In my opinion, many projects may not survive at the long run, but considering the use cases of most projects and their similarities, i think most project might consider a merger, at least to boost the projects chances of survival in this highly competitive cryptocurrency development. Your thoughts.

Well I think it is hard to merge but partnership is highly possible since projects need to have a good partnership to have a high succes rate.
-
Many projects understand that concept and try to make serious partnerships to reach their goals, but it's very difficult that there will be some merge because in this way they will drastically change roadmap and what was written in whitepaper.
-
Such a development option is quite possible, because only recently a dogeetherium coin was released, after which Dogecoin surprised the price for a few days, it is possible that such coin merging projects will soon be successful!
-
Yes, it will depend on the project product which can be merge into one if each product will compliment the other one.

This is great idea but seems complicated.
First of all, the problem will be the ownership. I know there will be conflict if there is a total merger who would be the main management?
Secondly, let just say they have the same concept, someone has to adopt and loss some concept that are on their own project.
Thirdly, location and asset containment. If one project agree to abandon their site for relocation, what if they are on different countries? Someone has to sacrifice right?
Lastly, the most suitable for this is partnership but retaining both projects or abandon one and continue which one is greater so the project can still have support financially and technically.
-
I don't really know if two or more projects technically possible to merge. What if one project issued 50 millions tokens while the other issued 1 billions tokens? If merger happen, I think the result is a brand new project and they will canceled their old projects.

That's why its kinda bit complicated. Unless both parties will agree to each other's term and negotiation. Most probably someone will give up their own project in order to make the merger then will invest all money on his own project with the other which is most chances of success. But that is one case, also they can retain both projects as long as they can pool one another with investment hedge fund

Numerous activities comprehend that idea and attempt to make genuine organizations to achieve their objectives, however it's extremely troublesome that there will be some union on the grounds that along these lines they will radically change guide and what was composed in whitepaper.

I think most projects will not survive. But those projects that have a real team and really work on their product-will definitely survive.
-
Good question never raised , I think projects to merge will need to do hard fork so they can be merged , and absolutely this need too much work from all sides Financial and technical!

Hard fork? Is this possible for different project? Let say they are both on ethereum smart contract and both tokens are on erc20, how can a fork done by other's platform? I'm clueless with this, can you elaborate?

I saw it, many coin projects that experienced a decline eventually made forks, so that the project continued to survive and could be better, because coin fork was usually a refinement of the previous coin. but the drawback, the coin that has been fork, will usually experience a price decline after that.

Not necessary on bitcoin, some fork made by bitcoin increase in rate like bitcoin cash but still bitcoin can outperformed those.forked coin as well. Look at EOS, it has a new coin but still EOS is better.

I think your points are right, sacrifices are the absolute answers or solution to mergers. Must of these projects out there, has good use cases but they may not be fully followed or promoted by the teams, and these are areas some of these projects has to look into for a possible merger instead of just having partnership arrangements.

You have also given a solution in such cases, i think that every ideas of merging projects colud be streamlined to new just one brand project, whether one prohect has 50 million token and another one has 30 million tokens.

what projects do you want to join in? What are the projects, if my opinion is that bitcoin projects and altcoin projects can be combined, now there are altcoin and bitcoin projects that are put together in a bounty campaign, if altcoin and bitcoin are combined, the better
