I personally prefer invest in ethereum, because ethereum is doing well on market. Bitcoin is the best, But ethereum is better in this year.

Definitely, I will choose Bitcoin. ETH also has a good future but there is also good alternate coins like EOS. Which will serve better than ETH but though ETH had large community it will hard to defeat ETH by other altcoins like EOS. Let see what happens.

I think that Ethereum is actually the best coin to hold for a long term investment, it's the coin with blockchain used by more of 90% of projects and with a very good team. I prefer ETH to BITCOIN because BTC still has same problems of transaction cost and slow transactions..

It is unusual, but LTC's founder Charley Lee said that every person that is in crypto should buy at least 1 bitcoin, then other "shitcoins".
So I think, even if such people as him has told that, it's better to focus on bitcoin, than ETH.

Bitcoin and ethereum is good to hold. It goes the same path as ethereum rise when bitcoin increase and it goes down when btc decrease. Better to have both coins to have more opportunities to transact or trade.

I think both coins are profitable in terms of term investment is that bitcoin prices are increasing rapidly and increasing. that's why many users only invest in Bitcoin because of the speed of price and easy profit. but I think Ethereum will show faster growth this year than Bitcoin.

The reason I don’t consider this as a threat is that I believe that these two coins have different uses. I see Bitcoin admire if a store of value like digital gold. I see Etherium as more of a platform for tokens. I think they will both exist together.

Agreed but sometimes the disadvantage of ethereum is shown when the ICO supported using their platform was found out to be scam. Of course the blame will shifted to ethereum. This 2018, I'm not expecting ethereum to go back to its all time high price.
As many fuds are spawning about it. We can't blame them ethereum used as their platform on their ICOs. I just wish Vitalik expedite what is on their roadmap. The casper protocol can save them as they have a very concise plan of implementing it. The only question is when it will commence.

Chances are later Ethereum can be converted into a good investment field as well as investing in Bitcoin bro. I would say bitcoin is a better coin for long term investment. Instead of just focusing on bitcoin and ethereum, you can try other alt coins which has a strong community and a #DevelopmentTeam . Most of the alt coins will give you profit in short terms. So do your research when trading with alt coins.

I think ethereum has a future but not with this reason alone. If youre watching an following them, they have a lots of plan with great addition to their platform. For example, the casper protocol. By this we can also stake coin of the tokens we hold aside from mining it. Plasma series, these can maximize the speed of transaction and double its scalability to the extent we can easy use their smart contract without any lag and flaws. These are just what they are planning and I really wait for them to deploy it.

I like you're thoughts but you missed something. I can see that ethereum is way more advance than bitcoin in terms of tech. Bitcoin is great but the development of it steadily stable for what its worth. I just see it as valuable cause people believe that its worth something. It has value but the use of it stuck already. See how eth affects the life of some investors, they are willing to so another project and contact eth for using their platform but bitcoin? Only doing fork on a sense that separate chain for another new projects.

Bitcoin stuck with what they already reached but unlike ethereum they are trying to add features like POS this isn't same with bitcoin that only earn through mining. Eth has mining feature and will add later on stakung protocol.
