum multisig is perfect as you can use it for up to 15 signers and also you will be able to use it for 2-of-2 multisig.

Right now, I am more into Trustwallet, Metamask and Phantom (for memecoins airdrops and giveaways). I know that mobile wallets are not the safest kind as I myself experienced something bad with Trustwallet before when a coin was withdrawn from my wallet without my consent and until now I still don't understand how it was done. Now, with using many phones for multi-sig, I am just wondering what will happen if one of the phones will be lost or will not anymore be working? I am actually a technically-challenged person so I am avoiding as much as possible technical matters as they can easily confuse me...I guess this is one risky situation I have to face while staying in the cryptocurrency industry.

Mobile crypto wallet apps are indeed convenient and are chosen by many investors in the crypto market. TrustWallet does not have open-source but is chosen by many investors because it is one of the first crypto wallets to offer multi-chain features to users. I also use TrustWallet and a few other crypto wallets such as SafePal and Phantom. Phantom is very popular on the AppStore and GooglePlay, perhaps due to Solana's impressive recovery and effective marketing campaign.
Multi-sig is a useful feature when users want to improve the security of their accounts. Depending on the purpose, users can set conditions for multi-sig accounts, however, it also comes with many risks in management when a key has problems. I often see a multi-sig account linked to multiple member accounts, in which all interactions of the multi-sig account will be implemented when more than 50% of the member accounts sign confirmation.
