KuCoin clarified the location of their headquarters and other major offices after being accused of having an empty office in Hong Kong.
In a medium post, Kucoin responded to Jackson Wong medium post which accuses the company of having an empty office with no employees in the Kiu Fu Commercial Building in Hong Kong.
Jackson Wong recently paid a visit to KuCoin’s registered address in Hong Kong, only to find out that it doesn’t actually exist.
Jackson Wong Hong Kong-based crypto analyst and investor posted on his Medium account showing that the office address the exchange refers to doesn’t have “a real presence.”
In the report, titled “WARNING: KuCoin’s Hong Kong office is empty. Be extremely cautious about depositing money into this exchange,” the reporter expressed his concerns that popular crypto exchange KuCoin could be pulling an exit scam as their Hong Kong offices are empty.
According to Jackson, he has always been suspicious of KuCoin since he’s never heard anything about the exchange within the Hong Kong community and never seen any news report or promotions about it as well.
He also voiced concerns that KuCoin had no registered license to trade cryptocurrency in Hong Kong and that none of the KuCoin team had Hong Kong names or listed a Hong Kong residential address.
However, KuCoin’s official Twitter account shows something unnatural. It shows a warning message “Caution: This account is temporarily restricted”, which was questioned by some people on the social platform.
