It came to my attention that some Bitcointalk members are complaining to projects that giving Altcoins Talks members the same stake in the bounties is not fair. Thus this post is to explain the difference between both forums.
1- What is the objective of bounties ?
Bounties objective is to get as much exposure to the project as possible. Thus a bounty on ALTT is a must.
2- The ranking system in both forums, and what is the rank good for ?
The ranking system in both forums is different, but until recently it was very similar.
bitcointalk started with a normal ranking, then they started limiting the ranking up, then now with merit system they almost killed any opportunity to rank up for new users.
Altcoins Talks: has a normal ranking system, your rank grows as you contribute more, no tricks no catch ... On Altcoins Talks however we have another criteria for contributions, the post count only increases when a certain criteria in the post is met, thus shitty short replies and posts are not counted. Here on ALTT we also have more ranks, we have more ranks in between and we have 2 ranks higher than legend.
For an ICO or project : the rank is good for signature exposure, the higher the rank the more contribution the member did, thus the more exposed will be the signature. But in a merit based system the amount of contribution is no longer relevant, thus the exposure is no longer a factor in ranks in btt. For Altt the rank is still linked to amount of contribution thus signature exposure is still relevant.
3- Signature is an ad, so what's the difference between both forums ?
They say an image is better than a 1000 words ! that's why on ALTT we allow both image and gif signatures. We think asci art has a lot of limitations for explaining or presenting a project, thus we advise you to use image or even gif for your signatures on our forum. But of course ascii signatures are accepted as well.
4- Multiple accounts & Account farms.
On Btt it is easy to signup for multiple accounts, you do not even need an email for that, accounts are not verified by email / on Altt we verify the emails, and we block any fishy email providers, thus to have multiple accounts on our forum you need multiple valid emails.
Then on our forum we actively hunt for multiple accounts, bots and farm accounts, we lable them or disable them! on BTT nothing of this happened, which means during the last couple years [since ICO frenzy] millions of fake and duplicate accounts were registered, and before the merit system was introduced, all these accounts have ranked up! I can bet you, not a single bounty hunter on btt have 1 single account, what does it mean ? it means less reach for your signature campaign, because when you maintain multiple accounts, you just do the bare minimum.
5- Altt gives you more exposure
We are a small forum and community compared to btt, but ironically, projects that post their bounties here get 4-20x more exposure, i'm kidding you not! And the reason is that on btt it is so crowded that it is difficult to get people intersted in your project, and unless you bump your post every 2 minutes, your post won't be exposed to many people. On btt within 2 minutes your post disappear in the 2nd, 3rd page, on the 1st page stays the projects bumping the post every 1-2 minutes !!! Thus a normal bounty, that does not want to artificially bump every few minutes, will go unnoticed. On our forum we have a much less aggressive approach, and due to our smaller community and the hunt on multiple accounts, such bumping rarely happens, allowing all bounties to get the exposure they deserve.
6- We care about your project
When bounties are posted on our forum, we help promote them, through twitter/ telegram/reddit etc ... On BTT they fight them, if they discover you are asking your members to bump your posts to get a bit more exposure, they delete your bounty.
7-We have a compensation plan to protect our bounty hunters
On our forum, if a project fails we protect our members by giving them our bounty token instead.
8-We take scam accusations seriously
On BTT, anyone creates a new account and accuses any project of being a scam; We have a separate section for that, and we make sure that accusers present valid arguments before labeling a project a scam.
In short, AltcoinsTalks is often a better place to run a bounty, so why do some bitcointalk users complain, why don't they just join here and create an account and rank it up as well / or just teleport, which by the way many do.
The answer is that some btt users want to limit others from accessing bounties so that they can get a bigger share themselves [hint: merit system on btt] , thus if a senior or hero member is valued on btt just because he is a senior member, not because of the contributions or activity that is by definition an anti-meritocratic system.
Furthermore, all those that created fake and multiple accounts and ranked them up, rejoiced when the merit system came into place in btt, and do not want another forum to reduce their share of the bounty.

So damn true. They say they will give merit to "quality" posts but the truth is merits are given to those posts flattering merit. 90% merits of DdmrDdmr - the most awarrded user on BTT are from his posts analyzing merit. It's a failure BTT has to prevent its members from ranking up by merit.
-
The funny is fucking merit system. I was a member of BCT, I no spam but I can not get any merit. They say merit will make the post more qualified. But with newbie or Jr member, It fucking still hard, they dont care us even thought my post is good or not.
But with the post about merit, they can give one if we talk well about merit. Fuck that.
And now they give the policy atleast 1 merit to become Jr.member. That's joker, i was a member for a year but still a newbie.
They despise the bounty hunters even though they also contribute to the development of the community. They discriminate us because we are bounty hunters, they will never give their merit.

~You are really wise~
Bitcointalk users have no strong reason to complain. They must not disfigure our forum for this case. Altcoinstalks is very open to anyone who wants to join.

Yes, I have analyzed about it, sir. You are correct, some of them want to take control the bounties. I don't know why they are so greedy. Actually, it is very bad and unfair attitude.
Note: I think a bounty manager should not be easy to affected by misleading people. Just focus in his work to promote an ICO project through bounty campaigns.

I take family in this forum. Althought the quantity member in this forum isn't much like that forum, but I can see the great future of this forum.
Nowaday, many project come to cryptocurrency world and apply their idea. I think this is excellent forum to spesifically topic.
And in number 7 and 8, I love those number in this forum. As far as we know, many scam project come to us. And nice idea to filter it before investor+bounty hunter face their project.
I'm very happy to read this thread. Let us contribute and growing up this forum. Hope this forum giving to the better especially to altcoin.
-
Well said explanation, I hope this forum will rise up with 1 person=1 account up to the the moon. For the fairness of everyone :)
Lets build altcoinstalks together :>

Admin :
👏👏👏👏👏
Very nice, Admin. "Thanks" has been already send.
I just already want to send pm to you before, regarding this case.
Hahaha, thank you so much, Admin 🙏👏👍👌😘
Nice decision.
AllTalk :
Agree 👌👍👏😘☕.
Nice, Mate

Here's what I'll tell everyone: our administrator is just wonderful!
Everything is correctly and briefly described: starting with the horde of trolls and ending with the attitude to the person on two different forums (diametrically opposite)!
I assure everyone that altcoinstalls will be even better! :)

Thank you admin. Many important things we need to emphasize about this forum. I agree with your opinion. They can just create an account in this forum but it's not easy to create an account that is quality and helps to develop this forum. If they only see the ranking as an assessment, they are very wrong. Experience is the most important thing on this forum. We are here to discuss and there is no difference between newbie and legend. I give positive karma if they make a good contribution to this forum.
-
admin posts are very useful I like this forum because it is more favorable to us, bounty hunters
I hope that the vision mission will continue to be maintained and the success of this forum will increase even more from year to year.
amen
-
this is amazing I read this with a sweet smile because what admin say is true, I felt very pity for the newbie and Jr.member in BTT they got be treated unfair from tymos and friends, newbie account must get 1 merit to be jr.member and need a lot of merit again for the rank, the very limited bounty work for the newbie and Jr.member is very limited, I think all developer crypto must read this thread
altcoinstalks will be a big forum and all bounty / ICO projects will immediately go to altcoinstalks
-
This is something extraordinary. I am very sure that this is the beginning of the development of altcoinstalks. It won't be long before many people will go to this forum to join us and jointly develop the altcoinstalks forum.
-
Lately I was involved as an advisor in few ICO's which has bounty campaigns on BTT forum. All teams were not happy with the result of bounty campaign. There where thousands of participants and literally no investments.
This is so true what Amin is talking about.
Bots, alt accounts, spam, scam, bad managed bounties, bad managers. This is killing ICO's and bounties.
I am sure bounty will evolve into something more useful for the ICO's in the future and will be provided by specialised services because they are not effective anymore in actual state.
-
i was a member for a year but still a newbie.
That can't be true, the merit system only started in January on Bitcointalk. Unless you contributed absolutely nothing to the forum before it was introduced and then suddenly realised that you had to if you wanted to earn through bounties. Not saying that you're entirely wrong, but sounds a bit like sour grapes to me. I am a member on both forums and see benefits (and flaws) in both systems. Both forums offer opportunities to earn through bounties, but the main benefit is giving and receiving value. Altcoinstalks is a much newer forum, and therefore have presumably have been able to learn from mistakes that bitcointalk made, as well as add in additional features that they felt added to the community. All the best.

Thanks for the vital information that every one should know that how altcoinstalks hand many advantages than bitcointalk. I really appreciate the system and it helps better standard forum.

I agree with this post. Definitely almost all users in Bitcointalk have several account which benefit in the bounty programs. But with the recent updates newbies which most likely are new users doesn't have the opportunity to join those bounties.

I for one prefer the system here. Btt is strict and monopolized. As far as bounty projects are concerned, btt has a different sphere from altcointalks, so I see no reason why anyone should complain. Nothing stops anyone from being members in both places.
-
I think here have a new members and crypto beginners a chance to get a good rank.

So truth, veterans over there just found the system how to ban lot of people just for giving newbies a merit. They of course banned both of them ,5000 banned in 10 days.Lot of them for nothing, but veterans knows that Moos has no time to care about it and they do it in purpose.Just to get ther rewards higher.
Nice community there where legends can do what ever they want >:(
-
Why would the bounty participants even complain? It is entirely up to the bounty manager to decide on that. They can promote the project on any forum that they want.
-
This one gives us a good idea of how different it is to stay on a caring forum. I just hope that nothing changes as time goes by. Though we are just a small community as of now but who knows it will become even bigger in the future. Thanks admin for posting this thoughts or ideas, this gives me a lot of encouragement. I don't know the actual date but Happy anniversary anyway. Thanks!
-
I agree with this post, after the introduction of merit it became impossible to rise higher in the account
-
One thing that I ha've in my mind while reading this, btt members are just complaining because they are those in a higher or highest position able to sale merit as much as they can. Altcoinstalk is there great enemy so they need to make a bad report to destroy the image of altcoinstalk and protect there useless merit. Hahaha
-
nó nằm ở đâu vậy? buonty đó

Bitcointalk often blocks accounts, sometimes you do not even understand why you've been blocked ::)
-
But what if our forum members will grow strongly like ten times, with many members it's very difficult to control so I think in the future, rules should be rigorous.
-
I registered in this platform since April . Although I was so very new to forum I couldn't understand the method. But signing back was so easier for me to catch up. The forum is good and I hope we try to maintain decorum.

I can assure that this statement is true!
On Bitcointalk there is a war against bounties. Indeed you should be carefully on what you post because you can receive a red trust without knowing why!
-
Is it possible for us to join bounty in bitcointalk using our altcointalk account is it possible,
-
As some people are unaware of the bounty system in bitcoins and ALT coins, this article is perfect for them to understand the bounty system and the bounty rates. People are made aware of the ranks of both bitcoin bounties and ALTcoin bounties so that they dont confused while buying. Thanks for letting us know about bounties
-
Hi i am looking for a bounty manager ive never used a forum total noob, hope i am not posting in the wrong place.
-
Immediately the introduction of merit came up in bitcointalk, ranking up became impossible, and participating is campaigns became more difficult. Its only the higher rank members of bitcointalk forum that enjoys the stay there, there's no more fun there for me. :-\
Altcoinstalk with new move for its members. Am in for it. ;D
-
Drawing the attention that the people bounties on altcoinstalk is good. I have a a bitcoin talks id but many people added by the bitcointalk forum. So it bounties handel to hard. But altcoinstalk bounties is easy. Causes of this project working easily and rapidly.
-
Bounties is easy way in the forum. Bitcointalk bounties handel was easily earning sites. More altcoinstalk bounties handel . i have a no ideas.

I am very much amazed by your thoughts and I must suggest all the other crypto forums to follow this procedure. Those who are good contributors must get their rewards from time to time. Number 7 and 8, I love those number in this forum. As far as we know, many scam projects come to us. And nice idea to filter it before investor+bounty hunter faces their project. I am requesting you to create more and more threads like this.
-
You are right and explicit in your statement there was no ambiguity in your statement. Thanks admin for the candid opinion and it clearly makes sense, most people on competitive forums are just selfish they only want to benefit while others suffer. This is the kind of forum we need to make cryptosphere attractive to all.
-
Very well explained, this is a must read for the bounty hunters who complains about the bounty allocation being the same as btt. I fully support this forum by now because the visionary approach having a great time here as well.
-
But the question I have to ask concerning this issues here is can we use our Altcoinstalks forum profile link to participate in bounty on bitcointalk forum can they except it
-

Effectively yes you can participate in signature bounties via bct an report posts there etc, the bounty does not have to exclusively be managed here (even if it's better when it is). Forum advertising bounties are however not advised: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=111857.0

BitcoinTalk is great example of a ring of mutual adoration.
They don't like strangers, badly for promoting blockchain over the world.
They deleting threads without any explanations, giving Red trust for nothing and then focus on one bad opinion as a serious recommendation
-
Let Bitcoiontalk be crazy with all their own troublesome rules (merit, IP incident, behave cruelly with member's account ...) while censorship, spam, multi-account issues problems .. are still going on. This is really a good opportunity for the forum AltcoinsTalks to develop and dominate the market. We just need to do the best we can, and let our opponents die on their mistakes.
I translated and posted topic in our Vietnamese local forum:

Thank Admin for an amazing article <3

Ranking up in bitcointalk is like punching a moon, almost impossible and the merit system is a bad greeting for new members that is planning to do bounties. Thank god this forum is created.

This forum is just better but has some disadvantages as low activity comparing with BTT and also (almost) no signature bounty.
-
I did not understand what was needed to increase my rating. Explain, please.
-
I don't know what's the difference about the two forums when it comes to bounties but I did join a bounty project years ago on BTT. Members should not complain about the difference of rewards since it is beyond control by both forums.
As for the merit, that totally sucks. I think I stopped being active on BTT when they implemented that merit system. The ranking is too hard than playing mobile legends! Not all would want to give you merit even if they have plenty of it.
-
I did not understand what was needed to increase my rating. Explain, please.
What do you mean with "rating"? your account rank?
Just keep posting, then your rank will increase once it reaches certain numbers of activities.
No need to worry about merit, there is no merit system here.
Just look at the number of activity that you must achieve below :
0 activity = Newbie
1-4 activity = 1st step
5-40 activity = Baby Steps
46-130 activity = Jr. Member
136-300 activity = Full Member
312 activity = Sr. Member
700 activity = Hero Member
1200 activity = Legend
5000-6000 activity = Mythical
-
I forgot this forums when I joined because of that Bitcointalk. I am back here again so I wil be spending more time on Altcointalks forums. In bitcointalk forum they do what they want without any reason.
-
Nice to participate in bounties here or there. I am a new member Will take time for me to participate here
-

Probably not only you but a lot of people don't like the Merit system of BitcoinTalk, me neither. This aims to limit spam & abuse of the forum, but inadvertently, it makes a lot of members lose the motivation to discuss or contribute, especially members from non-English speaking communities.
With AltcoinsTalks, we have a system of censorship and blocking of duplicate accounts, we welcome every new member & give them the opportunity to rank-up & participate in many bounty campaigns, which is really cool & profitable!
However, as far as I can see, many bounty managers share less stake/token for AltcoinsTalks community than BitcoinTalk community, I hope they will consider more in the future :)
-
And I would like to make a small contribution to what was said in the op regarding bounty on Bitcointalk especially the altcoin bounties,
in bitcointalk it is very easy for some scam project to run a bounty and then run away or refuse to pay the hunters because of their cook up excuses and the Bitcointalk admins are not doing anything to protect the members of the forum from such misconduct, they are only interested in btc paying campaigns,
they will do anything to make sure those btc paying campaigns don't get to screw hunters over and ensure they get paid, but altcoin hunters are left to the mercy of the project team whether they get paid or not is not their concern.
I hope altcoinstalks will have a way of protecting hunters and ensure scam project don't get away with screwing hunters over by not paying them what is due to them.

I did not understand what was needed to increase my rating. Explain, please.
Bitcointalk is better than altcointalk.
-
I totally agree with you , the ranking there in bitcoin talk is so hard to get , i make useful posts and topics but in same time i dont get any merits that im expecting to get and this is so disappointing and somehow , " waste of time and effort for me ".
-
Bitcointalk is better than altcointalk.
For old members maybe, but For newcomers, a lot of them will say Altcointalk is much better.
If you say Bitcointalk is better, you can try it by yourself and you will realize the truth

That's why many newcomers come here. The reason is the same as yours

Good experience to use !!!

Yes i agree with you in BTT it is almost impossible for users to rank up.Only the moderators and very old users with upper rank gets the merits. They dont always give merits to the new users. So i left bitcointalk and started usin Altcointalk regularly and very happy with this platform.

I feel relieve on this statement.
Thanks Admin for speaking on behalf of us.
Those members who are playing 10 to 20 higher rank accounts are real winners there. Probably, they are winners in terms of favored safe from merit system, get almost profitable bounties with Btc or Eth payment, and so on. They are really a winners.
Some of them complaint why the payment between Btt and ALTT is the same because they cannot accept the fact that " there is a place like a home in ALTT." WOULD LIKE TO EXCUSE THOSE HIGHER RANK WHO REALLY WORK HARD TO RANK UP, they are worthy to complain. I hope they join us here.

and also the most funny thing in that and what i have noticed , lot of members are friends and they are exchanging merit systems so they can rank up , this is not fair at all

I understand. I'm on the Bitcoin forum. There are a lot of fights all the time. Users there continue to misbehave with small accounts. Small rank never lets go up. I think this forum is friendly.

Let's move on from that. ;)
As you can see and feel this forum creates a friendly environment. Hope to maintain that as we progress. :D ;D

I think you already said it all. I'm a member of the two forum and I know how it works perfectly. You've already explained how it works in BUT. It's like a pyramid, only those at the top enjoys. Even when you merit a point, it will be hard to give you because of some reasons best know to them.

Altcointalk forum will win, people love friendly forum that they can grow together.. For new members in bitcointalk, they can't grow up because the rules are so ........
In 1 or 2 years Many people will leave Bitcointalk and join in Altcointalk

I love the moderator here than the bitcointalk moderator and this is also a good side of this forum..
Keep make this forum friendly, community is so much important

They despise the bounty hunters even though they also contribute to the development of the community. They discriminate against us because we are bounty hunters, they will never give their merit.
You are very correct. They don't about the bounty hunters and the bounty hunters are actually contributing to the platform. They are relevant just because they are the first. I just want to find my ways here to have a better forum feeling.

I totally agree with your comment, the moderators here are still friendly and willing to accept people who don't fully understand the crypto world or the forum world, and from there the forum will continue to grow.

Boss, we have been abandoned here by some of these greedy bounty admins that care so much about their pocket. we have been abandoned here because many considered this place like a second hand zone where people try cheating each other. please step in.

From what I can see, there are quite a few bounties currently active on the forum, and no bounty manager has left this forum or stopped bringing bounties, except Small Rabbit, who disappeared several weeks ago with $25,000. The rest of the bounty managers keep bringing in bounties from what I see. As for cheats, it is another question, the actions you would take to solve the problem are useless if there is no common will on the part of the forum community.

What challenges did you face when working for Bounty? When working with the company for the first time .

The challenges, as you call them, are not difficult jobs or anything special. Actually, they are usually very simple tasks such as sharing on social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Reddit... In many bounties you can also write articles explaining what the project is about and using the signature in forums, the latter is usually one of the better paid jobs. When you can visit this section: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=22.0 and you will see many examples.

i have a sr. member in bct however after the merit system they banned my account without any explanation, bct is one of the forum for bounty hunter and it pays well with the signature program, bct user back on 2017-2018, now i am back to zero again and i just came back here in altt to seek same opportunity back in 2017-2018 in bct

This practice is very common among BCT moderators. Since the merit system was implemented a few years ago, thousands of user accounts have been banned who had not violated the rules at any time. The problem is not only users with multiple accounts (something that could be fixed with an IP scanning bot, since most of them don't even know how to use proxies or VPNs to hide their real IP), the problem is that the moderators have been well paid for a while and that's all they care about, and now they only care about giving merits to the most popular users. The question is the same as always... Who watches the watchman?.

What particularly stands out to me is your emphasis on the importance of genuine contribution and engagement on AltcoinsTalks. It's refreshing to hear that the ranking system is tied directly to meaningful contributions, rather than arbitrary metrics or loopholes. This not only ensures a fairer distribution of rewards but also fosters a more vibrant and authentic community.
The level of care and attention to detail in safeguarding against fraudulent activities, such as multiple accounts and bots, is commendable. It speaks volumes about AltcoinsTalks' commitment to maintaining integrity within its ecosystem.
Additionally, your proactive approach to promoting and supporting bounty projects sets a positive example for other forums to follow. By actively engaging with and amplifying the reach of these projects, AltcoinsTalks demonstrates a genuine interest in the success of its members and their endeavors.
Overall, it's clear that AltcoinsTalks provides a conducive environment for bounty campaigns to thrive, offering both increased exposure and a higher level of accountability. It's no wonder that many projects are finding greater success and visibility on your platform.
Thank you for shedding light on these important distinctions and for championing a more meritocratic approach to community engagement and reward distribution. It's discussions like these that drive positive change and innovation within the crypto space!

I couldn't agree more with you..
BTT forum is friendly behavior, if you have more knowledge source then surely you can root others. In btt forum one has to proceed with intelligence, here only posting rank up the account, but earning btt forum Merit then changes.
-
I totally agree with your comment, the moderators here are still friendly and willing to accept people who don't fully understand the crypto world or the forum world, and from there the forum will continue to grow.
There are all advantages and disadvantages and they are all good in my opinion.
That's right, I'm also very happy to be here because all of us who have done Teleported Rank also all received good and warm treatment from the moderator.
Many have done it and this is also responded positively from some of the comments I read about this forum and the traffic is also increasing day by day.

I find one thing different between bounties on Bitcoin forums and Altcoin forums. The projects are completely the same and only the level of payment is different, 70% of the payment is made in bitcoin talk and 30% of the payment is given in the Altcoin forum within 100%. Because all the signature projects that are going on have distributed it according to popularity. I really like this approach and every manager is very nice and knowledgeable and honest.

There are many other differences that you will understand if you directly enter the two forums. Bitcoin forums have the highest influx of managers and Bitcoin forums have more experienced members

Interesting observation. It makes sense that Bitcoin forums would offer a higher percentage due to the popularity and stability of BTC. Altcoin forums likely attract a different crowd, so the payment structure reflects that. As long as the distribution is fair and transparent, it's a solid approach.
