Another Feather in the Coinbase Collection
Coinbase’s approach to educating the masses on the cryptocurrency is simple and straightforward. The Bundle offered by the exchange contains all five cryptocurrencies listed on the exchange, namely, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Ethereum Classic.

The users can decide on how much cryptocurrencies they wish to hold. The exchange will calculate a “diversified portfolio of available cryptocurrencies,” depending on the current market cap at the time the user places an order.

Interestingly, the Bundles start at $25 and gives users the chance to own grouped cryptocurrencies as per their discretion. Following the purchase of the bundle, the assets in question are distributed in their respective wallets and behave similarly to independent tokens in a user’s digital wallet. This means that cryptocurrencies can be traded independently thereafter

Coinbase’s Head of the institutional platform group Adam White decided to leave the company after managing the business for nearly 6 years, during the times when Bitcoin was trading around $200.

As the representatives of the company stated: While we’re extremely sad to see him go, we’re also confident in that group’s ability to keep executing on the vision that he laid out to be the most trusted venue for institutional investors to trade cryptocurrencies.

White’s departure may have come as a surprise to the company, which has recently been making a lot of efforts to create an infrastructure focused on institutional clients, and is also striving to become the leading trading platform for retail investors.

Also it became known that Jonathan Kellner, the former chief executive officer of Instinet will be covering the same responsibilities, as Mr. White.

CEO Brian Armstrong also added:  Over the past five years, Adam helped us build our exchange business into the largest U.S.-based crypto-trading venue, and was integral to growing Coinbase’s global presence and scaling our culture to multiple offices.

Coinbase intends to register the trademark BUIDL.

This is known from the application on the website of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The term “buidl”, popular in the crypto community, is derived from the word “build”. This word is formed by analogy with the term “hodl”, meaning long-term investment in digital assets. BUIDL implies the creation and development of new blockchain products, and not just storage of crypto active assets.

The application explains that the term "BUIDL" refers to software using the SaaS model (software as a service), which provides the tools "to carry out transactions using virtual currency". In particular, these SaaS solutions will include “software for managing, buying, selling, storing, exchanging, sending and receiving virtual currency”.
