Title: Do you agree that the Bounty Hunter causes losses to the ICO?
Post by: Trio86 on September 16, 2018, 01:50:06 PM
I think that people who consider the bounty hunters detrimental to the ICO cannot do a good calculation, I think the prize hunter is a worker who is often treated unfairly.

I absolutely don't agree with the opinion that blames the bounty hunters. Bounty hunters help to promote and spread out the information of ICOs. They have contribution to succeed the token sale in ICO phase. They also only get bounty rewards with a small allocation (commonly about 1%-5% of the total tokens).

The accusation that bounty hunters causes to ICOs or cause the drop in the price of tokens is actually very false. I have the following reasons to back up my claim;

1. Most ICOs have just 1% or 2% maximum for bounties and airdrop. This implies that the remaining 99% of the coins stays with the core investors of the project and the project team. This is not forgetting the private pre-sale investors who get issued big bonuses. Let's say team token are vested for certain periods, usually between 6 months to 3 years depending on the project. Those guys with big bonuses cause the loses to projects in my honest opinion as the team would like to make their investors happy.

2. Projects like Ontology and Project Hydro gave straight airdrops without doing ICOs and their coins are still doing well in the market. Why have the projects not suffered losses because of those huge airdrops given?

In summary, a good project will do well whether or not bounty hunters dump their tokens.

Bounty is not responsible for ICO loss or failure. Why do most people think so just because the bounty sells their tokens after they get it? That is theirs, so they are free to throw or save it.

I really like the opinion of my friends in this forum about bounty hunters who are blamed for the loss of an ICO, without ICO bounty hunters who will spend a lot of money to promote, I think only bounty hunters want to work without knowing how much they will get paid, sometimes a lot of bounty hunter hunters are not paid and developers use bounty hunters to deceive investors.

I do not agree. the bounty program must involve participants to promote the project. that's great, because it's profitable in the field of advertising for the project. if the project directly makes advertising, the cost is very expensive. Bounty participant, an important component in project image development.

Bounty hunter is a person who has contributed to an ICO especially for promotion helps. They are people who work hard for iCO. So why are so many people who hate bounty just because they sell tokens or coins that they get? Some bounty hunters may sell their coins. But I think that many others still hold the coins.

I don't think so, the token allocated for the bounty campaign is very low of the whole supply and not all of the bounty hunters are dumping their coins there are some who dumps but they are also investors who prefer to hold their shares.

In my opinion, we cannot generalize that all the bounty hunters cause losses of the ICO. because, not all bounty hunters immediately sell their tokens or coins at very cheap prices. So, in my opinion, it is more to the individual bounty hunters. Although many bounty hunters sell their coins after distribution.

I don't think so. Bounty is not the cause of losses from ICO. The success or failure of the ICO is dependent on the project itself. It is unfair to say that the bounty is the cause of the loss of the ICO project. Because the task of bounty is to campaign for the ICO. If they get tokens, they are free to sell them.
