Title: Do you think ICO investors are decreasing?
Post by: Domithra on September 12, 2018, 04:56:35 AM
ICO investors are not decreasing but rather becoming more knowledgeable in crypto. Investors used to enter the market blindly, throwing their fortunes on any ICO. Now, investors know how to research and come out with good ICOs which are feasible enough to be successful at the end of the day.

Investors become more selective and careful in selecting an ICO currently. They are smarter to provide research and observation before deciding to join an ICO. Since many scam project, failed ICOs, and bad market trend, investors try to invest wisely.

Yes, many investors are now knowledgeable when it comes to ICOs because they have seen so many scams before and they know what to look at when they are doing due diligence. Some may even just decide to just buy when the coins are getting listed in exchanges because there is a higher possibility that the price would only be a percentage of the ICO price since there are many dumpers so it would be more advantageous for them.

Actually, investors are reluctant to invest these ICOs because many of these ICOs are not real but they just tried to present sometime that look good, at the end of the day, they run with investors money. I think investors has drastically reduced interest because nobody want to invset and get scammed.
Again, most investor are looking at some of these existing projects that has the most used cases to invest, there by pulling out from the ones they aready invested. In my opinion, one of the reasons why prices of most coins are falling these day is because, most investors are pulling out from them. Factors such as speed and scalability has prompted these investors to change their mind and move to other projects.

Investors are not surging in to participate in Initial Coin Offering (ICO)s this late spring as the development in the ICO showcase backs off, as per another report by ICO Alert. The most recent figures from ICO Alert demonstrated a 38% reduction in the quantity of ICOs coming to advertise this week.

For me its quite decreasing, yeah we know that theres so many investors in the world, but some of them get scam that leads to them to quit, and due to large numbers of projects or tokens, it decrease the number of investors in a certain project which will be more likely to be a scam due to they dont reached the cap.

projects do not already collect those amounts at the stage of ico is a fact. I think that soon investment in crypto projects will become more private for large investors.

I have seen many projects succeed in achieving soft cap and are registered in CMC, but there are also projects that have failed. ICO investors are quicker in making decisions, I think they have members to make observations on ICO projects.

It is quite possible ... Now they have stopped blindly investing in all projects, and began to act much more cautiously and more selectively.  Most likely they understood what to look for first!

I think they are decreasing due to how we the bounty hunters are doing to their tokens. They now come and hunt with us or better still wait for tokens to be listed before they buy it at cheaper prices.

Now investors are loosing interst because of how the bounty hunters are treating them. They buy coins at a higher price and bounty hunters sells them low even a dcrease to about 100% which makes them loose their monies.

Its looking like investors are decreasing because of the present situation in crypto world , the bearish market, ICOs not reaching successful milestone such as soft cap which is end results of scam ICOs all over the places, some ICOs even lied about reaching softcap in order to lure investors and at the end of the day, they run with the raised funds and that is no longer a secret thereby making investors and potential ones to be picky about the project they invest in.

Yes, I see investors prefer a good project this year. You can see that there are several high-quality ico projects and reach hardcap quickly. This is a factor only a number of IOs in this year are successful in the sales period.

ICO's need to figure out how to link their coins to the success of their business.  Because anyone can make an ERC20 token, that in itself is not very valuable.  Some kind of profit sharing needs to happen, to encourage people to hold coins.  If tokens are a means of collecting money to start a business, than those coins need to earn dividends of that business.

New research data from Autonomous Research puts the total amount raised from ICOs last month at $326 million, the lowest figure in more than a year. A September 10, 2018 report by Bloomberg outlines a bleak ICO market hit by declining investment levels, which in turn may be fuelling an ether selloff that is pushing the ETH price down. In fact, some say that this is not merely a lean period for ICOs, but a sign that the so-called crypto funding boom is finally over.

Indeed, if seen in fact here that the Investor Projects in the ICO began to decline every week. This is definitely the main cause is their fear of the ICO Project which is a Scam and causes them to fear loss, thus withdrawing from investing in the Project in the ICO so far.

Yes, investors come and go and crypto has come to stay. I think this is right, however, many investors are looking at new ground of investment( good projects) to maximize profit.
Projects that has new technology or improved technology are also in the eyes of so many investors.

I think ICO investors are decreasing because a lot of ICO's do not reach their soft cap. Some of the projects are scam and that scares away the investors because no investor wants to lose his or her money.

Agree with you mate, Investors now are more vigilant and knowledgeable due to many ICO's are failed or become Scrammed, they've learned from their past mistakes, but for me, I think its not advisable for now to invest in any ico out there because of the unstable marker condition.
