JPMorgan’s CEO Termed Cryptocurrency a Scam and Calls on Government to Shut it Down
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon reiterated his bullish stance on Blockchain technology and returned to his more critical comments about Bitcoin, calling the cryptocurrency a “scam” and saying he had “no interest” in it.

According to Dimon, Since governments are unable to control these cryptocurrencies, they should be shut down by them.

His words were soon repeated in both the mainstream press and online by prominent economic sources who know him for his critical stance on Bitcoin.

While Dimon has continued to be against cryptocurrency, Bitcoin’s official position with JPMorgan seems to differ.

In previous statements, however, the investment banking chief was far more verbose, at various times castigating bitcoin as a “fraud” and lambasting its supporters as “stupid” for investing in an asset that is “worth nothing.” He had then said that he would fire any employee he founds trading bitcoin for being ‘stupid.’
