Title: Is it advisable to buy many altcoins?
Post by: Domithra on July 30, 2018, 03:34:54 AM
If only you can afford, it is always good to diversify your investment portfolio. Get many alt coins with the reason that at least 50% will be successful. Limiting your alt coins means, you have to be precise and accurate in choosing the right or best coins to invest in and that is very difficult to achieve.

It may be possible if you have an extra fund and you just do this for a future purposes. Best to select a good coin and hold it for many years.

Diversify is a good practice but over diversifying will not help much in your portfolio unless you gave a huge pocket and invest huge amount in all the coins.

Actualy in my own ideas its better thats you must hold only an altcoins thats you thinks thats it will profitable someday with a  low price when you buy and sell high,so thats in the times like this bearish market, you only have a small loss of your capital.

This is a good strategy to diversify your portfolio, however if you are getting an average of 10-50 dollar each for every ICO unless there is a big movement in the market, if not you are just risking your money ad not fully utilize what your money can do.

Agree, we should be precise and accurate in deciding to invest with the right coins. Find exhaustive and trusted information about the coins. Then, never invest in only one platform (one type of coin). It is very dangerous, when it is failed, you lost all your money.

It's really up to your style and personality but I will say this: if you do want to get into many projects do it slowly, don't blow your wad in a week but rather do it bit by bit.  This was my problem and it really hurt me in January!

Might be a bit optimistic, but I agree with the diversification aspect. Also depends on the amount investing in each. Not much point in spreading $50 over 10 different coins, but spreading $5000 over 10 different coins could offer a decent return. Obviously depends on funds you have available to invest. I would look at a minimum of $25 in any coin to get a return worth shouting about, so if I had $100, I'd be looking at 3-4 different coins.

Yes, even me if i have enough money as capital to invest I prefer to buy more coins today and hold it while the market price is still very cheap so once the market price will increase its beneficial to investors.

I don't think I need to buy a lot of Altcoins because the rest of your Bitcoin can back up trading, for example:

10 Bitcoin you are trading capital to buy DOGE:

0.1 buy at 80 satoshi
0.1 buy in 70 satoshi
0.1 buy in 60 satoshi
0.1 buy at 50 satoshi
0.1 buy at 40 satoshi

The remaining 0.5 is to back up when DOGE drops the price to 1 satoshi.

Holding lots of coins isn't necessarily good if they don't have potential. I prefer to choose coins that have potential, and I will hold them in the long run.

To trade in crypto I think the ideal composition is 50% bitcoin and 50% altcoin. By using this composition the user will get a big profit. Users must be smart in choosing altcoins because if the user is wrong in choosing altcoin, the user will get a loss.

If I prefer to buy bitcoin instead of the new ico coins after I see most of the ico coins when entering the market, prices go down so that it is detrimental to buying ico coins, it's better to buy bitcoin, the coins are obviously the best.
