Bitcoin has been in existence before the springs up of altcoin, but some Altcoins have really makes their stand in the Cryptocurrency world and also acceptable among the people. So at the moment between Bitcoin and Altcoins which one is highly use as money and means of payment.

Yes crypto grows fast and everyone is familiar with crypto. not just bitcoin alone but there are thousands of altcoins in the market. this is a good progress for the future.

indeed altcoin is the same as bitcoin, but if it is declared as currency or the selected payment is bitcoin. because bitcoin is the king of all coins and only has one type of coin that is known almost all over the world. whereas altcoin has many different types of coins. but ethereum has the potential to be like bitcoin.

Bitcoin has been the cryptocurrency which is accepted money. The only altcoin which is sometimes considered as a means of payment is ethereum. Maybe as time goes by, we wouldn't need to change our altcoin into bitcoin before conversion into fiat currency.

I think Bitcoin and Altcoin is same, maybe many people already accept it as money, Myself already set crypto as my money but just virtual money, but back again to the popularity of that coin, maybe Bitcoin is the most acceptable as money for the society, and this will be developing in the future.

In my own opinion both bitcoin and altcoins are acceptable as money but it depends on the condition of the marketcap. Bitcoin was gained already the popularity in the long period of time but many altcoins also improving its popularity and demand that potentially grow in the future same as bitcoin itself.

among of the altcoins I think I woyld pick Ethereum. its the second most valuable coin next to bitcooin. and one of the most reliable.

I don't understand what do you mean with bitcoin is popular and smart contract? Due to what i know the most popular cryptocurrencies to be used for smart contract is ethereum not bitcoin. The other problem bitcoin is used for payment / money is huge fees transaction to sending of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is by far the most acceptable as a form of currency. Specific altcoins have their niches, but overall they don't have anywhere near the number of outlets that Bitcoin does. It doesn't mean that it will remain like this though, I think cryptocurrency in general is becoming more accepted as a means of currency, albeit slowly. No individual altcoin is going to knock Bitcoin off their perch any time soon though, it has the huge advantage of being 'first to market' and will have it's 10 year anniversary next year. The increasing number of altcoins being launched only serves to further dilute their feasibility as general payment options, unless it is for specific sectors/products.

All these coins are all acceptable by many people in their transactions but I think looking at the two Bitcoin has been one of the coins widely accepted.

If we survey carefully. So some of them say that Bitcoin is the one that deserves to be the digital money that Crypto has today. Indeed, in fact Bitcoin is more famous and is a favorite of many people in this World as coins that they must have today. Unlike Altcoin here. Acceptable as money by vendors? Definitely only Bitcoin if we are talking about mainstream acceptance. Some more obscure service/goods providers also accepts LTC or ETH, but BTC is widely regarded as the only crypto currency that is broadly adopted by semi mainstream crowd.

Bitcoin is a digital currency whose function is close to the function of fiat currency. Bitcoin can be used for transactions and as a means of paying employee salaries. And altcoin can't do that yet.

Both of them are equally accepted in the community as money from Crypto. But the more famous is Bitcoin than the coins in Altcoin.
