Title: Post Count
Post by: Ragnar on September 11, 2018, 07:59:04 PM
Hi I'm ragnar, why does my post won't increase even though I posted already? Is there a limit on how many post points you can do in a day or a week?

As far as I know, there is no limit on how many posts can be made every day. What you experience is often experienced by members here. Usually, your posts are not counted because they are not in accordance with the rules in the forum. Try reading the rules to make a post first so you don't make a useless post.

Don't post just a single line because it won't be counted. You can be called as spammer. In some section such as GENERAL DISCUSSION your post will not be counted in your activity but you will be given points.

Post in General Section don't count. Also less than 72 letters  post won't be counted too. So check this two. As far as i know there are no post limit at altcointalk.

The post has minimum text count and if we did not reached the limit our post will become useless as this will not consider.

The forum doesn't count posts that you write in general section.
For the limit question: No, there isn't a limit in a day or a week.

We recommend that you do not post just one line here. Because it will not be calculated by the operator of this Forum. It could be that what you did at that time could be called a spammer. That's the biggest possibility you don't get points and increase your rankings in the forum quickly.

As far as I know, no limit for the total post. But if your post doesn't increase, it seems you post too short. I suggest to make a post at least 100 characters.

Some forums don't count towards your post count.  You also have to make posts long enough to where they aren't just one line responses like 'haha yeah' or some other nonsense.  Just post here and try to make the forums a place you want to spend time and your post count will come.  It's not difficult, just don't spam and don't post junk and you'll be good in no time.  All these things take time to build up, there's no rush!  <3

The biggest possibility Your post gets negative karma because it contains things that are negative and harm others. It is also possible that your post is too short or can be called Spam, so that it is not included in the category of quality posts.

Possible posting of your Spam and your post is too Short. So according to the operator it will not affect the increase in points and rating increase that you will experience in the forum. It's a guarantee for you if you post spam or too short posts.

Hello everyone. I read all the post response to this thread and likely there are some difference of the rules here on altcointalks forum and bitcointalk forums. Will wrap it up for everyone's info.

1. Post counts are not counted if you post or reply post on general discussion. ( Cool this is something must be adopted by forum if they want to limit spammers.)

2. Posts like nice one, goodluck, or nonsense will produce a negative karma rather than increasing post count. Fair rule actually.
(Purpose of a forum is have a good and healthy discussion)

3. No limits of posting. ( For me, this one should be discussed by admin and forum operator here. In my opinion, there should be a limit and depends on the rank of the member. This will ensure that newbies will not likely spam on different sections. But Karma point is more relevant than merit on bitcointalkforum.)

4. The sections here are quite different and cool as compared to bitcointalk. Anyway that's what I learned from the response here.

I'm not sure if threads can be locked here as well. But still have to familiarize myself from its features. So gonna go. Thanks Learn so much here.

Actually, for the limitations of posting it doesn't exist, you can be up to and as best as you can in making posts in this forum. But the possibility when you do not get points and not get a ranking increase may be because your posts are Spam and not qualified or negative. So it will be difficult for you to get points and increase rankings.

Thanks for the heads up. By the way is there a way a spam post will be known as spam here? Like admin and moderator deleted the posts or reply posts made by the members? Actually it will be good if something like that but as the members of the community here keeps on growing, it will be hard later on to monitor this.

Can I ask if the posts considered spam are deleted here? Also what could be the range of posts qualified in order to rank up or it is based on posts amount and points achieved? If only one can you shared with me the actual range. Thanks, I saw in the rank up forum  post a rank like babystep cool way to be called next to newbie 😁

Maybe your post was deleted by the admin because it contains negative things bro. And if it is deleted, it will automatically not get points and promotion of ranking increase. On the other hand you are too short to make a post so that it looks Spam and it will prevent you from increasing your rank later.

Maybe your post is not qualified and not useful for others. It could be that your post is not appropriate or deviated from the topic being discussed in the forum. That is likely to be large and you can just post Spam.

Hi I'm ragnar, why does my post won't increase even though I posted already? Is there a limit on how many post points you can do in a day or a week?

I think points is not the reason and it matters to the number uf text created for you to understand you may try to post a short sentence if still the system count your post or not.

Hello there, clarification based on my understanding about this. first, this forum have bots to detect a post that can generate a post count. That is good right? Agree, however, what I don't like is that post can be a spam even it is very long. Agree? Even a short post isnt that long but the response on the poster is good I dont considered it as dpam actually especially if the reply was direct to the point. Now if that comment post doesnt generate post count. What's wrong about that, you're here in the forum for discussion not post count generator. Thanks hope everyone here get my drift.

There are no limit for your post but that dose not mean you have in other just to increase your post the admins will delete your post or too many post can lead to the account ban just be careful.

Maybe the posts that you make are negative or maybe the posts you have made for the quality are not good. Or maybe your post is Spam. These events and mistakes can be the cause of your ranking, you can't go up and don't get good points.

Easy option : try to make longer post. May be you can make 3 or 4 sentences or lines. Don't make a single line post, with a short sentences.
Also posting on general section doesn't be counted.
Could you provide a link to the general sections so that I will not make mistakes in the future?

The General Discussion Board (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=1.0) is not something you should avoid. You can still read and talk about non-crypto stuff. Incase you missed it, new rules have been implemented. Check it HERE (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=96515)

There is no posting limits for a day here in this forum, but there is penalty(ies) for excessive posting.  Don't just aim at increasing post counts, help in reducing the spam in the forum, render helpful posts to members of the forum, play safe and you'll see everything you do in the forum will be of good use to your long term staying in the forum

If your post does not count even after making new post then I think the reasons could be one of these.
(1) making non-constructive and unimportant post.
(2) generally not following the laid down rules and regulations of the forum.
So I advise that you go and visit the rules and regulations again.
