this decline has not just occurred against the dollar, as the ethereum price has also cratered against bitcoin. Just six months ago, ETH was valued at just under 0.1 BTC. Now, it’s priced at less than half that mark and shows no signs of finding its footing as bitcoin continues to gobble up market share. At a present value of 0.047, ETH/BTC is now trading at levels not seen since mid-December, when the bitcoin price went parabolic and briefly peaked at $19,891 on Bitfinex. It’s not entirely clear what drove the sell-off, which is disproportionately large compared to the minor declines exhibited throughout the majority of the rest of the cryptocurrency market.

it is true that eth prices have experienced a very deep downturn, and currently the ethereum price is very low, but I believe prices will recover soon.

I really feel like prices will spring back to around $500 by the end of the year... but I could be wrong.

So is this price the lowest price ethereum when viewed from the percentage increase in eth prices every year? I think it's interesting to see the development of eth prices.

The decline that is not desirable for all crypto lovers, so that panic occurs in Eth holders and sells it on a large scale which has a dramatic price drop. But many believe that Eth will recover soon.

I think ethereum needs a strong holder to maintain the value of eth. If this continues to happen, in the future the ICO project will not use the ethereum platform. Many platforms can be used by the ico project and I see that the platform is very good like stellar, Eos and neo.

it is indeed true that currently many coins have decreased to the lowest base, but I am still very optimistic about the future of crypto and especially ethereum.

Ethereum did experience a lot of problems, especially regarding the current price and especially in 2018, bro. I think that is very detrimental if it continues like this. But the fact is that Ethereum is still holding on and the market, although down, remains stable, unlike Bitcoin, bro. I salute seeing Ethereum who is still strong at the moment, bro.

I'm also wondering why this too much decrease of Ethereum price. While other cryptocurrency are decreasing Ethereum decreases too much. Maybe due to its tokens? I hope prices goes up again.

ETH is very volatile, that's a main problem for investors tu put big money on cryptocurrencies. You should read about Nebula Network - it's decentralized storage cloud with cryptocurrency based on its own blockchain. Emission mechanism is tied to coud's resource supply - thanks of it exchange rate is rock stable and independent from BTC rate turbulences. This project may be a future.

Keep calm mate. I think It is normal. Crypto currency is high volatile. It just a crysis of crypto. The market will recover again soon.I believe it.

I think that now it is necessary to use the moment and take the etherium, while they are given at low prices. With resources like the project, it will sooner or later grow in price

It is really difficult to explain the cause of the fall of ETH price. Its so sad seeing ETH fall below 200$. The crypto market is generally down but ETH has been affected too much.

I think ETH was down because this year many ICO projects sold all the ETH they collected and only held BTC.
so the ETH goes down very deep.
but I am sure if ETH will be needed next year and will probably go up again.

Do not worry the price will not remain in down position. I do believe that there will be a right time to bounce back again. The price now will be different tomorrow.
