Title: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits?
Post by: ambar33n on July 14, 2018, 10:42:31 PM
We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

I don't think so. Because bitcoin is a vulnerable currency. It can be down or vanish anytime. So, at present, there is no chance without just trial. Nut in the future it could happen if all country supports Bitcoin globally.

until now I still have not seen and heard banks that offer deposits using bitcoin gan. especially if in my country bitcoin still considered illegal and still should not be used for transactions such as paper currency

I think it's pretty damn unlikely.  There are a lot of banks that wont even let you purchase bitcoin through them.  Banks hate bitcoin have been fighting it for the past two years now that it's more mainstream.

maybe someday it will happen because the push of bitcoin users is increasing.
and I think bitcoin will be the currency and will beat the paper money.
because many countries already allow for bitcoin

in some Altokemans already have such an idea, we get a percentage for storage, but in real life it will not be in my opinion

There are already some countries that are offering deposits because they already know that is is the coin for the future.

I think yes in due time. It should be fix before implementing the system. Banks will adjust in first stage until the time they master the transactions.

Actually that will be the end point of the whole matter of crypto. Banks will be converted into crypto banks to make it better. Fiat and crypto will have better place in banks. This will happen if we will come up to great acceptance of the people all over the world.

That will be difficult to come by, even though the world banking has seen changes, it is still not ready to accept crypto. if the banks accept crypto it means people will no longer be in need of bank services because they can access, create, manage and take control over their own money without the involvement of a third party

This is good and this is possible in the near future because JP Morgan is now supporting the Bitcoin existence but i think it need for the banks to shift from fiat banking to Bitcoin currency banking in which the banks can easily adapt to it because they are already used to digital transactions.

I think that banks will never issue loans in the crypto currency and will not accept decentralized crypto currency for deposit storage because the crypto currency will be a very risky business for them. Decentralized crypto currency always has high volatility, its price will always be volatile. Therefore, banks will not take such risks. They have many ways to earn money without undue risk.

Banks will definitely engage with crypto bitcoin world in due time. Profit, income, and earnings are what matters with banks through services offer. More years to come and we will absolutely feel it.

I really doubt it, banks hate bitcoin almost universally.  The CEO of Chase was talking shit against bitcoin for years now, and he owns quite a bit of it on top of that lol.  They'd do anything to stop it from becoming more mainstream, but it's likely too late for that.

It will never happen to a centralized bank because bitcoin is volatile. This manner of bitcoin is uncontrollable that will give hardship for the bank to put regulation.

Banks will not go in any volatile investments as they had no control of the price with bitcoin. That's the reason why banks has against bitcoin. Maybe in the future, they will make their own currency but not under bitcoin which already controlled by whales.

I think the banks will offer but it wouldn't be soon. In the sense that, bitcoin and the banks are now competitors in the business sector. The more partners you have, the more your business grows. Here is the case a lot of people  are now rushing into bitcoin meaning their transactions are not going to be through banks anymore. At this point when the banks realise they are losing, they will start to find ways and means to partnership and offer the bitcoin deposit. That is if that partnership is going to  make them gain or if they see it profitable.

Every business needs to adapt to changes and challenge like this.Im pretty sure banks are already finding ways to join the bandwagon, they will surely profit from it.It would just be a matter of time until they accept bitcoin deposit and withdrawals.

you are right, it will happen when the conditions and partners of the bank itself declined and investments bitcoin. I think there will be a time the bank gave this offer to get your partner back due to the advantages of both.

Here in my country I believe that will not happen. Because everyone who gained profit from crypto can only deposit his/her money on a bank after converting the crypto into fiat.  Crypto currency is very risky so bank will not allow that.

it has nothing to do with profit, also the banks will not allow it because it does not have a physical form.
just look at paypal,
it has been many years and until now the banks did not allow it,right ?
as long as it remains this way,i believe the banks will not allow that.but if it has its physical form in the future.
the banks might add it.

in my opinion if for the near future it still cannot use the bank to buy banknotes because there are still many in other countries still prohibiting using these coins. because of the huge risk to invest in the coin

if banks start accepting or start offering bitcoin deposits will be one of the best news some of us have heard. banks don't expect us to still use the former or traditional way of banking in this technological advancement. it is time for change and they too will have to be part of this change as early as possible

Banks will definitely support the reign of bitcoin. They cannot denied that it is trending matter nowadays. Banks will do some change in concrete mode so that everything is right once they imposes the new approach with bitcoin.

I don't think so. banks will never offer bitcoin as a deposit even though it will provide benefits. the value of bitcoin is volatile. and many countries prohibit the use of bitcoin as a payment instrument.

Maybe that will never happen because the nature of the Bitcoin is volatile and the Bank is Stable.
As we do, we also deposit the Gold to the Bank, obviously it can't because Gold also has a Deposit that is in the form of a Shop and Bitcoin has a Deposit in the form of an Exchange.

I think that banks, especially state banks, will never take bitcoin at interest on deposit storage. Bitcoin has too much price volatility and is quite risky for investment. Banks will never be so risky. They constantly have sources of profit with much less risk.
