Title: I see BTC dominate
Post by: pokxon on July 20, 2018, 09:05:59 AM
I see signs of the market like November and December of last year. That is the BTC dominate. This is a sign that people are scared and especially those who trade altcoin / btc. If BTC increases, it is likely that altcoin will decrease sharply

When BTC rises or falls sharply, altcoins tend to suffer the most.  When BTC hovers around the same few hundred dollar range, alt coins tend to rise more in that scenario.  BTC is clearly the dominant coin in the market though.

True.. but we all know what happened when Bitcoin started to lose its dominant edge in December.. may be starting the next alt cycle.

To be fair though, I am a bit surprised its so high before even a bitcoin ETF announcement.. the market may go sideways for several weeks.. which seens like years in crypto.. I'm just surprised people are committing so early to the stalemate.. wonder if alts will start leaking out early even if only one by one.

When BTC hovers around the same several hundred dollars, alt coins tend to rise more in that scenario. BTC is clearly the dominant currency in the market. The movement of bitcoin is difficult to follow by other coins.

BTC dominance can start a party in the altcoins after a while. I think it's a positive indicator. If many investors switch from BTC to altcoins, we will see exactly that.

I completely agree that domination of bitcoin prevails. So far unstable people trust the market only to it. But I think that after domination growth the price has to go as up at the end of 2017. And after that people will believe in aitcoins

BTC will always dominate. It determines the price of altcoins. The is a strong correlation between the price of  bitcoin and altcoins It acts  like a reserve currency.

That is true. Since from the start, bitcoin was already dominating all crypto. Had no doubt about it because bitcoin is the king of all crypto with the highest market value. The first created cryptocurrency which become more popular around the globe today.

The bitcoin dominance index shows investors ' interest in bitcoin.Maybe they're just watching. In any case, this suggests that if growth begins-all will come out of altcoins in bitcoin.

There is a possibility like that. When Bitcoin prices rise, people's confidence will increase against Bitcoin. And they will immediately leave Altcoin to allocate their money to bitcoin.
