This second question is specific to bitcoin and some altcoins that exist as cryptocurrencies.
Most ICOs, and many altcoins do no fit in this classification.
But the fact that a lot of coins are held in the hand of few, in addition to the fact that the hype is considered the recruiting factor. Is pushing a lot of respectable economists and politicians world-wide to declare bitcoin as a pyramid scheme or fraud.
What are your thoughts on this ?
-
not really, people know that is nothing other than a digital record, if they want to buy it, it's their fault
-
No. Bitcoin is a digital currency which you can use in an online transactions as payments, remittances, etc...but there are people or HYIP or ponzi sites that uses bitcoin to scam people. Pyramiding scheme, referral scheme is basically one of them, they invite people to sign up or invest in their sites in exchange of bitcoin.
-
Fraud??? Where’s that idea coming from? The truth is even those that are saying fraud are those who invest in it the most lol!
-

i cannot say that it is a fraud .. too bad that there are lot of scammers using bitcoins .
-
it is not fraud because there is no one behind it. It's driven by adopters.
-
those who dictate Bitcoin are SCAMs and Pyramids are just people who know about Bitcoin from outside.
if they are taught about how Bitcoin works, like Blockchain, TX id, buy and sell they will understand what the function of Bitcoin is in the future.
