I invested $85 into ethereum yesterday and after couple hours I lost $10 ,,,does it mean it's not the best time to invest yet and secondly I'll like to ask if that amount is good enough to invest in such a stable coin

Every day and every time market is up and down this is usual in cryptomarket , but this is good time to buy ethereum because already ethereum reached $1200 now we should hold all Coins don't Panic just wait few months.

Also: You only lose money when you sell at a loss. Being $10 "down" isn't the same as selling it when it's $10 down.
Similarly, you only actually "make money" when you sell profit.

Calm down buddy! Learn from me. I was loss over 90% from my capital investment but it won't be loss if you just hold your coin. In my part, after buying it on the hype, about 6 months ago, never in a single day I get profit from it. Until today, my capital investment was just losing its value. The money was sleeping in my wallet, I patiently waiting for the right time. Selling it in the bear market is committing suicide.

Losing $10 is not bad as the market is unstable. If you want to be profitable you need to invest in a long term as this is predicted that the price of ethereum will reach higher in the future.
