Title: Do you think government really want to stop bitcoin
Post by: Quantum X on July 23, 2018, 04:37:37 AM
Bitcoin is now very useful to others to the point that they accept it as the way of payment in spite of the fud, crash, and the resistance of some prominent personalities, and by being not yet globally accepted. But the strong enemy of bitcoin is no other than the government because even the government sees the importance of bitcoin and the big positive impact to a country they still want bitcoin to stop and bring it down although there are few countries are already accepted bitcoin.
In a country with a government full of resistance against bitcoin, what do you think is the main reason that pushing them to do things against bitcoin?

Governments certainly don't want to stop cryptos, if they wanted, they would have done it by now. The only problem for them they have no control over cryptos and can not make taxation. There wont be much problems in the future when arrangements are made on this issue.

No i think the government really can't stop the bitcoin but i think they want to have own bitcoin to control and earn tax from bitcoin too. And the mainly problem is the bitcoin can't control the bitcoin and bitcoin is uncontrol too because it made of a digital currency.

is a huge loss to the government when we have people who have large assets but do not pay taxes, and you all know it, so the question now is how to keep the government is willing to cooperate with the owners of bitcoin, and all would not be possible if the experts, the owners of bitcoin volunteered at government to keep assets safe.

To stop and to control is not the same.
Stop can also means to disable, to destroy, to prohibit.
To control means make it more organized and systematic so that government can go with the flow.

Seems that the only real problem of the governments in bitcoin and to all crypto is they can't git tax from it. We have local exchanges and such is think will not be operating without paying the government so through this government still earning from cryptos through our local exchangers.

When it comes to sharing your possession is the hard thing to many humans so as voluntarily act is not possible from bitcoin hodlers to government.

These government that you are saying that they want to stop Bitcoin are very few compared to the government that are supporting Bitcoin investments therefore we could consider these few as not a threat to the Bitcoin existence. The main reason of why they don't like Bitcoin because it can be use in illegal activities in which they don't know that regulation is always there to protect Bitcoin from illegal use.

Bitcoin is a competitor of the banking system. First, it can be very beneficial to all people. Secondly, it is very difficult to control. And the government doesn't like that.

Have ever see or heard that the governments from many countries pronouncing their support to bitcoin or to some crypto currencies? The very reason why cryptos or bitcoin have no clear position in many countries because they can not give their dull support to this.

It seems the bitcoin still met the phase of pros and cons, though not a few countries are beginning to acknowledge and accept bitcoin, there are still some States that still think the redesigned to accept it. I think this is natural because it is bitcoin hard enough to still own control.

any attemp control bitcoin won't work co'z beyond the difficulties presented by the decentralization of bitcoin itself, governments and regulatory bodies have shown they lack understanding of technological topics, and bitcoin is one of the most complex.

I agree with you that this is also one of the reasons Bitcoin hasn't been able to be accepted by the rest of the country, in addition to that there are still many limitations to access the bitcoin.

For my opinion, the government only wants them to pay or want to control the bitcoin. If it's banned then it will not last long.

There are still many exchanges living so far. And this is strong evidence that the government does not want to stop bitcoin. Some have banned the use of bitcoin, but some countries only want to regulate the circulation of bitcoin in their countries.

Because of its anonymity feature, the government is afraid that their citizens would use it for illegal purposes because they can conceal their identities behind those addresses and one can easily create hundreds of addresses so that he would not be traceable. They are afraid that illegal activities would increase when they allow bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, in general, to be allowed in their countries. While they can benefit from it if they would just regulate it, they are just banning it altogether because they don't want any additional work involved.

When Bitcoin is increasingly known by the public and bitcoin is being used more and more, the government will surely be melted by the establishment of those who want to ban Bitcoin. The government will definitely change the rules, and finally we can all be calm and comfortable with Bitcoin. I'm sure, Bitcoin will be truly accepted in all countries in the world.

the problem for the Government is in the nature of a decentralized and bitcoin Anonymous, where the Government can not intervene in it and can't find anyone, so I think it will be hard to stop the bitcoin.

the government did not stop it because for them bitcoin was not profitable for him. because of problems for them because they do not have control over crypto and cannot tax. so I think the government will not stop bitcoin as we know that bitcoin is difficult to control.

They want to regulate it so they can tax it more successfully, they know there is big money to be made. If it's not a thread to fiat currency (which it's not, yet at least) then they might as well be taking a piece of the pie in the meantime. Since that chunk "should" be a relatively worthwhile one.

Governments, of course, are not well suited bitcoin to uncontrolled high-value crypto currency and with such large volatility in price. Undoubtedly, they will legalize bitcoin under the pressure of their citizens, but then they will in every possible way restrict it in circulation.
