Baidu search engine, also known as" Chinese Google", has released a whitepaper network system called"Super Chain".

Baidu Blockchain Lab released withpaper dedicated to the "independent development of blockchain-network "Super Chain". The paper presents the idea of commercializing the Baidu blockchain platform in addition to six applications based on Super Chain: Totem, Degree Universe, Baidu Association, Treasure Chest, Encyclopedia Online, and Hubert.
According to whitepaper, "Baidu's Super Chain will be more efficient than the traditional blockchain, which works with a higher degree of hardware utilization." According to Baidu, " Super Chain nodes use multi-core parallel computing to maximize CPU usage and increase throughput." The company explains:
Super Chain is a stereo network that supports parallel sidechains. There is a root chain [of blocks] that governs the parallel chains and operating guidelines of the entire network, which supports communication with each sidechain.
Super Chain is working on what is called a "plug-in consensus mechanism." The Super Chain network, according to whitepaper, allows various parallel sidechains to choose their own consensus mechanisms. The development also supports " agreed escalation through the voting mechanism."
Whitepaper says Baidu will focus on the application of technology in food safety, product quality, retail, new production, supply chain financing, intellectual property, trade, travel, tourism, and social media.
Super Chain's modular services will include certification, digital rights, clearing and settlement scenarios, supply chain Finance, digital assets and games. In June, the Chinese Internet giant was eyeing the use of its Super Chain Protocol in the context of reducing energy consumption in cryptocurrency mining.
