The International Monetary Fund (IMF) just recently posted a picture that shows the evolution of money that people have used since the beginning of human civilization. Will IMF consider Bitcoin as a new currency?

To answer your topic question, I still think of USD, PHP, GDP, and other fiat currencies as money. Simply because fiat money is still the widely used currency worldwide. Still have huge hopes for BTC though.
Also, it's funny how we're getting so much positive news and adoption this year, but still the prices refuse to go up. If this was last year a single positive news pumps the prices by at least 10%.

IMF employees are similar like Bank employees they are braindead, (in the west especially often braindead christians) they are supposed to be neutral, not constantly think the universe is good to them and helps them. they live their live and write down things, being aware, of 0.000001% of total reality whats going on.
they think bitcoin is a social movement, supported by many,
but the truth is different
its a greed movement to obtain power as all other currencies are. its a never ending flow of propagandacoins, till those that work for money simply will see no reason working for money anymore, and money collapses even more.

I don't think they see Bitcoin as a new currency but what they might be referring in this photo is not about the evolution of money since trading is not here but the evolution of payment system that starts using the common ones, paying money then it evolved on using cards and now which we can use mobile phone applications and obviously Bitcoin.

The first thing that comes in my mind is fiat currency. Why? Because it is used by all people.
Second is digital currency, But I think it will be considered truly a currency
if government trust and uses digital currency.
-
When thinking about currencies, what comes to mind is the dollar. But if you think about crypto currency, of course I will answer bitcoin or altcoin. And I will think about program bounty, airdrop or ICO.
-
the first time out is my country's currency, IDR. then digital currency. because in my country we still can't use it for transactions like paper currency

It seems to me that the IMF is not interested in having the cryptocurrency become the next step in the evolution of money, so it seems to me that they will not consider this option!

Technology always evolving and government or finance authorities should able to adapting on technology. In internet era right now, its more eficient if we using bitcoin or other cryptocurrency for transaction because its more faster and much saving cost. I am believe in near future, government will issuing regulation and we can make transaction in merchant around us using cryptocurrency.
-
i will answer your 1st question 1st. for me USD PHP. about you 2nd question. we hope they will consider it. cause we all know that cryptocurrency is now building up strong foundation arouns the globe. there are many people now doing a cryptocurrency stuff so we hope that they consider it.
-
we know that not all countries can accept cryptocurrency, there are some countries that prohibit cryptocurrency. but if we see the development of cryptocurrency in some countries, then it will causes a lag between countries that still prohibit cryptocurrency.
-
It will be difficult for the IMF to be able to accept Bitcoin as a new currency in the world of world finance. Because the IMF uses a centralized system, so that Bitcoin will conflict with the IMF and that is clear, Bitcoin will be treated by the IMF as a currency too.

Since my brain is eaten by cryptocurrency I would answer the question as 50/50. I though about Dirhams and Dollar . Next I thought about Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. With this statement, I can conclude that cryptocurrency still in infancy and not yet adopted and a lot of room to grow.
