Why some people want the Ethereum to over come Bitcoin in the near future? Is it because they make profit from ETH or what?

If I own not so wanting it to happen. Maybe because they've long since the ethereum's collection, with a very low price. so that if transformed into ethereum bitcoin, then it could make them very wealthy.

Of course everybody who own whatever altcoins not only ethereum want their coin to overcome bitcoin. Imagine if you hold some ETH now then the price is going up like 20x, you are now 20 times richer than before.

They may only talk about its possibility, but it seems still far away. It is unlikely to happen even ETH is the most useful altcoins and promising to develop. Bitcoin has its own power as the first crypto ever created.

Because many companies are using the platform of the Ethereum.So the Ethereum has huge market demand and the price of the ethereum also low.More investors large profits by investing in the ethereum.currently the eth the king of ICOs. Simple, because they invest a lot on etherium. And if you just compare it into the price of bitcoin it so cheap, so once etherium will overcome bitcoin for those whose invest in etherium will get rich in an instance.

Ethereum is a more stable coin than bitcoin , bitcoin exists in a limited number , many smart contracts of ICO projects are built on Ethereum , and therefore it will not disappear anywhere.

Because investors think that having a currency of the platform where other coins will build their projects would be more beneficial than having a coin which will be used as a currency for payments.

I think that one of the possible reasons is that compared to btc, ether had lower transaction costs. Many experts see more advantages in keeping ether than btc

Maybe because of the large supply and also because many ICOs use ethereum as a smart contract which then ethereum price will be very influential on this token but honestly I don't think about it because I'm quite satisfied with bitcoin and I'm also satisfied with ethereum with its current position so I don't think that needs to be replaced

Ethereum is affordable for now even the newbies can invest into it and get a Hugh profit. Bitcoin is high in price only the whales can afford that. Ethereum is been mostly use for ICO fundraising

Yes, indeed some people want Ethereum to exceed Bitcoin, including me, because indeed I do more transactions using coins Ethereum compared to Bitcoin coins, but if seen from the available supply it is difficult for Ethereum to beat the price of Bitcoin, because the Bitcoin supply is only 21 million coins whereas Ethereum coins have more than 100 million, and automatically use Bitcoin as a more expensive transaction tool than Ethereum, and for Ethereum even though its use is equivalent to the use of Bitcoin but the supply is more than Bitcoin so that the price of Ethereum coins is cheaper compared Bitcoin.

Because BTC has no internal value at all. Buying it can be considered as the money saving in a safe asset.
At the same time ETH has internal value and buying it can help all crypto industry to develope and grow.

I am a big Ethereum fan but I never claimed or wanted Ethereum to overcome Bitcoin, as much I believe that Ethereum is #1 Altcoin and it should not be named as an Altcoin anymore, as much I believe that Bitcoin is the backbone of Cryptocurrency and if for any reason Bitcoin lose its #1 spot it will return with negative impact on whole Cryptocurrency including Ethereum. Bitcoin should be out of competition and should not be compared with any other Cryptocurrency.

It seems that I will not agree that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin and that does not need to be done by Ethereum.
Ethereum can manipulate its finances because the #DevelopmentTeam of Etheruem also has normal human nature.

You are right ethereum is the king of altcoin and the price of tokens sometimes follows the development of ethereum if ethereum is weak surely other tokens also feel the same

Ethereum has better technology than bitcoin and it's easy to use also it's supported ERC20 tokens here by we can create a new ERC20 tokens very easily that is called ethereum smart contract technology and it's transaction fees is too low and very fast compared with bitcoin transactions.

for me there is no chance for ethereum to go beyond bitcoin if you only see a price gap even if we say that bitcoin is still stuck now bitcoin will not exceed one of them which is the strength for bitcoin to go down. Ethereum is better than Bitcoin and can make world better, not ust a cash for payment, Ethereum is platform for Dapps and ICO. Bitcoin can't do it for us.

I see a big difference with ETH and BTC because ETH is a much way better than BTC in terms of technological advancement but still BTC is a pioneer and the first in the blockchain word.. with ETH improvements each and everyday surely it is way better than BTC.. But BTC is still the best ! ^_^

People think that Ethereum has better power and value than Bitcoin in crypto system. Moreover, Ethereum has various purposes that rarely having by another crypto coins. Howevr, I have no problem if Bitcoin is always in number 1. It is a special coin that created first time.

I think people want to see ETH overcoming BTC because they want something new happening in crypto space. But I think it won't happen since BTC is always getting stronger than others. Ethereum is only to be the queen of crypto, not to be the king.

I would just like to see how altcoins will behave without Bitcoin's price dominance. I wonder if there will be general periods of growth or decline in the cryptocurrency market, as it is now, or not. Therefore, I want some changes to take place in this market. The current cryptocurrency market does not suit me.

I agree with ETH being the queen. For now, it is impossible for ETH to take over BTC considering its market value now.
They probably just want ETH to get to the top as it will also give chance to other altcoins without BTC's rate affecting them.

I suppose if the ETH price is able to grow like BTC. They will definitely get a big profit. I see with the rising price of ETH will have an impact on all altcoins. The Altcoin holders are very much and their expectation that ETH can pump very high.
ETH is the number two coins and this coin is very popular. And I guess in the future this coin will be much more inflated in price.

Because ethereum is the best technology hereby we can sent payment in low cost , ethereum is the king of ERC20 tokens if ethereum over come BTC here by we can earn lot of profits namely ethereum based projects are will rise too fastly.

I don’t even know if I wanted ethereum to grow so much in price that it could overtake bitcoin. I am not ready to predict all the consequences in the cryptocurrency market. However, I would like to see how the market will develop if there is no price dominance of bitcoin. In my opinion, bitcoin is now hampering the normal development of cryptocurrency.

BTC is the strongest crypto coin and no other coins/tokens have the same power as BTC has. It will be difficult for ETH to replace/overtake BTC.

Really? Depends I think. Eth has many plans too and still early on their roadmap. Why youre thinking its like a dead end already for them to overtake btc. Yes btc is pretty well known but as you can see, btc has flaws also and those flaws are likely the strength of eth. Dont judge eth cause the adoption of crypto is still just on the early stage.

Impossible Ethereum will be able to overcome Bitcoin, because the price range of these two coins is also very far away. And maybe people who hope that they hold enough ETH, so that if Ethereum is able to overcome Bitcoin, that person will get a huge profit. But for me it will be difficult to happen, Ethereum will always be under Bitcoin.

I think so. Ethereum should have many plans and they already become the king of altcoins. The next journey should be the king of all crypto coins. It means to overtake Bitcoin, but it must take a lot of time. We won't see it in the near future.
