Many community members have been claiming lately that altcoins are going to die or at least that 90% of altcoins are doomed. I tend to agree with them that there are many coins and tokens that are pointless and won't survive. Another cathegory are alts with solid foundations but won't manage to fight with their competitors as naturally there are numerous projects with same visions. But if you trust the project you invested in, there is no reason to change your mind just because someone says many altcoins won't succeed. Do your research and trust only your own judgement, because many ALTCOINS ARE HERE TO STAY!

Those who are saying altcoins won't survive are people who did not invested and don't have enough idea about crypto currency market. They don't how altcoins help too many people world wide through earning big profit .

The main factor is that many dead coins and can not survive on the exchange is competition and the number of crypto enthusiasts has decreased. only a few coins are still believed to be the best and dominant investment in bitcoin.

Actually, there are dump projects in recent time, and it very clear that a dump projects could be considered doomed, even with that 90% aggregate analysis by these people you refered to, might be right on track as per these doomed coins.
However, based on your post tittle, altcoins are part of cryptocurrency, and not just Bitcoin. In a nutshell, altcoins definitely must survive, though not all, but many has actually come to stay.

Yes there are too many tokens and coins that are dead and left by investors and developers. I only see a few potential coins. maybe only 5 to 10 good coins.

The sad part of altcoins not all of them will stay. There are altcoins will survive but some will not. In crypto there are so much challenges to face during stages of the project. Very difficult to survive because the fittest can survive and those who aren't will not stays any longer.

I know that news, they said "altcoins are going to die", not only that they also said "crypto world will be over in near time future". However, I never believe in that news. I do believe altcoins or crypto world will continue their existence and be unstoppable to be more and more develop. Altcoins or crypto has been a part of our life, It cannot be separated since many people rely on them. Don't worry mate!

I agree that the majority of altcoins will be non-existent in 10 years time, probably less, but it doesn't mean you can't make some money in the meantime. Selecting the right altcoins now gives you an advantage, but need to stay alert to new innovations to ensure that your investments are still the right ones. The number one company in a designated field now is no guarantee that it will still be number one in the future. More often than not, the first to market is not the eventual winner. All that said, altcoins in general are here to stay, but the market will get increasingly competitive, and most of the current generation will invariably not make the cut.

I think altcoins will survive. Altcoins havw potential to do that. I believe it. Altcoins will exist for along time.

I think even with that 90% aggregate analysis by these people you refered to, might be right on track as per these doomed coins.
However, based on your post tittle, altcoins are part of cryptocurrency, and not just Bitcoin. In a nutshell, altcoins definitely must survive, though not all, but many has actually come to stay.

I think its possible that a few won't survive especially early funded projects who may have long exausted their funds and can't make ends meat by selling in this down market, but I don't think it will be very severe... it'll certainly kill a lot of the vaporware and scam projects though, especially the longer it goes... so for that we should be thankful! :)

It is impossible for Altcoin to die as fast as they say. It's the opposite now. Altcoin is in great demand by many people as an alternative to other coins. Altcoin has very good and very potential coins for us to invest, like Ethereum, EOS and Litecoin. That is the coins that are the icon of Altcoin today.

We have different overview of altcoin, but please remember because of altcoin the cryptocurrencies survive. We dont know what kind of people those destroying the image of alts in crypto mybe they have some bad experience that they want to make others hate it too. For own judging altcoin will stay until crypto is alive. I dont listen to those crypto haters because they do anything to destroy crypto world.

Thats true mate infact altcoin now in crypto market is one of the most popular in cryptocurrency.I don't believe that altcoin won't survive in crypto market.

There are still a lot of investors will do their research before they invest into any project even projects with similar concept if they are not able to follow their roadmap path sooner or later they will die off but the right one will be able in survive in the end.

I disagree if someone says Altcoin will not survive. We reveal in fact only, Altcoin is an alternative to bitcoin which means many users from there move using Altcoin. And that is proven by the number of good and potential coins in Altcoin, one of which is Ethereum. Ethereum is the best coin currently owned by Altcoin. That is the sign of a lot of interested people to jump into Altcoin.

There are few people predicting altcoins negatively and saying it will not survive if the market continue to fluctuate but for me i strongly believe that altcoins can surpass all challenges and becomes more profitable in coming years.

Well, most of the alt coins I bought are not valued at less than 1 Satoshi, so far that seems pretty accurate.
Although from my observation is seems like people just sort of dump the old coins and go for the new ones.

I think this is due to the impact of falling markets and making altcoins fall at low values. And I still believe that if the market stabilizes, the price of the altcoin will also increase, and it's only a matter of time.

Altcoins were definitely a good idea, they offer a lot of diversity to the market which helps it grow even more, however, in my opinion, the amount of projects coming out everyday is too much, I think most of the projects are not that innovative and the ones that really are end up drowned by the huge amount of options out there.

Guys, it's usual outcomes of smth hyped. Dotcomes hype brought us the giants like Amazon and e-Bay. The fashion of unusual cafes (on my retarded piece of the Earth) made great number of enterprenuers to close their businesses. But I guess it will be not soon and crypto, whatever it could be, has different directions early unknown for masses.

In my opinion, i think the survive of an Altcoin depend solely on the dev team behind the Altcoin project. And secondly, also on the enthusiasm with wish investors come on board to support the project. What people say actually has little or no effect on the survive of an Altcoin.

In my opinion, not all Altcoins. Because it is impossible to carry out crypto-market without Altcoin. But not all Altcoins will survive in the market. Because all Altcoin targets are not the same. Only Altcoins will survive that have a good vision.

Those scam coins would eventually be worthless and they are just existing for now because they are used by the pump and dump groups to profit from its members. Out of the thousands of coins out there, the majority of them have still no project or still on-going development and still has a possibility of not being implemented so it still has a chance of being worthless. Even those projects that have a project are having a hard time so we have yet to see those projects that are valuable and has demand.

I certainly do not agree that altcoins will not survive in the future. However, I think for some altcoins that are just here to scam are those altcoins that really do not last for sure. Some of those just happen to scam people by letting them invest and later they just left untraceable which is really bad for the crypto community. I just hope that the new ICO's will undergo proper screening before they will be allowed to operate.

No at all. Some Altcoins have more good feature than BTC itself like speed of processing transaction, Smart Contract, Privacy matters, Feeless transaction and other good feature which BTC doesn't have.
Example : ETH and NEO with their smart contract feature
Monero, Zencash with it's privacy feature
Ripple, XLM can process a lot of transaction more than BTC
But remember this before invest in altcoins, we must do our research a lot cause now a lot of altcoins only copy the other coins feature and look more scamming.

Yes, I have experienced this when I was hesitant to buy and it turned out that the coin experienced an increase. It felt like I regretted not buying it, but it became a lesson for me to be a better trader in the future.

I strongly agree with you that some altcoins won't survive on the market. But if people generalize it that altcoins won't survive then they don't really know what they are talking about. The survival of altcoins does not depend on what people are saying, It depends on it blockchain technology, the idea the new team members of an ICO is bringing and how viable it is.

I agree when people say that about 90% of all altcoins are doomed.
But I don't agree when people say that the whole market of altcoins gonna die.
It's exactly as dotcoms failed in 2000s. About 90% of companies just went bankcruptcy, most of the rest lose about 90-99% of market cap. Even Amazon.

Altcoins will survive and if it won't it's based on two things. Either btc dies or ETH dies. If ETH and Btc dies I think that will be the end of all altcoins.

They just tried to spread out the fear. So, people are afraid to hold their coins and sell them with very low prices. Whatever happens on the market and even there's circulating negative speculation about altcoins I still support and believe on Altcoins most especially in Ethereum although the market is too weak by this time but this is not the basis to quit investing on altcoins because fluctuation is one of crypto currencies characteristic so we should not afraid if it happens to the coins we invested.

I think, for us the market price is now also increasing, so I believe that Altcoin also has good growth in the future, because seeing prices now also increase.

It's too early to speculate such scenario. Though bitcoin market is now at downtrend, but I don't think all alts will not survive because bitcoin's value will not go below that price margin. All alts are dependent on bitcoin's price movement and if bitcoin could survived
this year, surely all other crypto will survive also. Hopefully, a price recovery will be initiated next month.

This is so true for some but not all. There are some projects that have not only entered the market for the purpose of making money, but with a really solid infrastructure and strong vision for the future. So it would be a false prediction that all altcoins will die.

Those people who say Altcoin won't survive are people who are pessimistic about falling crypto prices, especially Altcoin. For me it's normal in the Crypto world. I hope only a few people here are pessimistic and desperate to join Altcoin. I am sure Altcoin will be back to normal in the near future. We hope.

Maybe I have been misunderstood - I'm not saying that all altcoins will die, only those that were written as above were created for earnings. Some altcoins have a future, and I hope that the best ones will eventually become entirely independent of the price of Bitcoin. Like Futurocoin - a new project, but with great plans and already has the features that prevail over BTC :)

it's understandable that those projects that have global fame (nem, neo ...) will not disappear anywhere. Yes, their tokens lose in value, but this does not mean that the projects stopped working and developing. In any case, we will come to a breakeven point and you will be able to return your positions to Fiat if you want

I agree that many altcoins will not survive. I mean if we are pushing for mass adoption, what we need are quality altcoins and not just some copy cats (which I'm sure there are many) whose only aim is to become faster versions.
