Title: Why ICOs drop in price after listing on market
Post by: Domithra on September 16, 2018, 03:43:48 AM
It is rather unfortunate ICOs end up dropping in price after listing. In order to get the best of good ICOs, one thing you must do is to exercise a lot of patience and give it a long term goal. Most coins experience corrections in price after listing on the market with quite a good pump, however, not nearing the ICO price.
ICOs are to be considered as long term investment.

It is correct that ICOs are to be considered as long term investment. Mostly of ICOs have very low prices after listing on exchanges. Investors should wait for long time to see the prices rising again. Moreover, usually the price cannot reach the ICO price when the coins / tokens listed on exchanges.

This because many people sell their coin under the ICO price, even I see the developers of that project be the big sell wall, so the price fall so far easily.
I think if holding coin for a long term, I'm not sure if the price can be back to normal again after fall so far, because I have hold a coin arround 5 years but the price still low even like a die coin. I think every coin we hold tht should have good developers, because without it, the coin can't show their advantages and their special feature, so who will be interested buy that coin?

Lots of people are just trying to use bounties to earn some side money and aren't really worried about making long term investments.  They just want to flip the coins they got, and then move on to the next thing.  This coupled with the fact that the market is really down and has been for the better part of this year, there's really no reason ICO's wouldn't drop in price.

It is rather unfortunate ICOs end up dropping in price after listing. ~snip~

This is a big problem for ICOs prices right now. Almost all ICOs experience a falling price extremely after listing their coins or tokens. People speculate it is caused by bounty hunters. It is the impacts of bounty coins or tokens selling massively. But I don't think it is true. I think big investors / whales and the developers that are possible to make the price lower or set a price on a certain rate.

To get the best from a good ICO, one thing you have to do is train a lot of patience and give it a long-term goal. Most of the coins have corrected the price after listing in the market with the pump is quite good, but not close to the ICO price. This is a bit disappointing for the ICO to finally fall in price after the list.

It's best to know what causes these decrease in prices. They are due to 2 reasons from my point of view.
1. The higher bonuses given to investors- When an investor is given 100% bonus, he can just decrease the price he is selling the token thereby decreasing the price.
2. When bounty hunters get more tokens or tokens are distributed to them early, they be in haste to sell it at lower prices.

I agree that ICOs should be considered long term investments, most good investments are long term ones.
It is natural that ICOs experience a drop in price when entering the market, on one side bounty hunters that are just after the quick cash, on other side early investors that got huge bonus... and let's not forget some nervous investors that sell immediately loosing money because they get scared with the price drop...
Almost every solid project with a good team, feasible goals and good strategic view will eventually valuate in time...

I agree that the dump is unfortunate and that ICO investments should be for long term. However, we cannot control the action or strategy of other investors. Others immediately sell with the plan to accumulate more once the price drops and then hold it for long term.
