So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
-
Almost all crypto investors are like you know, myself lost around 3x of my portfolio but i keep hodling and waiting patiently for the right time. You should do the same i think.

I have the same case with you so my dear friend and I prefer to hold it until the market price will rise before selling it.
-
Everyone is down on USD right now and most people are down on BTC, it will fix but it may be more purging first, the market is really in a standstill where everything sort of revolves around bitcoin getting that ETF which will push this industry north of 1 trillion dollars or we get rejected and continue to consolidate in a bear market for many more months. People feel safer in bitcoin as compared to alts so even if the market cap is staying remotely similar, it's not really improving if you're mainly holding alts.. Patience is the only thing that can help at this time.. except buying more to cost average.

Go for arbitrage buddy. Its quite simple and easy way to make profit without any risks. So in few months you will be able to make your money back

Unfortunately, many investors are in the same position as you, there are even some people who have lost 80 percent or 90 percent. In this sense, patience is very important, the market will certainly see an upward trend in the future.

I think you should hold a bit longer, this bear market is almost over and if ETF gets approved for bitcoin in september the price for bitcoin will likely never be this low again. Try to hang in there, I know it's scary that everything is so low right now, but the only way you can lose is by selling now. Otherwise you're just in a holding pattern. Aside from XRP, I worry about the longevity of that coin so you may want to switch that to something else.

yes I agree with you, now the price of bitcoin continues to fall, I as an Altcoin trader is very much a loss for now. for me now I will only sell a portion of my capital, and wait for a very low price

I also Agree with you Friend that the Bear now is going Weak and the Bull is waiting so attack soon. maybe this Month or next Month, Wait for the Confirmation of Candlestick in Monthly Range.

it is very sad when you lose money! I have lost a part too, but I don't panic now, I believe that it will change and there will come good times when the market pleases us in green color. I believing that the cryptocurrency is the future
-
Everyone hang in there and support each other, hopefully this is the last real large flush out... hopefully, brighter days to come.. I feel like if people haven't capitulated so far, they likely won't at any price.
-
if you have chosen the token you mean that you are ready to bear the risk because the token that you choose is not for the near future.
-
I'm sorry to hear about that. Many investors are facing the same problem. Don't be frustrated please, because it won't solve the problem, but make worse the situation.
Ok then, stop invest on cryptocurrency. And participate on airdrops and bounties to recover your assets. Hold some coins that have good potential.
I am sorry, I am not giving any advice at this moment

You need to invest the funds that you are not afraid to lose.In a short time you will earn, but in the long term you will lose everything. You need to consider risk management and money management.

You should just hodl. In the long run those cryptocurrency will still have value. Blockchain technology surely has its price.
If you want to earn to recover those losses, you can sell them when the prices are high then buy at low. Of course, this easier said than done.

If you have more funds OP then better invest more to it so that you can average down but then if you are now doubtful, you can just choose to sell your coins which I think too late now or wait for the time when you will have profits. If you have the time then do some trading and earn those small profits because it would be accumulated and maybe you would be able to catch up and turn your losses into profits.
-
You need to be able to trade in a falling market. Now the volatility has become lower than before. You can try to trade within a day if skills allow.
-
If you lost too much, just hold it. But if you really2 need money, you can sell it

You cannot do anything about that now, just learn from it. If I were in your position, I would wait for a better position before selling. There maybe some good movements for alts this next 3 mos.
-
For beginners, a good moment to enter is a major drop. If you bought in a growing market and still have not sold - I advise you to wait for the growth of the market.
-
Not only you, me and almost everyone here also experienced the same thing. We have lost a lot but what we can do now is just waiting. Bull run is happening, so get excited from now on. Because victory will soon be obtained.

On account of the fact that the market is about to recover - I've been reading for half a year...if you look at the statistics of the past, you can see that the cycles of prolonged falls were already earlier and as a rule, new highs were updated after that. Want to believe that after events that we are seeing now - will follow such same a powerful growth.
-
Hopefully it is true that the current decline will be like what happened in the past after the decline there will be a more rapid increase
-
the current market situation can't make you profitable, you can hold the coins you have, it's hard to predict the current coin price, trading volume weakens this month, wait for the right time and sell some of your coins. Don't sell your coins at very low price
-
Up till the moment I lost 2/3 account balance. I have determined to lose all the money invested in crypto since early 2018.
trade is not my forte. So sad :(
-
mostly trader have big loss due the bad market condition now, you have two option, sell it immediately or hold it until the price back at ico stage.
-
You have two option for now which is you can still hold your crypto amount and wait for the price to increase back and cut loss your crypto amount which I don't recommend. Many people still hold their crypto coin and not just you that feels this loss, and we still hope that this year, we can be back to make a profit. So if you still want to make a profit, you need to hold tight your coins no matter it's difficult because once it increases, you can make a bigger profit.
-
Relax because what you experience is also experienced by many people. So in my opinion, patience and calm are the keys to trading in crypto. Keep hold of your coins because the bull run moment is starting.

If you have experience in trading, and especially in daily trading, then I would not advise you, because it would be wrong to go to the minus. your money is definitely not coming back, but you can for example cover your loss documentis now. Prices are now extremely low compared to December or January. So do not sell, buy more and wait!
-
It is best to forget about cryptocurrency for a while.Do not read the news and do not look at the chart. So you will save your nerves.
-
You should hold for now and wait for the bullish market to come, in the meantime keep yourself busy by doing bounties.
-
@cryptoperry, I also agree with you. It's better to occupy yourself by following a bounty or airdrop. That way, we will no longer be focused on our losses when holding coins in this bear market.
