Title: How to protect yourself and others from scammers?
Post by: Zsangx12 on September 30, 2018, 10:32:40 AM
Hello everybody .
 Tell us, how do you recognize the scammers? I've met a lot of fraudulent projects and I can say that I learned by bitter experience, but every day it's more difficult to distinguish a good project from scammers.We do not want to lose our money and do not waste time in the empty, participating in the companies bounty.

I learned about crypto currency in early 2017 on TV. Then, I could not imagine that my bought tokens would soar.
  Last year there were a lot of scammers, but this year is even worse. Now every second project is fraudulent. Now you should not participate in the sale of tokens. The probability of a scam is high.

I am sure there have been a plethora of identical or at least similar questions than this one before, so sometimes its useful to reach for a search button. But yes, you cant never be completely certain about the project and its legitimacy, just try to do as much research as you are able to do and combine the findings with findings of other potential investors. If there are major red flags, avoid the project at all costs.

Hard to defined real scam at the first stage of the project because honestly, sometimes they are more looking good as real project than the legit one. Very hard. However, you can defined them before the end. This is not always but sometimes. Be more careful and watchful.

if you are not smart to research it, maybe you can only participate in gifts that are managed by managers who have a good and trusted reputation. so you don't waste time researching, but all that remains at risk, whether a scam or failing to reach the target.

I always try to find feedbacks about the service on different forums.
I don't believe reviews that are placed under the offer as people learned the fact that they can build a good image of their product placing good reviews themselves and deleting all the negative ones.
But even that will not fully work as there's always a chance to get into trap.

In addition, these are some of the ways to protect yourself and others from scammers:

1.Proper search: embarking on any project required a very thorough search from various site, eg social media, various forums, and also news or even contacting friends and colleagues.

2.Keep your personal details secure. Put a lock on your mailbox and other important documents before throwing them out. Keep your passwords and pin numbers in a safe place. Be very careful about how much personal information you share on social media sites. Scammers can use your information and pictures to create a fake identity or to target you with a scam.

You shouldn't believe the next man first of all.
Then you should attentively check the person or service you've found. Try to ask for proves in order to protect yourself.
There's so much scam around us that it's really hard to believe anyone.

the way to avoid a scam ico is by choosing a good ico. but that is not an easy thing because we have to really understand ico well before joining. we can judge an ico through the whitepaper because in it we can see a lot of information about ico that will be followed.

most scamers don't want to be seen by the public, restrict themselves, and social media doesn't update.
for example, scam projects never post such as seminars, or the latest steps, or videos about CEOs and their teams or videos about the benefits and objectives of the project.

There's only one rule to follow to protect yourself from the cheaters. "NEVER GIVE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS" whatever happens do not let your keys stole by anyone by whatever means it maybe. Protect it by simply putting some security tools to enhance the protection of your keys.

I look at the team and especially at founders. Everyone today has a social network profile, and if we see in whitepapper that founder was working with some project for a long time but we could not find enough information about that project in social media, that means that either this founder has a small experience in advertising his project or this project even did not exist. So I try to avoid projects like this.

There is no guarantee that you will never be scammed despite your due diligence. I agree with you that it is getting harder to spot a scam or fraudulent ICO. If you can verify the identity of the team and if they can provide a prototype product, that is a good sign that they are serious and legit

actually it is difficult to avoid scammers exactly. but we can make it true. Analyze the ICO exactly from the concept, team, and also community. Check and cross check them. It is important to be more careful.

I usually see from the team, website, whitepaper and the concept of the project that you want to develop, you should see the team's condition as best as possible and make sure the team has expertise that is very guaranteed.

Now scammers have become more inventive.I believe that the ICO market has not outlived its usefulness. If the team is aimed at a good result,it should follow a few simple principles:
1) Real profiles of team members on the site,with links to profiles in social networks. Moreover, these people should be active and regularly update the information in the profile (photos,videos);
2) Regular maintenance and updating of information about the company on social networks(Reddit,Facebook,Twitter);
