Hello there  please watch this youtube video. it explains blockchain and cryptocurrencies in a simple way:
.
cryptocurrency is digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank. for example we have ethereum, monero, bitcoin etc. all these are cryptocurrencies.
Blockchain  is a digital ledger which allows transactions of BTC and cryptocurrencies publicly, although anonymously. an example of blockchain is ethereum blockchain.
