So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

Just forget about them for few months and then come back again once Bitcoin has stabilized. But remember don't panic sell. Its not just you who lost his crypto portfolio value but almost everyone. Only the hodlers get rewarded in the end.

Many people have the same situation as you, in a different way. Spend more time studying value, losing the psychology of speculation, and returning to the value coin. If I were in your position, I would wait until December before deciding to sell. You have waited long already for a market recovery, 2-3 mos. ain't that long.

Man, you are not alone in this almost all of us are in the same situation, out of the 4 coins you mentioned I believe 3 of them is really strong and you should keep holding you already waited for that much so it's not gonna hurt to wait a little longer.
Think about it that way, the only worst scenario than the one you are in right now is if you sell now, I think that most of this coins are already at the bottom it's really hard to get lower than this! If you sell after all this wait and market started to turn around.....

You made a point that you should have maintained the boring and traditional way of investing. Should you have done that, wouldn't you have had the patience to wait? It's barely a year since you invested into cryptocurrencies and you are here complaining? FOMO got you into this "mess" don't let FUD take away the only hope you have of regaining what you've lost.

just wait bro, keep believing in what you hold now, according to the news circulating, bullrun will happen again, it's just that this year's bullrun isn't as great as last year, so stay optimistic :) if you don't believe what you hold, then who else ? so just wait and don't panic :)

I lost my 75% asset to, what I do?
i'm cutting lost for several coin with no dev,gain and progress.
and i'm buying new coin with new algo, new tech, new development, also have good developer and advisor team.
and for now several my asset has recovered. and i'm confident can get profit this year

It is just a paper lost since you didn't convert it into fiat, just hold it and forget.

If you dont sell it you still not lose it. So thats why before invest we must choose the right time when we gonna invest and sorry for your condition. I am very sorry to hear it too. But if i see that you invest in the top rank cryptocurrency like ripple, cardano, etc. Dont need to be afraid. Cause they are a good coin. Just forget your investment for a while and recheck them every 2 weeks. Give them time to grow up

If you dont need the money just hold it, let your money comeback and grow, its too early to decide whether to sell or not. Theres a lot of time just hold it!

If you are not sure, do not be too pushy to keep your coins and stay there. You should move and invest in coins other than that. You can go to potential coins like Ethereum and Bitcoin. There if you are professional in managing it, then you will not lose and get the maximum profit.

In crypto, you do not lose until you sell. I think you should follow actively the communities of these various projects and know what's going on with them. You might also want to wait till December before you take a final decision on your portfolio. $11K is a lot of money go down the drain, but give it some time and wait a bit. Some of these coins you mentioned have done some little price movements within the period, so it's a good idea to monitor them and know when it's fair to sell at maybe minimal loss, if you know what I mean.

The value of crypt money is at the bottom level. I'm not likely to drop more than that. Wait until the end of 2018 and make your decision.
