It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.

Unfortunately this is 100% true.. there are too many project that are pure scam even if they are built well and only expert people with lots of experience can discover fraud easily..this is not good for ICO market and for Ethereum and I think this is one of main causes for ETH low price in this period. :( :(

Some project end up to dead due to not enough numbers of supporters.

Do not be too sad due to scam coins. Cheer up, in it lies a learning curve that if taken very well can make people better.
In fact, due to their exploits and mischief, the crypto community is coming together to defraud and unmask these so called scammers at first sight.

Hi, let me clear this uncertainty a few people said that all ICO is a trick however I don't trust them since I have put resources into some ICO and influence a favorable luck, to give me a chance to give you some piece of information to contribute.

This will make new people or new investor afraid to invest their money because they only send the money without any return and this is bad for the cryptocurrency in the future. I hope that we can stop this forever so people can invest with safety but this is difficult since we don't know which ICO's that is legit and although we are research on their project, still, it cannot help a lot.

I agree, scam is everywhere. There are a lot of coins now a days and so bad to know that some of them are used by scammers who wants an instant profit by an easy and smooth way. Hence we must be careful all the the time inorder for us and to our money to be safety. It will be better before that entering the world of crypto, we have the knowledge and do our own research.

I was also saddened by the existence of a scam project but not all of them were scams. Think of it as a lesson for us, don't be discouraged. before joining the project we must be able to understand and research the project how it is developing

Actually it can't be beaten flat that all coins are a scam. Because there are many coins that have entered the market place but not much in demand. That's where the coin is considered dead or a scam because it doesn't have an increase in supply.

Not all ico scams. there are still many ico who are successful. it's just that what I saw this year was a lot of ico that failed due to the decline in the crypto market.

Yes so thats why you must help the newbie to be careful before joining some scam coins.
You can check them from their roadmap, their advisor, their teammate, their product. if they are anymous better not to join them cause a lot of anymous coin is scam.
and you can check their website too if the website is ugly or so simple better not join them too.

I am very upset because many ICOs continue to commit fraud against investors, I wonder why there are no precautions against these ICO Scams ?, as many ICO rating sites make recommendations and give good ratings on the ICO Scam, I think this is very sad and sucks.

To know a scam project and not paying is actually very easy and very simple, we can see it from tread or even from the website and also their social media accounts have no updates or updated information about their projects. but there are also projects that always update the results of their coin sales but at the end of the ICO project they often update information about their failed projects even though the number of investors is very large and the number of tokens or coins ico they sell exceeds the token sales target they set but they argued that their project failed because the main account or the main wallet that accommodated their Ethereum or Bitcoin balance was hacked by someone else.

Agree and this is one of the reason why people are afraid to invest in ICOs project due to ramphant scamming and even bounty hunters are afraid to participate in some bounty campaigns because its just wasting of time and effort.

You are right. Since scams mostly come from ICO projects, we need tighter regulation on ICOs. However, we have already had the solution right now. Have you read about STO (Security Token Offering)? This type of token sale will be safer for investors.

It is indeed very sad, these people could use their energy to build something good and earn a lot more. These guys are killing the crypto development and squeezing new investment, so people need to learn and evolve in order to defend themselves and make these scams worthless... there is also the fact that not everyone is ready to manage their own finances, so we need more places like this forum, for sharing info and learn...

That's why.., I have only taken advantage of free "airdrops". I plan to buy in to some coins in the near future, but I generally do so after they hit the exchanges and the values are meSPAM BANble with some history

Yes there has been supposedly many fake or scam coin/token out there. After the last market boom, many fake projects and scam coins/token came up to scam alot of people. Although the rate of this scam projects have reduced but we still see some of them in different form this days.

Get used to it. Until a draft of proper regulation set into this era then it will continue to happened. People have tendency to scam newbies in this aspect so be careful whom youre dealing as always.

It is correct. It needs a regulation to avoid scammers/fraudsters and to make investors feel secure. I also think if this continues without a change, then investors will leave ICOs and never believe again to ICOs. It is a warning for ICOs, It needs a change as soon as possible.

Yes, there are a lot of cheats nowadays. Many ICO projects do not work properly, they only use the situation to get a big profit. This is indeed very dangerous, especially for people who are new to Bitcoin. this needs to be watched out.
