Last year in early december I bought eBitcoin token which turned out to be a scam. Luckily for me I sold them before the ePRX snapshot but alot others have made losses. I really believed this token would be a succes but I've realized that alot of these ERC20 tokens have the same things in common. The devs (or better said scammers) create a lot of hype and pretend their token to be the real deal while they never intended to create a working product.

Erc20 tokens are not untrustful. But if you are saying airdrop e tokens, they are basically a phase. And most of them are garbage. exmr, emonero, eltc, eripple etc.

i just trusting few Ethereum Token,of course included major Ethereum based on coinmarketcap from rang 2-30 ERC-20 Token, but for now i'm not trust anymore in Ethereum token

most tokens are like that, but there are some of them that are potential and give us a lot of benefits, the best reviews will give you maximum profits in the future whether it's coins or tokens

Well, I just got scammed because of a bug on one coin contract, I will not say the same because I don't want people to try and use it, but ya the contracts should be reviewed really good, I don't want to talk about the past incidents we all know about that made people lose millions because of a bad contract.

I recommend the ERC20 wallet using MEW or you can use metamask. it's as good as long as my privatekey cloud funds feel safe. nothing can collapse unless it is damaged due to a user error or a phishing website. actually metamask is better, I'm used to using MEW, now I've arrived now MEW

The trust is not related with the project. I believe you asked the question in the wrong way. Trusting to ERC20 means trusting to ETH blockchain. On the other hand, you can either trust or don't to the projects and it is not related with the blockchain.

ERC-20 token is just a cryptocurrency that’s built on the Ethereum platform.I think they are not bad.

The trust doesn't lie within ERC20 Standard token it's who ever runs the company behind said token. Not everyone wanted to create a blockchain coin so they went with ERC20 created from ETH. Most good hearted ICO's was because the project company didn't have enough fund to created their vision so funding helps. Then you have the ones that jumped on the ICO bandwagon to just get rich with no vision in the future.
ERC20 standard is flawed though, the main problem is lack of possibility to handle incoming ERC20 transactions, that were performed via transfer function of ERC20 token. Millions of dollars in crypto has been loss from users because of ERC20 standard. So my advice is if you have your token holders best interest in mind, go with ERC223 Standard.

many token are untrusted, but if we can find token with good dev, we can found many good project Like EOS.
so i think we must make many research about token , before we buy or decide to invest some project.

I still trust the ERC20 token.ERC20 I think it is very easy to make it and this is very safe because I'm either using in to store my token and if there are project scam ,I think this has nothing to do with the token ERC20.

I've done a lot of transactions and save Crypto using the ERC20 platform. So I believe so use this platform to use as an investment asset. In addition the fee is cheaper as well when compared to Bitcoin.

Why not? I like and trust ERC20 tokens as i am a trader and i trade altcoins regularly. You have to do research regularly on different coins before investment. Don't invest in any coin without research. So select a proper ERC20 tokens and hold or trade. You should be remembered that airdrop tokens are mostly fake.

ERC20 is just the "nature" of the coin and it says that it is based on the blockchain Ethereum. It's just that many tokens are created on the blockchain Ethereum and these tokens are the most common. Not all erc20 tokens can be trusted as many of them are fake tokens... many of the contracts where not audited . You have to do a through research before going into any project

Just look at the top 30 coins on the market to choose a project.Many of them have good potential for growth.For most tokens erc-20 takes time before they will be able to prove itself.Most tokens won't survive.

I didn't understand the kind of this question. You can't trust ERC20 type tokens, but you can trust to the Ethereum network which is here to produce ERC20 kind of tokens and transfer them on its network.
So I believe you should re-shape your question to if you trust to the Ethereum network.
Personally, yes I believe in them and trust them since I check the codes of them.

You know, not all erc20 tokens can be trusted. Anyone can make erc20 contract with the same name of the legit project. All you need to do is to verify the legitimacy of the contract in the official community of such token to avoid scam.

ERC20 token on Ethereum network is definitely trustworthy.This type of token have been very useful to many project and as a matter of fact, ERC20 is more flexible and useful more than many altcoins.Though there are some improvement needed on it buy and large however it is still the best.

Yes I do trust ERC20 token but ofcourse not all of them because others just basically make their token for the sake of scamming people.So to secure my investment I make research before investing and I make sure that I won't get scam.Though we can't really tell that is 100%legit all we have to do is trust our research and our decision.

I think its not about a coin being erc20 or what but its more on the project itself and the devs. I have also seen a lot of projects that creates hype and good PR until the end of distribution or airdrops and then you wouldn't hear anymore about them. It is annoying but I guess it's easy to pinpoint erc20 tokens because it is easy to create smart contracts in it so most scam and shit coins are made out of it.

I believe in erc20 tokens, it's just that I'm a little disappointed that the scammers take advantage of the convenience and making their own tokens and taking advantage of harming others. I hope that the erc20 tokens are increasingly tightened.

I think this is a classic mix between technology and people using that technology. the technology is innocent of the criminal acts of others. I personally think that the token ERC20 is a great idea.

I believe eBitcoin was a airdrop coin and I don't have much expectations with airdrop coins. Its not easy to identify the scam projects in the beginning. Many of us bought different different coin in hope of that we will earn good profit from them but we are wrong many of the coins we hold are scammed coin or we can say worth just some pennies. So one should always do proper research before investing in any project or buying any coin. I trust ERC-20 tokens as you know majorly we have ERC-20 tokens in the market and we should not blame it on the other hand we should do proper homework before buying/investing in any coin.

Why not? ERC20 tokens which are based on the Ethereum Blockchain are one of the trust worthy coins due to the smart contract which makes all verified and unverified transactions able to be scanned by participants in order to promote transparency. It also makes it possible to scan all tokens holders of a particular coin for research and other significant purposes.

Well not all Erc20 tokens are garbage but I agree most of it are garbage. But they are some useful too, Binance uses Erc20 as BNB token and TRX use it before creating their own blockchain and many more.

I don't understand very well your statement.
In any case ERC20 tokens are associated to projects. Someone are scam, other legit. You should understand it before investing.
On the other hand, considering the technology, an ERC20 token is a very safe "stock" and no one can hack it unless you are phished.

I agree with this, because a roll back diminishes the trust in the blockchain. They may roll back, to fix a fraud, but if I used ETH to sell merchandise, then after the roll back, I will lose my payment. That's why many people do not trust ECR20 tokens. I get them only from ICO, and I sell them to change them to Bitcoin, Litecoin, XRP or Monero.

Cause at this moment the most of the project based on ethereum. And there is a lot of ICO which are good enough to participate. So I kind of like eth tokens. I think this situation is depends on you . Cause you are the one who invest and if you invest in a wrong place. That doesn't means the whole eth based is not good enough. I really believed this token would be a succes but I've realized that alot of these ERC20 tokens have the same things in common. The devs (or better said scammers) create a lot of hype and pretend their token to be the real deal while they never intended to create a working product.
To trust or not to trust is not really a factor to consider. Our main intention when going into crypto space is to earn money from this crypto market. As long as the market provide us with what we want trust can be negligible.

I believe that ERC20 is safe because they provide several accesses such as PK, Legder, Metamask etc. if there is fraud or theft of an account, I think the users are not careful in maintaining their own wallets
