Post by: CryptoGirl on October 28, 2017, 01:13:23 PM
A 52-year-old Michigan is facing charges for exchanging bitcoins improperly in Bloomfield Township. Bradley Anthony Stetkiw allegedly sold over hundreds of thousands of dollars through the LocalBitcoins exchange. He was charged with operating an unlicensed money transmitting business when he allegedly sold around $55,000 worth of Bitcoin to undercover agents over the course of six meetings.

Authorities say Stetkiw bought, sold and brokered deals for hundreds of thousands of dollars in bitcoins while failing to comply with the money transmitting business registration requirements set forth in Title 31, United States Code, Section 5330.

Earlier this year, Detroit resident Sal Mansy plead guilty to the charge of operating an unlicensed money services business. He allegedly conducted $2.4 million-worth of transactions over a two-year period ending in July 2015.
