A lot of crypto fans and investors are now worried about continuous bearish trend for Bitcoin price and other cryptocurrencies this year 2018. And now beginning to doubt their initial commitment to the Bitcoin ecospace. A lot of people have forgetting the core idea behind the invention of Bitcoin. Most of us have forgetting that Bitcoin was created to challenge the established FIAT system where money can be printed without control and no regards for inflation.
This is entirely not the fault of most of us but it is because of the Bull run Bitcoin has enjoyed so far especially in 2017 where price reaches as high as $20,000. We all got greedy and forgot about the initial ideals behind bitcoin. We all want to cash in the same Fiat currency bitcoin is trying to challenge. This in my opinion is one of the reason why bitcoin price fell this year. We do not fully trust the crypto space yet.
Bitcoin is here to stay and will remain dominant for the future and I still consider it as the most secured investment in this digital age after gold. Below are some of the reasons why I think Bitcoin is a safe investment
1. Bitcoin has already achieved mass adoption though this is subjective . A lot people will now accept bitcoin payment without worrying about how to exchange it.
2. Bitcoin is limited in supply , only 21 Million Bitcoin can ever be created. Out of which 4 million is already lost making it 17 Million.
3. Bitcoin remains dominant in the coinmarketcap with 55% of the entire marketcap
4. Bitcoin current price is still higher than what it is this same time last year
Please I will appreciate if anyone can add reason why they think Bitcoin is a safe investment.

I wouldn't say that it's the safest investment available in the short term, but I think that it's probably one of the most viable long term store of values that are currently being undervalued.
If you look at the characteristics of bitcoin, you actually see a lot of resemblance with another safe haven asset class which has been recognised traditionally, which is precious metals, especially in gold and silver which has been used as currency for centuries.
The defining aspects that make both precious metals and bitcoin good long term store of values, and thus I guess "safe investments" would be the fact that it is decentralised in terms of its supply as well as the hard limit on the supply.
Bitcoin holds an edge in terms of the actual profitability in the long run compared to gold, which has already been used for centuries, though. Since bitcoin's demand is still climbing as adoption grows, and there is still the same limit on the amount of coins that are able to be in circulation within the supply, it's honestly simple economics that bitcoin would be at the very least, an effective hedge against the inflation that takes away value from fiat currencies daily.

Bitcoin will be a safe investment because Bitcoin has high security that is difficult to track. Besides that, we can save Bitcoin in our personal wallet. Because of this, even though the government in my country prohibits transactions using Bitcoin, the government recognizes that Bitcoin is a safe investment.

I think it's worth remembering about the risks associated with Bitcoin. For example, such a feature of crypto currencies, as sending coins to an address written with an error. You should make a mistake while specifying the address to which you transfer your Bitcoin and write at least one character incorrectly, after that nobody will return the sent amount and this part of Bitcoin will be irretrievably lost. Such cases occur every day and no one can protect you from this.

why bitcoin is said to be very safe, because we can store it in a personal wallet, and no one can track it, and even though the government bans it, but they can't prevent it .

bitcoin is indeed very safe if you are able to store it properly in a private wallet, because no one is able to track bitcoin ownership in the wallet except the owner himself .

Bitcoin is the safest investment only among other Crypto-Currencies, because it's the currency that came first, it's the precursor of the entire market and the most trusted one by the investors. But when you think about another investments it's not safe, there isn't any guarantee you will make profit by holding Bitcoins, there is a lot of risk involved and it's very important for every investor to be aware about it before putting money on it expecting returns.

I dont think bitcoin is the safest investment, its true that bitcoin got limited supply and the more adoption could make the price go higher, but now the problem lies in adoption, and some of the feature makes bitcoin not benefit the country, and the government able to ban bitcoin, with less adoption the price will fall down, and I personally think bitcoin is the most profitable investment but not the safest, decentralised investment safety cant win with centralised investment.

Yes, why is bitcoin said to be the safest investment, because we can store it in a personal wallet, and no one can track the ownership of bitcoin except ourselves and even though the government forbids it, but they won't be able to prevent it

Most people invested in bitcoin but didn't conduct any research they think bitcoin as an easy way to make profit but the true purpose of bitcoin is to become a decentralized payment that would rival and challenge the current fiat system and possibly surpass it overtime with if's innovative technology. It will become the new form of payment.

Yes, I agree. I think Bitcoin is safest invesment. It is the future currency and will be needed at the future.
in general due to the advantage of the bitcoin itself. so even coins into the coin and recommended in exceptional right.

Investing in BTC or any investment platform isn’t safe and will never be safe, because just like all other investment or crypto currency platforms, Bitcoin fluctuates on a daily basis too, so you may see days where it goes up, and days where it goes down.

When we say an investment is safe, we mean the investment guarantees no losses but a higher possibility of profit. It's good that you mentioned the December 2017 bull run and how it has costs some people. Do we call an investment which is highly subjected to the wind of fluctuation a safe investment? Not likely.

Bitcoin is an excellent investment for investors. Not only is it the first mover in a fast-evolving world of cryptocurrencies but it has a massive media advantage over all of the altcoins. I think it will be the "digital gold" version of cryptocurrencies and will forever hold good value.
A smart investor would do well holding precious metals and commodities but Bitcoin is a great option as well. Many IRA companies (https://www.no links to other forums) are slowly innovating with the blockchain and are incorporating cryptocurrencies as well as precious metals into their product offerings.
Bitcoin is one of my favorite investments, and you should keep yours secure with a hardware wallet.

Bitcoin is the first of crypto currency, It is very potential and so popular now. I agree Bitcoin will be the safest investment.

Bitcoin will be the safest bet in this market as it has highest trust rating of every crypto investor and have more than 50% capital of whole crypto world. It already make many millionaires and billionaires in its ten year journey and a lot of surprises for its long term investors.
