BitPay CCO Predicts Altcoins to ‘Never Come Back,’
what do you think ?
The CCO of BitPay Sonny Singh said that cryptocurrency markets are now on the threshold of a new stage of progress, which requires a certain “defining moment,” or a “catalyst.” According to Singh, that “defining moment” will come when big institutional investors, such as Goldman Sachs and BlackRock, “become real” in 2019.
“But next year you'll see the talk of the big entrants become real, where you’ll see Goldman does launch a trading desk, Fidelity does launch a Bitcoin product, Square offers Bitcoin processing for merchants, BlackRock launches an ETF... So all that will become real, and you’ll see some adoption actually. And then [...] the price [will bounce] back up again.”
However, while predicting that Bitcoin “will rebound next year,” Singh was mostly bearish on altcoins. Singh said that altcoins “will never come back” to their previous levels, stating that firms like Fidelity and BlackRock are “not going to launch altcoin products, they’re going to launch Bitcoin products.”

I don't believe in Sonny Singh's prediction. It is only his prediction with no big reason to state it. I am sure that Altcoin will also rebound next year. Green market is not only for Bitcoin, Altcoin will also be effected with the positive market trend.

There are more than a thousand altcoins, most of them will not last long. This is so true and that's why we need to do good research when investing. On the other hand, it's not realistic to say that bitcoin will disappear. It devastated everyone for a long time, but it's going to start rising again one day. I hope we don't have to wait too long for a new bull.

Who can predict the future? I don't think there is, even if there is a prediction it can't be 100% right, So we need thinking more clear before take an action, I think this just to make a crypto's price fall so far and after that they buy crypto in low price and hold it for some month, after the situation back to normal again, and the crypto's price pump they will sell their coin and get the profit. This like an old games

I cannot say anything about these statements , but I agree with them in part. I think that many altcoins will never recover and this is natural. Many of them do not have a real product, and those who survive will be able to show new highs.
