Title: What Consensus Protocol can really be useful on cryptocurrency?

Hello everyone in your own opinion what consensus protocol really can be helpful for everyone.We know that PoW (Proof of Work) are the first generation consensus and been used until now. But other's like PoS (Proof of Stake) have also a nice concept. For me this is amazing compared to PoW since it does not need energy to consume rewards instead determination through your holdings. I know there is a lot maybe you can share which one favors you and what does benefit we can take from it.
