Title: Do you trust ICO rating sites?
Post by: princessgirl on September 27, 2018, 04:17:51 AM
The trust level of ICO rating sites have dwindled of late. Many ICOs pay for good ratings in order to attract the attention of investors. I don't thrive on ICO ratings in choosing the right ICOs. Always make a personal research on the project by reading the whitepaper, website and visiting the social media accounts of the project for coherence of information provided.

I honestly don't believe in ico rating, why? because a lot of ico rating events are small but the project is hardcap, and many are also rated high, but the project isn't hardcap,
here I conclude, that sometimes a good project is not from the ico ranking, but it might be from another point of view.

some of them I believe but I will compare this with other information because this will increase my confidence in the ICO

don't believe 100% but you use ico rating to find data and information from a project to make sure we invest, so it's not enough just by web rating but we also have to look at other information. because trusting the ico web rating now is not really accurate

This is another way to trap potential investors so that scammers can get huge money easily from them. It is individual duty to search and find out the legit ICO.

No, I do not trust the ratings on the sites, since any crypto project can buy a rating for its ICO on these sites. A lot of cases associated with this were in crypto. They specifically promote the project for their own benefit.

I do not always believe in the Ico rating site, because often I see good Ico ratings but it turns out that the project is not as good as that stated on the rating site. but sometimes there is also an Ico rating that matches the reality. But there are also a few Ico ratings that only trap people into it and finally they lose their money.

I do trust them to a certain extend though even like what you say they are being bribe. The best is still doing your own research, you can compare with a few ICO benchmark site to verify the authenticity of the grading by the ICO rating sites.

No, I do not believe them, and I do not advise you. since they are deceivers, they do not do analysis, they just rewrite what they say, do not trust them, conduct your own analytics

There are paid ICO sites and some are not. If they allow a third party to review a certain ICO on their review site, then that would increase their credibility.

I do not like some ICO review sites like livemetre, they would send someon to ICO projects on telegram with a script like "I would like to invest but I want to know why your rating on livemetre is low".

I want to know if there is a legal umbrella for ico as often ico fraud occurs to investors and that happens a lot

Totally agree. So many people try to promote some coins that have no value and no future that it's hard to understand what is really worthy.
I also check everything myself. If you want to get some income from crypto - always learn and don't believe anyone.

Not really, since many good rating ico ended with not reaching softcap, the one i trust is my gut and my research. But rating site is a good media to creating a hype for a project

I want to believe this, but I can't believe it because of what I've witnessed.I love the Ico system and I'm hopeful about it, but having a lot of crooks hurts my trust in the system.

I believe the icorating sites, I mean the goody ones that will give fair and no biased opinion,  because most of the time they are right and  create a good vibes about the project. I've been bookmarking them, but I checked how they form their opinion.

Look at the ratings of ICO, it's a waste of time. If you want to know something about the project, then read their white paper and look for information about the project from people who are also interested in this project.

I don't trust ratings like you. I can only trust myself, my research, information in the communities. I don’t know which parameters select certain listings for setting ratings.

Lately, I have completely stopped trusting ICO. It is now easier to wait for it to finish and calmly buy certain coins at a reduced price already on the stock exchange

Maybe I only trust information from the team and advisors. Not all of me believe in the ico appraisal site. they can pay to get a high rating.

as far as I know, there is no legal umbrella for ICO, but for fraud there is
it's just that those who want to arrest the ICO scam don't exist, or maybe they can't even be tracked, because the ICO project can be done anywhere, even if it's in the middle of a forest.
because only photos and videos are enough, and good management.

So true. Now the ICO is increasingly in demand by investors because there are many dead projects and scams. That is very detrimental. So my advice is the same as yours before investing in ICOs, you should carefully research the Project. Always make personal research about the project by reading white books, websites and visiting social media accounts from the project for the coherence of the information provided. That's all, hope you succeed if you want to invest.

This complicated because some ICO,s come up with a concept initially and they are rated very high and reliable but as times goings on these term not to keep to concept and you have no one to hold for your investment
