The increasingly high positive correlation between Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is bringing their prices down, now that the tide has turned against Bitcoin since the spectacular rally towards the $20,000 area in mid-December 2017, with a market capitalization of $111 billion, the BTC continues to recoup the cryptocurrency market dominance it once had.

Yeah, Every time their mother bitcoin start to move downwards they follow it. If it will continue let's expect more dump on the altcoins too. But sooner or later it will recover soon let's just keep holding.
-
Bitcoin is dragging the whole altcoin market down because all these other coins base their value off of Bitcoin. I'm not sure why anyone in cryptocurrencies right now would not know that any other cryptocurrency bases their value off of the value of BTC which means BTC is king. It is sound money and it will always be that way because of the people and effort being put into the network.

Bitcoin has a tremendous influence on altcoins. If the BTC price rises suddenly, this is usually because money flows into the bitcoin market. That way the price of the altcoin has decreased.

Yes It is true. Bitcoin is dragging the altcoins down, because bitcoin is the King of crypro, The value of bitcoin will affect the price of all altcoins.

A big influence is on bitcoin. bitcoin affects the rise and fall of altcoin prices. I can see the state of the altcoin if bitcoin has decreased.
-
Can we see the ending of this dominance! Would altcoin will gain independent from bitcoin dominance in the future? I've read some news that contributes to the dominance of bitcoin is because of the new investors coming into the cryptocurrency, they are using bitcoin as a GATEWAY to crypto world. Gathering their money all is just enough to move the price of bitcoin.
-
I was also surprised to see the price of bitcoin dropping and other altcoin prices also coming down. I also don't know why every price dropped from Bitcoin, other altcoin prices also dropped. Could it be that Altcoin is based on the price of Bitcoin!
-
We can't blame bitcoin about this problem because it is the original cryptocurrency, and altcoin as being a new crypto that emanates its features and usability from bitcoin will also follow the market situation when bitcoin value goes down. Though they have different names but both bitcoin and altcoins are crypto.
-
If that continues to happen, let's hope for more dumps on the altcoin. But sooner or later it will recover soon, let's continue to survive.
Every time bitcoin starts moving down, they follow it. Like someone told.
-
I think that all coins follow Bitcoin rate as it is the basis of a crypto market. No other crypto is so stable and valuable like Bitcoin is. I think it will change one day, but for now it works like that.
