Hey guys, I just wanted to share. I've observed and read many articles too regarding this topic and I would like to hear your opinion regarding this. Do you think that the cryptocurrency market is on a downward trend? Would altcoins be following this trend as well? Since Jan 2018, the market of crypto had been moving up and down way too much in a very short period of time. Do you think it is possible for an entity to manipulate the market so big?

For the first three quarters of the year, it really do seems that way. But i do believe, we still have three more months to look forward to amidst the volatility. I am certain that market forces and adoption will attribute to a big change. Needless to say, i am optimistic that an upsurge in the world of cryptocurrency is about to happen.

Yes, it is a fact. We experience the decline cycle this year. Many people say the bear market has lasted almost a year (2018). I don't hope too much for the price rise this year. 2018 is almost over, I don't see the indication of bull market yet.

Yes I agree mate. 2018 is not a very prosperous year for crypto currency. I see Crypto just recover , It is market corrections.

I don,t think the market is been amanipulated but rather we will want to note that the market itself is a volitile market it can fall and raise at anytime also investors are contributors of this year big dip they are fond of dumping thier token and jumping and running to another project and this is also affecting the market.

I don't think it'd take THAT much BTC to manipulate the prices up or down. And I've heard that futures trading gives people incentive to manipulate the market. If they bet on BTC to go down, then they have a vested interest in making it go down.

Im hoping that 2018 will still a good year even the market is still down. So it is good to hold your coins and make an investment in bitcoin while the price is low, sothat when the market gets bullrun again it will have a good profit.

Yes, I agree with you. This year is the bad year for the cryptocurrency because all coins decreased too deep, and it seems; they are back to the first price before the last year. Perhaps, the whales take their part in this situations and make the price is down but the most reason why the price is down is that there are too many traders that is panic in the January in this year because they cannot hold the coin and get panic.

Hello Gastonic, first of all, 2018 has been unfavorable to cryptocurrency, though we still has some months left. I think that some of the reasons why there are up and down movements, are basically due to the market demand and supply principles. Other factors includes; market speculation, media influence etc.
Main while, there are thought from some quarters that the cryoto whales( ie those that had very large quantities of a coin) might have influence in determining the market prices. I think this may also determine the market conditions, however, the market is mostly determined by the demand and supply rules in my opinion. Thank you

For current market conditions. In the last 5 months, the market situation was so bad. Almost all coins fall and continue to fall to the minimum price point. That is very troubling for Crypto users who have been active and investors who invested in the past year. Its too early to say such conclusion about bitcoin. We still have couple of months to wait and I think there's still a chance that the market will change and would go bullish. Everyone are expecting it to happen before this year ends.

look man, everyone is so jumpy about this subject and keeps asking for the same things all around the forum... please look at the charts and do a quick study... you can take for example ethereum chart and check the price in Feb 2017, and then you can look back to the same bull/bear cycles since years...
bear markets are necessary to kill some shit coins and for the whales to get profit and coin... then the bull comes
