I don't think why they don't care about their private keys. Some of them forgot to save their private keys and some others give their keys to others. Usually new comers fallen in this mistake. So I suggest all to read carefully the warning from their services provider.

The private key is the access key of an account such as a pin in a bank account, so we must be careful in storing it and not to be spread to others because of our mistakes. Make sure when accessing using security such as wallet hardware on Ledger, Trezor, Digital Bitbox or Secalot. You can also use the metamask extension.

No people know it exactly because bitcoin private key is private, so other people cannot acces it. If lost private key or forgot pasword,  you lost your asset, keep your private key well

I think we don't have any statistics here. But I come across to someone who lost 2BTC because he forgot his password. Maybe a not-so-often case.

It's really hard to account the numbers of people who lost their private key because some people did not report to management team if they accidentally lost their keys.

I can't answer your question. That's why data that cannot be counted by users like us. That is a question of privacy from users. If I guessed that there were certainly not a few people who lost their Bitcoin, chances are they were hacked or something. what is clear is that I cannot answer your question in fact.

It seems like not many people have lost their Bitcoin. It's likely they lost Bitcoin because they were tricked, or the Wallet they used was hacked, or maybe their Bitcoin was forfeited in trading and losing money. The possibility of such events will occur.
