Just like an account where one's fiat currencies are kept so also is wallet where digital assets or cryptocurrencies of crypto lovers are kept. Can the wallet be vulnerable to hacking and if possible how can that happen? If you have experienced it before, I want to learn from your experience.

It all depends on what kind of wallet you use. I choose MetaMask and cold wallets. Also recently released MEWconnect application with a high level of security. I have not yet had a single case of hacking.

The mew was once hacked. It happened due to server's DNS error and the security of the MEW wallet was poor. I recommend using Metamask or Mewconnect.

I think there will always be enthusiasts who can hack a particular wallet, and no matter what. And I mean just to crack and not just get someone's private key!

Yes, hacking is possible even you have the super hardware wallet, these hackers create bots, apps that might deceive you to give your paraphrase or keywords. You have the control of your assets but you have to be extra careful.

Yeah, it is possible. Especially for exchange wallets. That is why you don't ever think to store all your coins on exchange wallet. For the safest wallet, I agree with MetaMask. MetaMask has higher protection for our coins, I also recommend it to you.

A wallet can be hacked, but it requires some kind of carelessness from the wallet owner too, I think if you upload a private key or password on some phishing links or store your data in some unsafe places online, your wallet can be hacked. The point is that hackers can hack because of the carelessness of the users themselves in addition to the presence of bugs in the wallet.

Many wallets have been hacked already. This is mainly due to the owners carelessness. Hacks were done from phishing sites, downloading applications, emails, etc.

i believe its posible realy realy posible i my self realy realy confuse my self is that my wallet and another account password save ? or people alredy know that because they want to wait the right time to wait . malware and thing like that growing fast af there even a malware or virus not rember that wil infected you just by click pops up So who know

Of course it is very possible, we all know that the biggest problem with wallets is security, even though all security features have been activated but this has never stopped hacking cases.

Yes it is possible even your cold wallets is also hackable if you store your private key and seed phrase in your computer. Keep everything safe, be careful on the site that you click.

It's very possible that our wallet was hacked by someone else if we don't keep our private key in a very safe place. Because they can steal our data by using phishing methods via email or web links that are distributed. So never open a foreign and suspicious web.

Absolutely possible, hacker can steal private key with phising, dns leak, or wallet site compromised with hacker. So I suggest to use hardware wallet

I dont believe that hackers reach any cold wallet but there are so many wallet up for phones or computers. And if developers of these wallet's create a back door before publish it, its not hard to hack it. Also I trust hardware wallets(like Ledger) but for me the best choice is keep in paper cold storage(if you dont move your coins too much)

Yeah it's possible to hack your wallet but you can minimize the risk if you will use metamask or cold wallet. Also you need to place your private keys in a safe place and avoid those phishing sites.

Yes it could be possible due to DNS technology errors.. Many a times mew wallet is hacking, many mistaker put private key in public it is the another hacking issue...

of course. Wallets are only a software as blockchain itself. And I can assure you that anything which is created as Softwares can be hackable. Some of them are hard to hack and some of them not, but there is always a chance for a hacking in this area.

Only cold and paper wallets are truly safe from hackers, otherwise hardware wallets and good op sec can save you getting hacked.

Yes, wallet hacking is very possible and our accounts are very vulnerable to hackers. My aunt had experienced this, she sent his MEW address and private keys through the online messaging to his husband and kids just to be sure that she has extra copies, but three hours after she received her tokens from the bounties she has joined, the tokens were no longer in her account. So lesson learned after that. Dont send it to online messaging and dont click on any sites or links that are unfamiliar, these may be phishing sites.

yes of course that is very possible because it might happen because some cases some time ago there was an ERC20 platfone wallet that was hacked, by doing phishing which means the victim will enter with the private key that is owned and think it is the original website but the article is phishing or fake websites that eventually make a wallet hacked.

Possibly the web wallets and some of wallets that explores your system and encrypt your files to get some information. last year someone hacked my wallet, no one knows my private key or user and pass but my wallet got empty so possibly some of applications that we installing in our pc.

in experience and what the other said, hacker uses pishing sites. and if you open that site they will know all the info in you phone, app etc. so thet can access you wallet easily. and another, the private key do not give to anyone your private key or else all of you holdings in your wallet will be banish. so secure your private. and stay sharp there a scammer/hacker anywhere

Hacking of wallet is possible if you will do mistake like when you fill up a form instead of public address you give your Private key,because hackers are very smart they are making airdrop to loot private key and be aware to the airdrops and emails that is asking for a private key,MEW wallet is 100% safe that's why their is a advise don't expose it to other people and keep your Private key in a safe storage or make a paper wallet to make sure your Private key not lost.

It is very possible specially if the owner of the wallet doesn't have a proper orientation on how to make the wallet in always safe condition.

Depends on the security of the wallet you have here. If indeed the wallet is safe as well as Myetherwallet or other hardware wallets, most likely the hackers will have difficulty in stealing it. Because the strength and security of the wallet is very good and evident by other users.

No system is safe. Everything is possible, sometimes hackers will try everything to get into some system even it's not resulting financial benefit so I believe they work on crypto wallet too.

Yes, it is possible. In my case they first have hacking my pc. After that, they changes my passwords and stole my keys. Allmost all of my coins are gone.

I dont have enough information about deep web so i can not tell you wallet can be hacked or not. But i have one experience about this subject and i want to share. When pchain made ico, they warned people dont send eth to take coin if your kyc didnt approved. But you know the people, they send eth and automatically pchain coins came to their wallet because of smart contract. After ico finish pchain company started to take coin back from people who have not approved kyc. If this can be done so easily i can say wallets can be hacked. My suggestion is use ledger to protect your money.

Everything is possible that is why there is the need to be extra careful. Due to high technology in the system there are tools for that, read carefully and be vigilant or else you might fall as a victim. Some come in the form of email,telegram messages etc

Maybe hacking the wallet might happen if we are not smart at choosing a wallet. We do it must be careful. Because now hackers are ready to defeat us. But for my wallet I think it's safe, and so far I've never heard of one type of wallet being hacked.

I actually have never heard of a wallet ever hacked by hackers. But so far everything depends on our own choice of wallet. Usually a good and safe hardware wallet, maybe a Myetherwallet wallet might be. This is a nice and safe line of wallets than hackers.

Yes I think the wallet can be hacked, but it is because of the carelessness of the wallet owner too, I think if you upload a private key or password on some phishing links and you store your data in some insecure places online, then your wallet will be with easy to hack. The point is that hackers can hack because of the carelessness of the users themselves.

Looking at the complain of other people it looks like it can be hacked but I have not experience such a thing but I think that there should be a high level of cyber security to prevent hackers not to have access to all the online wallet.

Yes I think wallet hacking is possible. I think every online transactions can be hacked. But We must be carreful to keep the private key.

I usually save assets on myethetwallet.com and there were hacked by irresponsible people. I have experienced all of my assets affected by the hack, maybe because I was using it for the first time. To keep it from being hit again I almost rarely do transactions through the private key because it is very vulnerable to hacking

Yes it is possible that wallet hacking is possible and I experienced that my wallet had been hack. My waves wallet had been hack and all of my transactions have loss because of that hacker.

For the safest wallet, I agree with MetaMask. MetaMask has higher protection for our coins, I also recommend it to you.

from my experience it can be hacked when the hacker knows your private keys however it is possible if you have downloaded a virus from your computer

It really depends on what you consider a wallet, there is a hardware wallet, web wallet, paper wallet, etc... each with own characteristics and level of risk. There are also desktop wallets that you need to download and install... in these cases you need to really trust the project as wallets can be dangerous software...

I think hacking a wallet is pretty easy. Even experienced users are hacked. My wallet was stolen once. I was very upset. There was a lot of cryptocurrency. I can not describe my condition. I do not advise you to panic while opening a wallet. Do not install anything on your browser.

I always believe that there is no security that is truly safe.
so whatever the wallet is, it can definitely be hit by a hacker attack,
we might not be able to prevent it, but at least we can minimize it.

Unfortunately, It is possible. Some problems have occured until now. Yes it is one of the safest wallet but it is also suit for hack. I hope no one ever has to experience such a bad thing.

Totally possible and many friends of mine have been hacked too. The process of hacking is hackers will send you some suspicious links, when you click into that link, a virus will attack your computer and exploit the private key to them. So if someone send you a strange link, remember don’t click that links

My wallet in crypto has been hack I think this are the reason why my wallet has been hack. First I join in many airdrops and I don't know when or where did I go to a phising sites. And some times I going to a website that not very secured and I'm typing all my credential especially my private information in wallet. Now I create anther wallet to be more secured I just use this wallet as a bank of my all crypto and not for a transactions.

100% possible if you exploit your private key to the hacker. For me I’m currently using trezor to store my Bitcoin. Only access it when I need to sell.

I recently try as main wallets Exodus and Atomic wallets. Really good option, simple and reliable. Also i trade on decentralized exchange Etherium.com (http://Etherium.com) i was really surprised when i found out that i can trade directly from my metamask wallet.

Is very possible, if one gets a hold of your private keys then they can access all of your crypto or wallet. It is not good for us to leave our assets on any exchange so that it will not be hack by the attackers.
