Professional networking website LinkedIn just released its list of the top 50 startups in 2018. The top 50 list, ranks companies based on the billions of actions taken by more than 575 million LinkedIn users.
This year’s top startups list from LinkedIn has in total 5 names from the crypto space. Ripple ranks 7th on this list comprising 50 startups.
Coinbase (#3) and Ripple (#7) were seen as two of the top ten best startups in the United States, while Canadian crypto exchange Coinsquare (#2) was seen as the second best startup in Canada. Gemini Trust Company, meanwhile, was ranked in the 25th spot on the list of the best startups of 2018.
The list explains:
“Finance, modernized: Sending money between banks, across borders, remains stubbornly antiquated. Ripple uses blockchain technology to transform what had been a multi-day process into one completed in seconds. The 6-year-old startup now has more than 100 customers, including massive banks such as Santander and Standard Chartered; it added two new customers a week last quarter.”
