Title: It is hard to detect scammed bounty campaign...
Post by: chayskie04 on August 20, 2018, 03:19:27 PM
It is really hard to detect scammed bounty campaign. After completing all the requirements to be able to get accepted in a bounty campaign, spending much time to participate in forums and not to mention carrying their banners, completing all the tasks and reports then all of a sudden you will just find out that you have been scammed already. Luckily I am not the only one but to think all participants did the same efforts as well as you did. But it is really happening, lesson learned and could be just charge it to experience and move on. If we could only find out at early stage if we were in to scam or a legit bounty campaign. Anyways who would really know?

It is very easy to distinguish scammers. They always promise you only good things and you will not be in the red. And you have to be a realist and then there will be no such cases

I got scammed by 90% of bounty campaigns.
It is not about that campaigns are going nowhere.
It is all the issues regarding distribution, listing, and price dumping and etc.

Well in this cryptoworld most people want to earn money thats why theres a lot of ico project turning to scam.
To choose a good bounty campaign make sure that the campaign manager have a lot of experience to manage the project dont join bounty that manage by newbie member, and take a lot of time researching the project background and also team profile.

This is not 100% secure for there are scammer use not the lower rank instead they use higher rank in order to attract more bounty hunters to join. Seeing the rank can give us feel comfortable and secure but it is not the answer. Better to follow the project whitepaper, sites, group, telegram, roadmap, and most importantly is the product. I am not saying it is sure but it can help to minimize yourself to fall under scam.

We recommend that you investigate and scrutinize the Bounty Campaign offers offered to you first. Here you must always pay attention and always be sensitive to mistakes and suspicion of the bounty campaign that you do. Maybe in this forum you can still explain in full how?

One of best rules I learned is that if spreadsheet is not updated you have to ask to bounty manager, if he does not respond and fix it's a bad signal...

Nobody can know whether the ico project is scam or not but if we study it we can avoid scam projects. There are several ways to find out which projects are considered scams or failures.

Anyways who would really know?

No one knows, most specially if the ICO have great features, team, plans, and achievements to attract investors. It is difficult to notice if it will be done by professional scammers. I would like to say we must be careful and don't be careless.

This is true it is hard to detect scammed bounty campaign because mostly in ths whitepaper are good people with connected into website program but the most thing to do is to justify the campaign so that the members efforts will not be goes to useless and I think we need to cooperate the higher management in the groups to stopped the scammers.

You can research on whitepapers, sites, groups, telegrams, roadmaps, before participating in a project. I am not saying that for sure but can help to minimize myself to fall under fraud. And waste time wasted.

Ya it is very hard to be free from scams in crypto the only way is to reduce by doing what you should be doing to minimize being scam as crypto can be changing and changing and more and more ICO is flowing into the market now and then scam is a definite thing.

Maybe not all of the mean to be a scam, maybe they just don't reach their soft cap target.  But it is suck anyway doing a long bounty without earn anything.

Yes your are right, because after you join those scammed bounties then you realize on last minuet that they are faked. The first time i can do is to research those bounties if legit or not. And maybe ask those trusted friends about bounties where you can join. There are many ways to check the bounties were legit.

It is quite difficult to detect a bounty scam campaign. Then we have to be selective. The fraudsters are getting smarter to hide his cunning. The safest way is to choose a trusted bounty manager and manage many successful projects. But that's not a guarantee. We must also be careful in analyzing the projects that run, monitor the website and the truth of his team.

Only experience can avoid the scam or failed ico project. I always get a scam project and fail, but I use this as my experience in choosing a bounty program or the ico project.

It may seems hard and all that. But it can be easily detected by firstly looking on designs of website , if there is developers and whole team behind them. There is also community/social media. Sale phases are not so necessary indicator and there is also crucial roadmaps and maybe some presentations with whitepapper. That would be it.

You're right, it's really hard to say an ico project scam. Because first of all their development and other events in a Project is very good. You only know when it suddenly does not exist and the end. You think that legit but a is a scam. The capital is running. so you are careful to check on an ico.

Yes, I agree. It is indeed really hard to notice if the ICO is a scam or not. However, there are ways to at least minimize the risk of getting involved into scam ICO's like doing some background check of that particular ICO. Part of the checking is to check the ratings, the team member, the whitepaper and lastly the bounty manager handling the task should not be in red trust rating.

It's hard to find out that a certain bounty campaign is a scam. Even the most popular bounty campaign that seems very legit but later on you'll find out that it's a scam. I experienced that once. I was in that campaign for almost 2 months then suddenly I found out that they are no longer active and devs cannot be contacted anymore. That's how it is. We just let it pass and move on.

It happens. You get unlucky sometimes. It is important to note though that a scam campaign is different from failed campaigns. Some are legit but failed to raise the soft cap which eventually leads to bounty hunters not getting paid.

Basically scammed practices can be found when scammers promise big money. They cheating mostly this way.

Maybe at first they are not really scammers, it just turned out that the ico projects and all did not succeed. I was also a victim of scam icos, twice actually. We can never know if it is a scam or not because we just learn about it right after the bounty has ended. It is just too sad because we wasted our time and effort doing all the stuffs needed to complete the requirements needed to get some stakes. But even if it happened to us, I think it is also a lesson learned. We must be careful in choosing which ico or bounty to join, we should not be blinded by the promises that are too good to be true. So some research and always check the whitepaper and the roadmap of the project.

Yes you are right, it's very difficult to distinguish a projecy that is scam or not. As with cryptocurrency price predictions, if we do not do a fundamental analysis before join a partisipating, then most of us wil find a project scam. I think, we should not only see how much the bounty fund allocation, but rather to the development and potential of the project.

For me, I choose bounty campaigns the same way I would choose ICO's. Do a little reading first. After that, determine if it has a real use case, if it has a good #DevelopmentTeam .

Obviously not! Just need some attention and time to read some important things in bounty. First of all ICO- check that project ICO os avaliable on all ICO websites or not. Next one is Website- if website is proffessional designed with all information then it is good. Next need to check is whitepaper, roadmap and in last bounty details. If everything is ok, then you're doing a good bounty which will definitely paid.

Its kind of hard because you don't know the main hidden agenda of the bounty manager, especially if the bounty manager is not of the team.

Those who are managing bounties for some time and definitely already has a track record of paying on time then I would for that manager because most likely they would review the ICO first before accepting the project since it will also tarnish their reputation when they accept a project that most likely will be a scam.

Indeed, in fact it is very difficult to recognize an ICO Project that is Scam and that really isn't a Scam. But you can research it before you invest in an ICO project or join the Bounty Campaign. You can check the Website, Project team, Target marketing and others. Possibly from there you can decide whether the project is Scam or not.

Knowing the good and legit bounty campaign is very difficult, even we read the white paper but still scammer is very smart, i don't know, only the bounty manager sometimes is the one who know deeply the campaign.
