Dash was lunched to complements Bitcoin short comings and Dash developers baked their new blockchain to be the world’s first self-funding and self-governed blockchain protocol, with instant payments running on a network of incentivized Masternodes. What are some of the key ingredients Dash introduced that Bitcoin doesn’t have? Your thoughts.

Whether you agree or not every altcoins have their differences from each other as it was created not the same as the other. So, there are advantages and a little bit disadvantage.

Well, it's because Dash is faster than Bitcoin. Dash developers defines it as a cryptocurrency analog for electronic cash. They wanted Dash to be as liquid and as fast as the online fiat money that is mostly used now.

I really do understand all the fuss about Dash, in my opinion is just another Altcoin but know how to differentiate their project better than others in the anonymous category. How many people have actually use Dash for transaction if no for trading and speculations

Dash is technologically better than BTC as it can handle 48 transactions per second VS Bitcoin at 7. It's cheaper and faster to transact. Plus it has masternodes to verify transactions. Dash also sets aside part of its block reward to fund various projects, development and marketing. So I think it'll be more useful as a day to day currency than bitcoin ever will be.

We dont need an alternative coin because bitcoin is not much enough widespread in the world. But if someday many of people use bitcoin then we can talk about an alternative.

Dash has the "Private Send" feature in its network. this feature can be used by its users to hide identity. I think this is a feature that BTC doesn't have. and that's one of the advantages of Dash . even though it hasn't proven that Dash is better than BTC, because BTC is the first Cryptocurrency so it takes Dash to defeat BTC.

I agree that in some instance maybe Dash is doing better than bitcoin like in terms on transactions but in terms in market stability i believe dash is very far behind compare to bitcoin and there are lots of people can prove on it.

I think  if  dash  wasn t better  than  bitcoin  it  would  have  no  reason  to  exist  for  as  long  as  it  did.But  dash has  persisted  up until  today  because  it has  objectively  better technology  than  Bitcoin.

It's not really hard to be better than Bitcoin on a technological level. Even Dogecoin is "better" than Bitcoin due to faster and cheaper transactions. Many would argue the community is much better there as well. Most importantly not nearly as toxic.

As far as I know and my experience that DASH is the fastest coin in the transaction.
It only takes under 2 seconds to send a DASH to the intended wallet.

We don't need to look far for the difference between DASH and Bitcoin.

We can see from the smallest thing, for example, from the total DASH supply which is only 18,900,000 Coin.
Bitcoin has a maximum supply of 21,000,000 COIN.

Bitcoin is the pioneer cryptocurrencies but it has some shortcomings that newer cryptocurrencies had worked on. Issues like transaction confirmation speed, scalability, and cost. Most new crypto coins have more speed, scalability and less or free transaction cost. The DASH blockchain protocol confirms transactions faster than Bitcoin and is more scalable.

I think low fees is the advantage of Dash over Bitcoin.

I guess I can say just hold your Dash coin because it is very possible to increase someday. Dash price now is $73.48 which is close to hit the $100 mark maybe in December.

There is  big difference between Dash and bitcoin both are good coin for investments but Bitcoin is always popular in the cryptomarket it has big community only the bitcoin price is controlling the other altcoins bitcoin is a world famous popular digital currency but Dash is a good privacy coin not popular like BTC .

Yes, I agree dash technology is better than bitcoin. But no coin as popular as bitcoin now. Bitcoin is most popular and high demand. Maybe dash can be popular as bitcoin, but it will take several years again. Maybe..

each coin has its advantages and disadvantages, dash excels in transaction speed not for btc, but in terms of price / selling value btc is no match for every altcoin, even though currently DEFi is btc's competitor in terms of exchange rates

Yes I agree, dash is very potential and faster transaction speed. But Not competitor for bitcoin. I agree  with your opinion, DeFi will be the best competitor to bitcoin replace Ethereum at the next several years again.

Sorry if I quote an old post but I'm interested in discussing Dash coins because they are included in the sub-forum list on this altcoinstalks, that means maybe Dash used to be very strong and was able to compete with other altcoins or even with Bitcoin. Although in fact now Dash has been widely forgotten and I also did not see Dash being very strong, I see it now where Dash has been Dumped.
OP also wrote about masternodes that provide benefits that Bitcoin does not have, sorry if I replied to the wrong topic because I don't really understand how to mine Bitcoin, masternodes or mining Dash coins. And in fact the advantages that Dash used to have are now far behind Bitcoin. Bitcoin remains the most important.

Dash is a anonymous coin for private transactions it has many advantages however this coin is not compare with bitcoin and Ethereum  bitcoin is a good competitor of the dollar and gold many government accepting bitcoin is a digital asset the world is opening all doors one by one for bitcoin.
