Another one why we can not stop calling bitcoin as investment because in business fund is the measure of why we called someone as an investor who give his share to a certain project and has a share to the profit of it. Same also with bitcoin but here is very risky because investors are always being dependent to the volatility.

No I think it's absolutely an investment. You can put money in it and the price will go up or down over time, you hope that it goes up obviously haha.

I will call Bitcoin as an investment because from Bitcoin I can have a little savings for the future.

I have done it mate. When the price is low, I also buy more and hold for long term investment. So,I think bitcoin is good for long term.

Although Bitcoin's primary purpose is not as an investment, that is undoubtedly what it has turned into. Right from when the first individual sold some instead of using it to buy a product/service. I guess because the ability to mine it was restricted to those with the know how, meant that anyone that wanted it previously had to buy it, in turn creating the demand. This demand has been growing ever since, even with the recent drop in price. I very much doubt that anyone involved at the beginning envisaged the growth that it has experienced, and genuinely thought/still think of it as a functional currency with which to buy and sell. It will find it's level eventually and settle down in currency exchanges like any other, but the volatility will have to be worked through first, and that could take years. Looking forward to a few years of growth and then spending it.

The function of bitcoin as payment has shifted as an investment. I don't think it's a problem, the important thing is that bitcoin can still provide benefits to its owners. Want to be called an asset or digital currency, I have no problem with that name.

Yes I think for the profesional trader , bitcoin is more profitable for short. But I personally prefer bitcoin for long term investment. Because I dont have alot of time.

Per a report published by The Chronicle, dated September 19, 2018, Duke Fuqua School of Business’ professor, Campbell Harvey, not only believes that the United States should create a national cryptocurrency, but concludes that paper-based currency’s demise is pretty much inevitable.
