A while ago (2017) there was this Dutch family that sold all their assets for BTC and is now traveling around the world. He had around 500k USD worth of BTC and expects it will at least make 5x in the next 3 years. In the meanwhile, they are living modestly and using 20% of their cryptos to trade.
Would you dare to do the same? Sell all your FIAT for CRYPTO?
-
I would never do that.I believe that duck doing stupid and naive people who don't understand the subject, do not know the laws of Economics and Finance-but I want to get rich quick, and in no need. Cryptocurrency is largely roulette. And even if you are today in the black, does not mean that tomorrow you will not lose everything.

No, I invest in bitcoin with my free money. Because I also have emergency needs. Bitcoin is high volatile.
-
Sounding what they do is crazy for some people. I have to be honest, I have not dared to do crazy things like that. Risking all the money in crypto is risky, so I would prefer to have assets such as houses, gold or land.
-
I would not do the same thing as they did, because as we all know, cryptocurrency is a very risky investment, What if the cryptocurrency suddenly crashes, what will happen to you. That why I always stick to the sayings that, ONLY INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. I think this saying is a very reasonable and the most smart way to do with your money. Balance crypto and daily living.

There's no way you can sell your fiat as fiat it is used to buy btc not sell. Let me ask you a question can you buy btc for btc? Your answer will be no right? If I am in that situation I won't buy btc that much.
-
He didn't have a bad starting point to be fair. Sounds like they will do alright, and not really a big deal if they don't, just start all over again. At least they'll have the experience of traveling, I know people that have lost money investing and not gained any external experiences.

That was a gutsy move. Well, I guess they got it right and rode their way to fortune.
In this current market, I would not dare do that.

You can not invest all your cash in the Crypto currency. Investing in crypto currency is a big risk. This Dutch family can win, and can eventually lose. Nobody knows what will happen to the bitcoin price in a few years. Even Satoshi Nakamoto said that in twenty years there will be or a lot of transactions in bitcoin, or there will be no transactions.

I agree mate. We can not invest all your cash in the Crypto currency. Investing in crypto currency is a big risk. Crypto is high volatile.
-
I am not that close because I know that the risk of crypto currencies is large. I prefer to invest with the money I got from the bounty program.
-
I think that this was a very irresponsable decision.... crypto are too volatile and potentially bitcoin can go to 1$ or 100000 in just a year... I will never do a thing like that.

Agree we should consider also the safety of some of our finances and ensure invested in the right crypto which is profitable because this might be risking our money if we wrongly manage our investment and decision in choosing.
-
I think he is a lucky person. He buys bitcoin at a good time and can determine when the price of bitcoin will increase and decrease. I would not dare to use my money to buy crypto.
-
Oh, it is madness. But if you are from venezuela maybe it's not bad decision. By the way the diversification is good instrument and i recommend to use it.
-
selling all assets in the real world to crypto, that is a bold decision to take. But doing that, not only because of fate, I'm sure they dare to do that because they hear from friends trading that btc will rise high, finally they sell their assets.
if I have assets, I will sell them too, but not all, only a few are valuable but useless.
-
I think I will not going to sell all because in case that we will have a blood bath for a long time we need to survive for everyday need also, I think I will just going to sell 80% of it to crypto then the 20% will be the secured money for emergency in case the crypto is still on dip.
-
A naughty decision, but at that time 2017 bitcoin price touch around $260, if he bought in that price until now he is reaping his profit.
-
In 2017 or previously, it might be very worthy. But, considering the market today I don't think that it is a good idea to sell all our fiat to move to the crypto. The crypto market right now is very fluctuating. The market is super down. I think that we must diversify the amount for crypto and amount keep on fiat wisely.
-
Honestly it is a very brave and full of high risks. But I am sure, they understand very well and really really understand the Crypto world so they do things like this. Juju alone, I personally don't dare to do it. Because it's too dangerous for me and my future.

That's what I love about crypto currencies the most, how unpredictable they are. Bitcoin can trade steady at $50,000, or $500 a few years from now, there is no way to tell. I think most governments will eventually consider wide integration of crypto currencies, which can produce lots of spikes in the price.

Do not do this. The one thing that you need right now more than anything is fiat because no matter how much we would like it to be that the cryptos are what we use for all of our purchase, that is not the case.what you should do is invest the fiat which you can afford to do without into the coins and hold those coins while keeping fiat that you will use in your everyday purchase.

Selling off everything you have at the moment to invest is a very risky thing to do, this is more like gambling and not trading. If you really want to gamble and you can know the result in a few moment just go to the casino and place your bet.
-
I do not dare spend money to buy Crypto all. Even if buying only using maximum of the existing bidding of the funds. Because there is still another need to be met.
-
I will never sell all fiat for crypto. Don't think you can be successful with the same way. We have been in different time and condition. Everything has changed, so it won't be applied anymore. If you invest with all your fiat in crypto right now, I am afraid you only get nothing. The dutch family has a luck factor, generally it only happens once.
-
It is never a good idea putting all your money in one basket but diversify will be the best as he suppose to use some percentage to buy crypto and leave some in his account in case of any unforseen circumstance which will be a fall back thing but still crypto is a good business that will definitely be boom in future but still have to trade with caution.
-
Having such a sum of Fiat, I am more than confident that they have a source for life and it was not the money
-
i would no longer do the equal aspect as they did, due to the fact as we all understand, cryptocurrency is a very unstable investment, What if the cryptocurrency crashes, what is going to manifest to you. That why I usually persist with the sayings that, most effective make investments WHAT you can afford TO LOSE. I assume this saying is a completely affordable and the most smart manner to do together with your cash. balance crypto and every day dwelling.
