Title: fake coin
Post by: maklampir on September 22, 2018, 07:33:23 AM
Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish the right coin with a fake coin or scam. The best way to avoid it is to seek as much information about certain coins. Then see if many people buy the coin, and look at the background of the coin.
Sometimes even if you already do that we are still stuck with fake coins, maybe the best and safest is to buy the right coins are guaranteed like ETH, Litecoin, Ripple and others who are in coinmarketcap.

I believe in Altcoin, because it thrives and will prosper, will soon enter into everyday life and this can not but rejoice. Interesting questions, thank you. ;) ;) Yes, it is always possible. Problems can consist of competitors who also want to make their crypto currency into circulation, so it is difficult.  :D ;D

Now there are a lot of fake coins, especially if you see that the funds raise by ICO are currently falling dramatically,to make sure it was indeed quite difficult,so I was never interested in new coins.Usually a fake or a scam is a new coin that is in ICO's time.so buy coins that are already on the market for investment or trading. For example Ripple,Cardano or Eth.

Yes, it is very difficult to different between real and fake coins. That's why to buy coins for investment, I recommend you to choose top coins. I think this is one of the reason why investors are quite afraid to invest in ICOs now.

This isn't about fake coins, but we have problem with scams and frauds project, where that project look really promising and make investors believe and interesting to invest.
This is really hard to know which scams and great project, because they have great roadmap and whitepaper, but that can't be a guarantee, so how we can choose great project?

For crypto that already exists in coinmarketcap, it is clear and we know. If we are faced with new crypto, which is currently selling ICO, it seems difficult to distinguish which one is good or potentially scam. Because what looks good and sales successfully reach the SC or HC target can be a scam too. So we like taking risks by investing in crypto that we do not know good or not. Because it will only be seen when the sale has finished and the listing.

As long as you check it twice, looking at their contract addresses whether they are the same or not, both social media accounts, their website, you will be safe. All of that is actually caused by our rush and lack of careful

very real, friend, with a lot of various kinds of projects coming up in the crypto world, so it's very difficult to distinguish between good and scam. so the right solution is to agree with those who seek as much information as possible about the token

Altcoin are really profitable but getting the right one to invest in is kinda hard. Sometimes an altcoin is been dumped by the whales in which it has no way of recovering. Which is so bad

Indeed. Top coins on coinmarketcap will be most recommended that other ICO coins. Those coins there have already good caps on market. However, we also need to choose good strategy on trading or investment.

Before investing in cryptocurrency it would be nice to learn first what are the risks of losses and profits.

These fake coins can be categorized as pests in a rice farm that must be destroyed.
It's better to just avoid the newly emerging coins and better to trade Bitcoin X Fiat on the local Exchange.

Buying already established altcoin is a good idea. But we need to know that some new altcoin has efficient use case and potential. Differentiating between scam project and real projects is easy to know but still an incredible investor will always know how to invest his/her money wisely.

if you do not want to be deceived, you should be more detailed looking for data sources that you can, whether their team is real or just take photos of someone else from social media, because lately there are many projects that do that

The desire to get as much profit as possible mainly controls us, so we don’t always look at Bitcoin or Ethereum, but still keep them on the wallet, and therefore we start looking for something that will bring more profit and find coins with small trading volumes, but  Again, we run the risk of losing everything!

Even if you buy it at coinmarketcap, it's useless. because in coinmarketcap, if you are not careful, you will get coins that do not develop. there have been many coins like that in coinmarketcap.

I think the danger of buying a fake coin is only related to Decentralized exchanges because there is no chance to buy a fake coin from a centralized exchange. The number of fake tokens/coins on the decentralized exchanges is crazy and the best practice is to always check the contract of the coin/token you buy and of course, check the volume for trade etc ...

Yes, it is true that many fake coins are spreading out right now. We must be careful to choose coins for investment. I agree that top coins on marketcap should be more trusted than new coins at ICOs.

yeah I got your opinion, but sometimes the market needs development, so we have to give opportunity to new projects as well, I'm not saying to all projects please note, and before investing it's advised to pay attention to the team which is developing the project, its previous records, experiences and so on

It is true that there are many fake coins existing now. To be safe, I think it is better to buy coins that are already established and in the market already. There are also some ICOs to choose from. But if we want to buy from ICOs, be sure to check everything about it first, from its project, admin and its addresses. If they are consistent with everything, that maybe would indicate that the ICO is safe and real.

if you are not really convinced in investing on icos. the best option is to wait for the project to hit an exchange. once you are sure it is on an exchange platform , go ahead, buy from exchange then transfer to your wallet but you need to be monitor the project also to avoid dumping everything in the market and disappearing.

Currently there are many fake coins in circulation and left behind by developers, I hope new coins can become competitors in coinmarketcap and not make people disappointed because the idea they have ends in a scam.

just like in forex, you start with the majors first,
well in my opininion.. at least invest within top 20 cryptocurrencies.. with that you have some certainty in mind.. but do not invest long term.

(crypto prices tend to be more volatile than real currency rate or stocks)

It's really normal here that we will encounter a lot of fake coins/tokens/projects. Actually we believed that there's around 90%-95% of projects in crypto are turning to scam. What we just really need to do to avoid those things are just do some research.

Nowadays there are many fake ICO projects, just by using sales by means of Crodwsale they make products that are scam. Only to make money from deceiving investors who will buy it and then run away. It is difficult to know beforehand, because there are those who reach the soft stamp of their sales but they are still fake. So it's hard to tell which ones are good and which ones are scam.

If you doubt to invest or trade with what crypto coins, you are better to choose top coins like Ethereum, Stellar, Ripple, or other promising top coins. For the beginner, it is not recommended to invest in ICOs. ICOs must be fit for experienced people since it needs complex research.

There are a lot fake coins now entering into the ICOs. Many investors and bounty hunters are being cheated at regular basis. Before investment, an investor should investigate pros and cons of that project. Hence i like to invest in established coins rather than new coins.

Yea, fake coins has a great of number coins compared to genuine coins today, but besides Eth, litcoins, and bitcoins, there are several other coins out there that are also very good. You may identify them through their trading volume at CMC and they might  be trading bolow the first top ten coins.

Binance was hacked before and even some big exchangers as well. Hackers sometime can penetrate this firms without any hardship since the concept of 51% attack is susceptible until now. I guess the more the people being cautious the more they become in danger of buying fake coins..

True. There are many fake coins created by irresponsible developers currently. I call them "shitcoins", since they cannot be used and worthless. There are some that already listed on exchanges, but others only worthless coins on wallets that the developers never try to list on exchanges. However, there are still many good coins on CMC.

I also strongly agree with you, good and reliable coins are coins that have entered Coinmarketcap, but if we buy coins at ICO, we can get coins with bonuses, and that makes more profits when we sell them after enter the market.

The scammers using fake tokens operate almost similar to pump & dump projects. Ideally, a team creates the fake crypto coins which they try to sell to investors by working on overview aspects like whitepapers. Using these documents, the scammers will sell a “cash cow” to investors while in truth their speculated targets are unrealistic. A good number of scamming whitepapers will often display inaccuracy starting with the grammar & other content that may probably be stolen.

The volume of trades will not tell you whether a fake coin or not. It happens especially pampyat the coin, showing the volume, so that more beginners enter it. When choosing a coin, pay attention to the project team, the history of the coin, the exchange on which the coin is traded, and also preferably when investing, choose altcoins from the top 30 coinmarketcap
