Title: Why governments ban Bitcoin?
Post by: Domithra on September 30, 2018, 06:40:11 PM
The reason given by the governments pertaining to the ban of Bitcoin in some countries is that Bitcoin is anonymous and not regulated. With this, it is involved in a lot of illegal activities such as terrorism funding, drug trafficking, money laundering etc. But the question, was drug ttrafficking and terrorism funding not in existence even before the creation of Bitcoin in 2009?
The governments are only afraid that Bitcoin gives more power to the people as they get to control their own financial transactions.

This illegal transaction/activity is exist before Bitcoin created, the reason of government banned Bitcoin is like what you say, government don't wanna if that activity become easier because they use Bitcoin, because we can't track the transaction history. But in my opinion, though without bitcoin they can do a illegal activity as like you say, so this is isn't good reason to banned bitcoin, even if we can use bitcoin with good, we can get the something big or good impact.
I hope the government can legalize bitcoin, because this can make us become easier to use bitcoin and can make it to be our part time job.

I agree with you man. Illegal activity exist before Bitcoin created. Don't fully blame Bitcoin to those reason.
I think government still consider Bitcoin to legalize. Many factor such as huge fluctuative price. And I think, many bank feel threated by present of Bitcoin.

I think this happens because the value of bitcoin itself is not stable and sure. but always moving and changing. and this sort of thing will certainly be difficult. In addition, the Government doesn't support for its centralized so there is no Government of interfering in it. and this feared would provoke the existence of an individual monopoly.

it is absolutely true that the government is very afraid of bitcoin for all these reasons, even though before the creation of bitcoin there were already terrorists, but I think with the existence of bitcoin it will be easier for terrorists to conduct transactions.

The possibility of difficulty is the government to monitor the financial situation and situation of Bitcoin. On the other hand it could also be that criminals make transactions in Bitcoin so that they are not caught by the authorities. On the other hand also economic problems, surely it will affect a country's economy because of the impact of Bitcoin. And many more reasons for the government to challenge Bitcoin.

I actually understand the Government's attitude towards such on bitcoin. because the Government viewed from many sides, many viewpoints, in suitable conditions, the human resources, infrastructure. because of the bitcoin needs some aspects to be accessible, especially with its centralized so as to make the Government think twice.

I don't know the reason the government banned Bitcoin, but in my opinion it is because Bitcoin is difficult to control and the government is afraid that this will disrupt the country's economy, or it could be said the government is afraid of inflation because people are investing more in Bitcoin and finally making money abundant. the second is because of the fluctuating price of Bitcoin, irregular ups and downs. this is also what might be the reason for the government to ban Bitcoin.

I agree with what you say, drug smuggling and terrorism funding existed before the advent of Bitcoin, and the government is very afraid of Bitcoin if you know bitcoin, it is feared that crime rates will increase by conducting transactions with bitcoins that the government cannot track

Government can cover up the truth and release to the citizens the lies that looks like real. Before the creation of bitcoin drugs existed already. Terrorist attacked other countries and killed some people. That happened without bitcoin. Here comes the launching of bitcoin and till now government reason out that because it is use in illegal activities.

The government is most likely motivated by the fact that Bitcoin is associated with money laundering, drugs and terrorism.  But in fact, such bans are connected with the fact that states cannot control the decentralized system!

Yes right, the main reason for the government to ban Bitcoin is because Bitcoin is anonymous and decentralized. the government is afraid it can't control Bitcoin, so many countries ban Bitcoin. but I believe someday, many countries will accept bitcoin.

Each country naturally has different considerations regarding the prohibition of the use of the Bitcoin. And that is happening in my country, Bitcoin is strictly prohibited because the Government feared if things could be detrimental to the country. As it happens the money laundering or funding for terrorists.

The government banned Bitcoin because the government is not ready with the technology possessed by Bitcoin, they are not ready if the people suddenly prefer Bitcoin rather than the fiat money in the country, and the Government that bans Bitcoin is afraid it cannot control the growth of bitcoin and what is feared will be massive inflation in the country.
